I was surprised when I heard about this fight. I know both fighters stated that it’ll happening, but it isn’t officially announce yet right? But the fight really seems one step closer being in reality.

On top of that, it looks like McGregor will accept the UFC offer and would be having a rematch fight against Dustin Poirer this year. Smart move using Pacquiao as leverage to get UFC an offer.

Looking forward for Pacquiao vs McGregor matchup. Smiley

McGregor should focus on his career and not in boxing. Boxing is not his game and he even wants to challenge the best boxer in the world? How he think he could win?

I think he is only after the money. No chance that he can knock down Manny and beat him. However, if he really has the intention to win in this match then he shoul be making physical conditioning as early as possible to catch up with Manny in terms physical abilities.

Do you remember the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor fight of 2017? McGregor reportedly received $130 million for the fight. That is almost $4 million for every minute of the fight. So what do you think? Are you saying that McGregor should have refused this opportunity, saying that he is not interested in boxing? Boxing and MMA are just professions. In the end, money matters a lot.

Let me just add to this:

As much as we hated the Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao fight, we cannot deny the fact that both of them made hundreds of millions of dollars in that match alone. At the end of the day, it really boils down to the business discussed between the fighters. All of their gimmicks and rivalries are part of their campaign in order to hype the fight and gather as much audience as possible to increase their winnings.

Still, a fight between McGregor and Pacquiao may sound ridiculous at first but let us all be honest that we will still be looking forward to see them fighting on the ring. I hope this fight materializes in the near future and see the people's champ back at the ring again!

yep, I agree he already made numerous achievement in the UFC and the Floyd match earned him more than his entire UFC career. Conor probably is thinking of retiring completely and Pacquiao match could give his retirement money. LMAO

Boxing is really a money-making business. And the decision of the fighters is greatly influenced by their respective promoters. Even if the boxer has a cause in his mind, still it depends on his promoter. But of course when it comes to actual fight, we want these boxers fight toe-to-toe but when they become too technical like Mayweather, we feel that we are being cheated. And this match - Pacquiao vs. McGregor will gonna push thru if there are already whales behind this fight.

No matter how ridiculous it sounds, I am sure that the PPV buys will set a new record for this fight. Many months to go, but the hype has already started building up. The "money fight" (Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Conor McGregor) reported a total of 4.3 million PPV buys from the United States (at $89.95 per view) and 874,000 PPV buys from the United Kingdom (£19.95 each). We can expect similar figures for Manny vs McGregor.

I received a notification from this today and it sounds like this match is going to turn into a reality.

I think McGregor is going to fight and defeat the Legendary Pacquaio because he is more focused now on being President in his county (Philippians) then training for a fight with someone so dangerous like McGregor.

Manny in how you mentioned is legendary so that means he is professional so training is what he does for the fight.
and beating Connor is one thing he wanted to since the prize he will get some will come for the corona victims.
and like what he does in all fights he did, focusing in practice is His virtue ,and about being Busy in Presidential?nope the Election is 2 years from now so he has all the time to train and beat connor.

It will turn into reality but what you said that Manny will be defeated that's still a speculation. Well, good for McGregor to defeat PacMan, yeah, he got the height and the reach but will that match to Pacman's quickness? I doubt that.

By the way, there's no Philippians country it's Philippines and what you said he's in focus on being a President that's hilarious, there's a rumor about that but I don't think Pacquiao will ever make that decision even when the election comes nearing.

Let's just admit it, we are absolutely crazy about this match. The nerds inside us wants the match to happen. Hell if Hugh jackman will fight Manny Pacquiao or McGregor we will watch that fight too, pretty sure of that. We know these are scripted antics or charitable antics but still we are in it because we want it to happen and our curiosity inside us will propel the idea until it happens. Odds are in favor of Pacquiao but what do we know of Connor's skills after his stint with Mayweather? We might be in for one hell of a surprise.

So funny to see some speculation about McGregor beating up Pacquiao since if we talk about experience for sure McGregor will be a tiny piece for him and as you said base on physical statistics as well on capabilities for sure McGregor will be short for that matters.

And also I don't think Pacquiao will run for presidency for year 2022 since most provably he will support the candidacy of their allied. Also Pacquiao is always prepared whenever he have a fight, so for sure it will be a tough day for McGregor if he meet Pacquiao in the canvass.

Actually laughed when i do read up those sentiments do talk about on Conor on beating up Pacquiao without even trying to look the differences among the two.

Not saying that its too far off but basing of on stamina then he's no match with Pacquiao and when it comes to sturdinies and power punches then it would really be tested out on this upcoming fight(If it would push through).

When it comes to president candidacy then i dont see that it will happen also even he's a world champ, people wont really risk out on putting him into presidency yet this one is an another
crucial position that cant really be easily taken for granted.

Sports doesn't ran out of haters, specially with Pacquaio, we have seen fighters, sports media trying to bring him down, but still Pacquaio is on top.

Well, it's a different fight for Pacquaio, we all know that politics is dirty in the Philippines so we don't know if he is willing to get himself involved, specially the office that he is going to run is the highest. And this fight is more of a joke actually, and we all know that they are just trying to raise money, but McGregor will surely do get another huge paycheck.

Pacquiao wanted the fight, that is the same with McGregor.

It is true that these two are aiming for that money. I am not saying that Pacquiao is the as McGregor, I am saying that he has these good plans for that money for the people in our country that is being hit badly by the pandemic. These incoming months are also so bad since usually storms or typhoons are tend to pass through our country. These people needs help.

Obviously Manny Pacquiao is the most famous athlete from the Philippines. But I am not sure whether politics is the suitable field for him. He is already a senator and I think his approval ratings are satisfactory. But to go any higher, he needs political experience. If you remember, Vitali Klitschko of Ukraine also entered politics after his retirement from boxing. Although he is not doing that bad as the Mayor of Kyiv, I am not sure whether he is 100% happy now.

There's no problem with experience but being a politics as he has that, however what more important is the knowledge, as for me, there are more smart people than him that is deserving in the higher position as next to senator is vp or president which main job is running the country.

You're right! Not to discriminate but on such position it does really need for someone who do really had the intellect and passion on such position because running or handling a country doesnt really
just rely on sympathy and understanding of its citizen but rather you would really need that knowledge on how to make things on organized manner and doing things which would really be good or for the
benefit of your country. Its better to focus on his current political position while he's still not retired on his boxing career. When it comes to training then theyre not really that careless on that one
specially if fight is upcoming then its anticipated that they would really be prepared. Some said that he's already not on good condition due to his political job but he had prove out that
he do still had that firepower.

Manny has to better focus on sports as that's where he is good at, not in politics especially on higher position. I would prefer to see those who run as president are Lawyers with good reputation as they know the law, Manny has studied late in his life to earn a degree, he does not fit in that position.

Anyway, Manny has already did some big contribution by making his MP promotion, now, it's easier for Filipino fighter to earn fights in the US.

Just to bump this and I find it something funny but I think McGregor should do this trick so that Pacquiao may not find any opening on him LOL! https://www.facebook.com/Koreanvideovlog/videos/730845957786409/

Though still a long way for a fight since it's been pushed through until first half of 2021 but I'm that excited again for the upcoming fight of PacMan.

I didn't knew that this match has been moved. What's the exact month on 2021 that this fight will commence? I'm looking for some sources on the web but can't find any. Most of the articles that I've found are 4 weeks and more ago.

I think it has been moved since McGregor wants a rematch with Dustin Poirier and I've been reading his tweets looks like it will still be a long way to go before we see the fight between them (PacMan vs. The Notorious). I think it's for best to lock the thread until the fight is nearing, never read some news lately and I miss it has already been extended and it looks like McGregor is really an enigma where he would really want to be if it's on UFC or on boxing.
