There always be the most painful bet occured in the worst painful day of a regular gambler. If not, there should be no 5-6 pages in this thread full of gamblers's posts .
Poker is one of the most impressive games in term of "Painful". There is no worry if someone could share his pain here This should not really stophim from moving forward as you said .

Trying to break even or cope up with your losses isn't really a good target for you to mind off.Its better to move on and mind to make yourself better not only
on becoming profitable but also in handling out your emotions because this one would be the main enemy for you to experience when you do gamble
since we don't really like to lose money.

Painful on losing is normal since we are just human beings and all we do need is to move on or forward.We should be able to realize things

I can feel the pain for each gambler who lost huge money due to the uncontrollable slot addiction, every time inside voice repeats the same sentences: This time everything will be different! The loss streak drains the gamblers both emotionally and sitting alone in the room is a sign of weak psychology which everyone can show in different ways. You can learn with your own experience but at the same time, you can also learn with somebody's experiences too. Ask other gamblers what they are doing when they incur losses in their initial capital and from there, try to apply it to yourself and adjust to it. You can't control yourself when you loss?

You have 2 choices, either adjust or not gamble at all. Either way, it will benefit you though. Learn having a self control into other things. You can learn it not only by gambling more but doing something too might help you. I've also experienced losing at first but fortunately, I learned how to control myself in a short amount of time

I am not sure if they know the risk before playing because I think many people don't think about the risk. They only visit the casino, deposit some money, and then playing some gambling games. After playing some rounds, they see that they don't have any chance to win instead of losing their money, so they decide to deposit more money because they are curious about the game. At that moment, they will not think about how much money they will lose at the gambling table because they want to play longer.

Actually as simple as it sounds it hurts a lot when you lose a close parlay. I made a multi bet some days ago with my UFC bets and I was so close to hitting it but actually the lowest odds in the multi bet turned out to be reason of my demise.

I had many days in my gambling life where I felt I was so close to winning and I have developed the ability to forget the loses but still when I lose some close bets it still hurts and no matter how much cool I try to react but it is obvious that I am upset. No matter how great you are at betting loses always affect you emotionally and you cannot deny that, yes you can and should move on but they always hurt.

Two ways and one is a mistake, about quitting gambling is still possible, but about chasing losses is something wrong. Anyway, those who gamble are only chasing the losses in the end and gradually they will realize that the way things are wrong. No matter how big a loss you experience, even though it is a small loss, as much as possible you don't need to think about chasing losses, gamble as usual because that way you will unconsciously be able to take back what you lost before, maybe not 100% but at least there is a wound that you can partially cover.

Two ways and one is a mistake, about quitting gambling is still possible, but about chasing losses is something wrong. Anyway, those who gamble are only chasing the losses in the end and gradually they will realize that the way things are wrong. I agree that it is impossible to be perfect in gambling, because from the start playing gambling was indeed a 50/50 percentage to win.
So the possibility of losing in gambling is sure to happen, so you can't expect to always win in gambling. Even though the reality is painful,
we have to believe that there is still a possibility that we can win in gambling. The most important thing in playing gambling is our attitude
when we accept defeat, we must be able to accept it and move on.

Add a third option and that is they can gamble still but they learned from their past experiences already and they know how to control things.

Chasing losses will lead to nothing although I can't say that those who chased their losses ALL ended up losing more, there are a number of gamblers who chased it but still got profits. Quitting gambling isn't advisable especially for those addicted ones because if you will force them to quit they might do the opposite.

Losing is inevitable in gambling but the only thing that you can do is to just move on and stop it. I just watched a video of somebody who lose $6 Million in casinos and he got broke, sold all of his apartments and investments. Right now he is just a mere vendor in the street but now happy of every single cent that he has.

Sunday, 10th of November 2013 is a day I will never forget in hurry. I accumulated about 12 games which gave me a total of 67 odds. 10 games out of the 12 were concluded already, 1 game was cancelled due to poor weather, so I was waiting patiently for the outcome of the last game and it was a 5k bet. Should I say the funniest part or sorrowful part was that the last game I was waiting for was among the games with least odds on the ticket. The odd was about 1.27 because it was over 1.5 I played and it was the game of Man U vs Arsenal. This game was like a torn on my flesh because it seriously dashed my hope back then, it was since that day I started believing in the adage that says 'Do not count your chicks until they are hatched. Don't forget I said it was over 1.5  I played and for those of us who could remember the game, Van Persie scored around 27th minute assisted by Rooney. At that point I started calling people I was owing to forward their account numbers for me to settle my debts. And for those of us into gambling, we are all aware that paradventure if a game is cancelled or postponed in an accumulated bet, such game will be counted as void, this made the odd to reduce to 52 odds with 5k making it a total of 260k to be won. My brothers, I was waiting patiently for the second goal to be scored in the game because the first half ended 1:0.
When the game entered 80th minute, I started sweating profusely despite the fact I was the nearest person to the standing fan in the viewing centre, the plastic bottled coke I was drinking was tasting bitter, no be small thing ooo. I was very desperate to see the second goal scored either by Man U or Arsenal. It got to a stage, despite the fact I am Man U fan, I started praying for Arsenal to score whenever they took the ball to Man U box 18. My brothers, when money is involved, you will forget whether you are a fan of a particular club or not. When the final whistle was blown with the result 1:0, I felt like entering the ground. That was how my hope of winning 260k bet was dashed. I can never forget that very day in hurry, Sunday 10 Nov.2013
 

If you think that the most painful day is the worst day ever then you are wrong. We all know that winning is good for us but did you know that lose can give you an experience and knowledge? Losing day is not the worst because the worst is the day when you did nothing because nothingness can only give you nothingness. If you lose, rest then play again and try to regain what you've lost. Even the best gambler can also lose because the odds of winning never goes 100%.
