I agree that Pacquiao had an upset win against Thurman. But still I am quite skeptical about his chances against Mcgregor. He may be more suited for MMA, but Mcgregor is in the top of his form. Obviously you can point to his recent defeats (such as the loss to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in boxing and to Khabib Nurmagomedov in MMA), but his last performance (TKO against Donald Cerrone) once again proves that he's among the best out there.

BTW, one of the reasons why I would be making a bet in favor of Mcgregor is that the gambling odds will always be biased for Pacquiao, due to the huge number of fans who bet in his favor. I would say betting in favor of Pacuqiao is like a high-risk move, with potential for a low-return.

But the odds change as the fight gets closer, (which usually happen). However, in this fight, Manny should be the opening betting favourite and I doubt that Conor can overcome it. Obviously, they are going to fight in the ring, although Conor has a powerful left as well, Manny has a good chin, (although broken by Marquez), but still I believed it can hold against Conor's left. And we all know that Pacquiao is a volume puncher, his right hand is underrated, but I think it will be his main weapon against Conor and then it will be finish with his left.

That's true, that article is not necessary to those who really bet and followed the fight. When I first check the odds in the beginning, I see Pacquaio as the underdog so I took that odds plus my price boost and get a better odds, and I was thankful I bet early as when the fight was close to happening, odds have flip in favor of Manny.

Since McGregor is a Mix martial artist he can switch to boxing with no problems. So he will fight Manny Pacquiao in his sport which is boxing. Now McGregor need to accelerate his practice in his stamina because last time he fought Mayweather he is lacking this basic and lose the fight. they don't have more than 5 rounds in the UFC because fights won't reach that long. But in boxing, he needs to expect the fight to reach 12 rounds since he is fighting one of the living legends.

Such fights only annoy me and do not cause any interest, this is a farce. Obviously, Pacquiao will win easily. I would look with interest at Conor's boxing with some boxer from the bottom of the first hundred - young and ambitious. That would be really interesting (and I think Conor would lose).

I think this could be a very tense fight because Manny Pacquiao's reputation is at stake against Conor McGregor who I think still has the potential to win if he can use good strategy and have high luck. just watch how the match and the results hopefully won't be a nightmare for Pacquiao.

I don't think it can be a tense fight - if the terms of the contract do not spell out bonuses for the long duration of the fight and Pacquiao wants to, he will easily end the fight in the first round. Connor is very weak as a boxer. He needs to first try to defeat someone from the second hundred, and not arrange a show/wrestling fights with the tops.

As a Manny Pacquiao fan, of course I am quite excited to hear the news that Manny will be boxing against Conor McGregor.
I won't miss this match, not because McGregor is a strong opponent. But I am always entertained by Manny Pacquiao's
boxing style, and I'm also sure Manny Pacquiao will beat McGregor easily. Even veteran boxing coach Freddie Roach predicts
McGregor will only hold out 2 rounds against Manny Pacquiao.

WTF? That means that if you bet in favor of Pacquiao, then even if he wins you may not get anything in return (after the deposit fees, commission and taxes). What is the point in such a high odd? If you make a bet for $1,200, then you may end up with $100 if Manny wins. And out of this $100, they will cut $90 as commission and deposit fee (depending on the gambling site). Take my advice, and go for McGregor. You will win a fortune if you are lucky.

That's Kevin Iole, I would say one of the most trusted sport writer in combat sports.

Of course MMA fans specially from Ireland will try to hype this fight. We all know that Conor has also the whole of Dublin behind his back and he is still their number one sport figure as of now. Pacquiao though will be the betting favourite here and I doubt that they can overcome that odds.

They could probably bring some money with them, bet on Conor and pretty much disappointment when Conor doesn't even last 5 round against Manny.

I'm confused, i've read article stating that this fight would happen in the Middle East on Jan. 2021 but a recent article by Boxingscene.com stated that Pacman would only fight Connor if he is the co-promoter of this fight and i've also read a news wherein Mikee Garcia said that Manny will be fighting him and not McGregor  .

Yeah Manny has high chances if winning. Besides why would mcgregor wanted to fight manny in a boxinf ring? I think the fight will be all about the money. Since Manny has influence greatly in boxing especially during the fight with Mayweather then others like Mcgregor has been motivated to ask for fight even if they are not in line with their fighting career.
