I think between 10k and 12k, the markets have been really stable this year, that's why i think we will not see a big change in the next 3 months.

It has been a really crazy year for the markets, we don't know what surprises more will have this 2020 for us, so any radical move on the markets it's possible.

There is a good movement yesterday mate and Bitcoin already reached 11,000$ again while I'm typing the price grows more to 11,400$ so i think we are not stable now .

and i may regret voting for the same as yours since it may 12,000-14,000 will win this time.

At least we have much better market compared to the last2 years of 2017 and 2018 mate, because now we are seeing a strong hold of the Bitcoin price comparing to the past years.

I love the smell of green candle. $12,000 for bitcoin is an average price, right now bitcoin is trading around $11,500 this is because large institutions make investment on Bitcoin instead of Dollar.

It's so difficult to anticipate yet it's so fun being in the game. Here, It's going very nice and good part is it's becoming more and more mature by the day. Does it finally breakout properly now or still sideways, that's the big question though.

I voted for $12000 - $14000 because its a realistic price and not hard to achieve.

This year the price of bitcoin shows a significant growth despite of the pandemic. Now we are in the last quarter but still there are many things that can affect the price to become bullish. New year is another beginning and hopefully its a good price for us.

Price getting stronger now and looking good as crossed 11k levels and now at 11400$. If we can be strong and hold this price range then I am of the opine that we may see in range or 12-14k or may be above as well possible if we have good buying happening or no negative news creates a panic in market.

Bitcoin is slowly growing again because this is a sign of an increase at the right time, the pandemic does not care about what is happening to the economic situation or the hot news that is happening but with it now returning to 11.3k it indicates that there will be a significant increase even though it is not yet in sure literally, but I am sure that with a 14k-16k vote it will be easy to achieve at the end of this year market conditions have started to stabilize and with the encouragement of DeFi which is trending this year.

At the moment, the markets are stable only because of the support measures that the governments of most countries have launched. The actual state of affairs in the economy is very bad and all this stability can end in one moment - the resources of governments are not unlimited. If that happens, then the crypto market will suffer too (as we saw in March).

Given that the majority assumes price will be between $12-16K, assume price to be <$12K or >$16K  Wink
Personally I think $10-12K, either than or $15K+.

Shakeout to $7K, please!

Seems like most people gravitated towards the median. Interesting looking distribution:

I’m just genuinely curious to see the sentiment amongst bitcointalk posters. Please no trolling which includes being overly bearish or bullish. Just vote for what you genuinely think, no agendas.

Personally, I’m thinking option 4 ($12,001 - $14,000).
I also voted for 4 option .The trend is going fine to the uptrend if its carried the result Will most probably to touch 14k$ .Hope for the up always .

$100 - $10,000 is my best guess.

Bitcoin Fact: the price of bitcoin will not be greater than $70k for more than 25 consecutive days at any point in the rest of recorded human history.

Paradox, but 100 trillion dollars << 20 trillion (these are not exact numbers, but you get the point). After a certain limit, resources turn into plain paper. Therefore, there is still a limit. An unlimited injection of money into a dead economy will have a short-term effect, but will intensify further fall when the bubble bursts.

$14,001 - $16,000 is the preferred choice of the participants and it's more likely to happen if the current movement that we are seeing continues I'm ok with this level not much expectation this year, next year can bring a lot of surprises in terms of the price and adoption.

I put my honest answer which is somewhere around 10k but Im often too skeptical and I shouldnt be as in a totally blind way, dollar is very weak which should make progress easy so being negative BTC might incorrect and going against the crowd as they easy money spins out of dollar value.   So long as there isnt a contraction in sentiment or monetary velocity especially there probably isnt a great reason to be bearish on BTC right now, however I consider 10k to be high anyhow.
Whatever the price I expect more volatility, I cant see how the path forward would be smooth and the easy money policy is masking real movements underneath.   I think its dangerous to relax basically but hey I did say Im a skeptic.

BTC has just been the same risk on/risk off trade as everything else in the stock market this year. It used to be a separate entity, but this long wished for adoption by wall street is unfortunately making us just play by the same rules.

Where will it go? I guess Powell is pushing for up, but I think we'll revisit our February lows again.

In theory you may be correct, but it's silly to speculate about such a limit.

For more than 3 decades now, I've been hearing doomsday Austrian economists tell me how the imminent collapse of fiat money is coming. After living through 2008 and 2020, I am not confident that I will ever see that collapse in my lifetime.

An unlimited injection of money into a dead economy will have a short-term effect, but will intensify further fall when the bubble bursts.

"Dead economy?" We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. Wink

Infinite amount of cash is a silly thing, they shouldn't even have said that because it makes no sense, it is like a small kid. "We have infinite amount, we can buy the whole world if we want to, we would just print money and buy whatever we want, we are super rich!!" that is literally how it sounds like when you read it whereas in reality they didn't mean that obviously.

Trump already caused them to print more than they should, this is going to cost the next president a lot of trouble, if it is still Trump he will deal with 63 million unemployment application on top of printing %23 of all the dollars there is in the world just in 4 years, all of which will make him literally hated all throughout the history of mankind, but if Biden comes in it may need more than one term to fix it.

Same reason why i am not visiting the WO thread because aside from i am not really good in analysis also i seems like it was being manipulated(This is my own opinion please respet) and yeah in any trading everything is the same and this needs our skills and knowledge before gaining amount.

Where will it go? I guess Powell is pushing for up, but I think we'll revisit our February lows again.
well that is march mate and not February ,but yeah there can be another dumping and things may flip either to Grow as bull expected this end year or at least till 2nd quarter or 2021.

Given that the majority assumes price will be between $12-16K, assume price to be <$12K or >$16K  Wink
Personally I think $10-12K, either than or $15K+.

Shakeout to $7K, please!

Seems like most people gravitated towards the median. Interesting looking distribution:

At the moment, the markets are stable only because of the support measures that the governments of most countries have launched. The actual state of affairs in the economy is very bad and all this stability can end in one moment - the resources of governments are not unlimited. If that happens, then the crypto market will suffer too (as we saw in March).

The Fed actually said recently that they have infinite cash to inject into the system. https://www.bloomberg.com/opinion/articles/2020-03-23/coronavirus-fed-s-infinite-cash-tested-in-world-of-leverage

Not on every price jump a shake out is needed......

Leave away those dirty shake outs ....

Parabolic up is what we want  Grin

BTC has just been the same risk on/risk off trade as everything else in the stock market this year. It used to be a separate entity, but this long wished for adoption by wall street is unfortunately making us just play by the same rules.

I do not agree that bitcoin is same with everything else, there is a big difference in all of them, obviously there will be similar moments but just look at the recent up and how the stock market didn't had that.

So, do not get manipulated by people who keep saying that nothing will change if you invest into stocks or crypto and they are same, those people are wrong and crypto is much more volatile.

Even on the same trajectory like let's say stocks go up and crypto go up together, crypto goes up a lot more than stocks do, this is why you should always have crypto in your portfolio. People will talk about what they think will happen but that will always be their "opinion" unless they are getting in the trade with tens of billions of dollars their opinion will change nothing.

$100 - $10,000 is my best guess.
This is good news coming from you. So you don't expect bitcoin going to zero which is super good! Thanks proudhon.
By the way, my range is that of 18000-20000 simply because it takes a few more publicly traded companies to start accumulating sats and the price can not go any lower if some many coins are out of reach.
And the more coins will be secured in everyone's wallets the higher the price you all know this.
