That's not the value of a chip, but rather how much you need to wager in order to get one. Since Chips has a 1% house edge dice game, the lowest cost to get one at the moment is $0.45. I don't know what a good way to figure out the value of a chip since they can't be traded (yet anyways).

People assumed everyone would buy it to get dividends like crazy and price would go up, but it turns out there were more people who were interested in selling and getting out right away instead of trying to wait for dividends so price crashed.

I feel the same way for this idea as well, don't get me wrong as a casino chips is one of the most entertaining ones I had pleasure gambling, but the price of one chip would crash if there was a way to exchange it to eth/btc or any other pair since people would rather get money today instead of waiting.

It actually breaks down the unique purposes of this kind of 'token' if it is listed in some exchange. I like how things are with chips and I have read this in telegram chats that they dont have the plan to list it on exchange ( atleast not for now ) so its all good.

Having these type of ownership situation for the gamblers will always yield some return in marketing sense. I wouldn't know how much it would profit the casino creators or how much it would help the people who wager, but at the end of the day I know that it would be good marketing and maybe that is why chips started this good and already has this many people in it. Because in the end, if you end up gambling and losing 10k dollars here, you could get a ton of chip and you could just hope for the best and collect your profits and with that maybe you can make your money back, sure it would take a very long time but it is making that money back.

Where else can you gamble and lose your money and slowly make it back without doing anything? There are no single other place AFAIK.

As for me, I will stay away from slots for at least two months(starting 2 days ago). This is my strategy for avoiding losing more than I can afford to lose, and for avoiding addiction: if in one day I lose to slots the amount I can only afford to lose in 2 months - I don't play slots for 2 months, starting right after the loss.

I do understand both parties in that type of scenario. If you would like to wait and get dividends forever as long as you can that means you are going to eventually make your loss back and on top of that you will keep the tokens and on top of that you will keep making dividend as well so you are not going to have any problems, sure maybe it will take 3-5 years or maybe just 3-5 months and that is the risk you take here, but it is not a bad idea.

Unlike all other casino, everyone can check how much the site is making so it would probably scare some potential players. If The Vault stays around 5-10k profit that would be ideal for the current volume imo.

In long term ,the house would win so in the end of the day as long as there are significant wagered volume in the site then everyone would keep on enjoying that profit share.

I also like players winning on Chips but not to the point that it will make the Casino bankrupt.  Players need to experience great wins in order for them to stay and keep playing.  So it doesn't bother me much if the vault turns negative or positive as long as the Casino keeps on operating, dividends will keep flowing.

I think it is more about winning contest? I can't really say because I am not involved, usually requires too much capital and I rather not change the way I gamble just because there is a prize at the end.
