Here are my opinions on how the games will play out  

Liverpool 1-1 RB Leipzig (Liverpool win 4-0 aggregate)
Paris Saint-Germain 2-0 Barcelona (Paris Saint-Germain win 5-2 aggregate)

Congratulations to Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain. Their next games are in the quarter-final stages.

@JollyGood it seems like Liverpool were finally able to bounce back in this match, and now I feel that they will turn their focus on winning the champions league, because if they don’t then they will miss out playing in this competition next year.

Also while I feel bad for Messi something tell me he’s not done with Barcelona, and he’ll soon be signing a new contract because he went to vote and chose his favourite president.

I do not feel bad for Messi, his salary is at least $123 million per year and he can walk away at the end of the season without anybody paying to buy him from Barcelona.

As for Liverpool, all they have to salvage their dismal season is the Champions League and even though they won 4-0 on aggregate to reach the quarter-final stage I think it is clear they will not win the competition and they will probably struggle to qualify for the semi finals.

I think Chelsea are good contenders for the trophy....I am seriously backing them.

A beautiful champions league night; Modric and Kroos bossing it at that age in the biggest stage is not spoken about enough; Benzema link up play even remains excellent; Real Madrid deservedly won even with a depleted squad and Liverpool has it all to do at Anfield. Will Klopp get it right in the second leg? i doubt it because TAA was ridiculously exposed lol.

Manchester City meanwhile made me lose my bet thanks to VAR; a 2-1 victory with more to play for in the second leg; its gonna be massive in Germany; i still think Dortmund will go through to the next round with Real Madrid.

The delivery by Kroos to set up the first goal was just great as was the technique to control the ball on the shoulder/chest by Vinicius Júnior before scoring.

If Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid go through to the semi-finals it means both Manchester City and Liverpool will be knocked out - that will be a disaster for English football. Chelsea are still in the competition so theoretically 3 of the 4 teams in the semi-final could be English

Manchester City were fortunate to take the win but I think they will be beaten in the second leg. Borussia Dortmund will go all out for a win but it will be a close match.

What do you think about Liverpool, do they have any chance of qualifying for the semi-finals by beating Real Madrid? even if they win the game Real Madrid could go through on the away goals rule. Even if Liverpool win 2-0 they will go through because they scored an away goal in the first leg.
