If desired, you can easily disguise other processes under graphics and animation. Especially if you hire good programmers who optimize the site code, which will allow the site not to take up a lot of computer power. However, such actions on the part of the casino would be illogical. They earn a lot of money from gambling and value their reputation. If someone noticed their deception, it would bury the reputation of the online casino and it would lose its main source of income.
Making browser mining scripts is not something that is difficult to do, especially for professionals who really understand those things. When a site has a browser mining script then they can steal/hijack user computers and use their resources (processing power) to mine some crypto and this script runs in the background. As you said, for gambling sites that are not well known it is possible to do this action, but for gambling sites that already have a name, of course they will think a lot before doing that.

here's my device's specs: - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU @ 2.70GHz - 16 GiB RAM - GM108M [GeForce 920MX]
I suppose with those specs, it should be some other process that's actually negatively affecting your system, or that the wolfbet autobet feature just takes up that big of a process, mainly due to the auto bet codes they have. That or a malware got in and is pretty much eating up you're CPU processes by hiding behind other online processes. Since you also used Ubuntu, which I said I have not much knowledge of, the numbers you're seeing right now might have been capped at a certain limit, hence why it's huge. The cap isn't necessarily the maximum amount your pc can handle, but rather the maximum amount your browser could use. Anyway, one things for sure, it isn't them mining in your pc. Try doing a hard format, or just cleaning up tempfiles and the like. Scan your pc as well for possible malware, and if the issue persists, try bringing it into a professional and let them take a look at possible issues your pc may have.

If that casino is a reputable casino, I don't think they will do that because it could give them a bad reputation, and their casino will reduce the number of members. The casino doesn't want to risk their reputation because of the simple thing, and they really concern about it. So we hope that the casino is not mining with our computer. Maybe he needs to check everything on his computer, so he knows what is happens with the computer.

I don't have problems with auto betting on wolf.bet and other sites. I guess OP should try to reformat his pc and then to try auto, that will show to him that probably something else was eating his memory! Antivirus helps for some things, but from time to time I have to run antimalware and I usually have +10 threats. My comp becomes so slow, whatever I do it takes time to load, only after running antimalware everything gets back to normal! And just for the record, it would be crazy (like some conspiracy theory) that crypto casinos are using our computers for cpu mining!

I just heard that there is a gambling site that uses the user's computer for mining. But I'm sure the gambling sites mentioned in the opening post don't do that. Because myself have proven it by starting auto-bet at both gambling sites, and my computer temperature is normal. Maybe your computer is a have problem, try checking whether there is malware or not. To make it better, please format and reinstall all your computer applications.

Technically, NO.
How about performing several tests. Use different browsers and make sure that only a single browser is running at the same time (application process).
Record logs and from there, you can actually conclude if there's something wrong.
Exactly and we can also monitor the use of various resources of the PC when making bets and see if there is any anomaly that exist because if the mining is being actually done then there is a high CPU usage and you can easily check that from the Task Manager (for windows you can press Alt+ Ctrl + Delete and the task manager will open) I am quite confused why the PC will get slow by betting at all and never happened with me but then I am more a sports betting player and hardly play dice or other quick games so I am not entirely sure. But surely there is no mining happening because there would have been many users complaining about it if there was any such practices being performed by the casino.

You're exaggerating a little. Scripts that are installed on the site only work in the browser environment. As soon as you close the site where the scripts or browser are running, they will immediately stop working. This is done specifically to prevent viruses from being installed on your computer in this way. In order for the virus to enter your computer, you need to download the executable file of the virus voluntarily or by deception.

I do not think that the gembling sites use hidden miners on the computers of their visitors. They are more important to attract the player with beautiful graphics and animation, which will be problematic when the computer processor or GPU involved in the mining.
They cannot mine technically either because they would require the gambler to install some script or software to mine right? And I have never seen a gambling site offering some downloads before a user starts their gambling. I still understand that some users might feel the lagging after a extended run on automated betting because of the resources used by the betting and as a result the computer might slow down. I think gambling places require very high ram because some of them use FPS so that they require more resources whereas for mining I think it will never happen like that, this is the same as playing FPS games you leave it all day which is sure the cache will accumulate and will slow down the process or device performance.
Yeah, but FPS games is a different aspect and betting on dice simply is different as it does not need to use RAM as much and games require a lot of computer resources but a simple online surfing and making bets must not take as many resources as a FPS game. I think it might also be web lag where the website gets freeze ad you sometime feel like the whole computer is lagging.

Some gambling websites ask to install the script-app for a faster gaming experience, for example, Stake.com In my first experience, the site asked to install the app for both mobile and desktop versions, and tried it on my Android phone. TBH, it is better to use its app which is faster, smoother but never experienced any kind of delay or high CPU/GPU usage by the website itself. As suggested, cleaning the PC and checking the mentioned websites can clear the raised question.

Websites that I tried for this experiment: - Luckyfish.io - Wolf.bet
Do you think that they are using our computers of CPU mining?
That's cheap trick if they are going to do this, they can make a lot of money if gamblers keeps on playing, but if the computer of their clients is lagging and they are stealing it's resources then they can lose a lot of money if clients decides not to use their platform, there's hardly money to be made from mining now, I have not played on both gambling sites but my reasoning is based on common sense.

Since you're using your browser to access their website, your PC should take a load from your browser. I don't think a single webpage can access your whole PC to mine. No one can access your PC until you allowed them by downloading a virus or their product. When you run something, you give full access to your pc to someone. I suggest you clean your PC and start a scan.

I never think of that, it's good thing some user observed this behavior in gambling website the two websites you have mentioned are those the casinos where you experience this kind of behavior in the CPU or there are others too? I played with wolfbet before using automated betting on their dice game but I haven't checked out or experience any changes in performance of my computer maybe my computer can handle it? What could be the reason the CPU is spiking?

This is overthinking, because it isn't that easy and with ease such activities can be found out. This will ruin the reputation of that particular gambling site. These days we've got data sharing and data access of other computers. Maybe with that in mind OP might've thought of his cpu power being used by the site for mining.

I never thought of that possibility. I'm going to run some tests here on my machine to make sure they don't mine while I'm playing on the betting site. Very interesting question of yours. There is not really any need to do something like that, most popular browsers are going to have the option to block cryptominers by default since this was a problem years ago if I remember correctly, however just to be sure check the configuration settings of your browser just to make sure that everything is in order, most browsers have that option activated by default but if you have played with the settings there is the possibility you deactivated that option by mistake and you need to activate it again.

Possibly and it should really be checked rather than making up some slight accusations on to those mentioned websites which arent actually making those shady stuffs. They cant really just risk into the reputation that they had built for too long on just a simple hiding miner into their site and as you said that most browsers now does have that blocking feature when it comes to possible mining activities behind. Most people had already confirmed that they arent experiencing the same thing and everything was normal when running up the autobet feature.Maybe its good to check other applications were open so that he can spot out on where this process came from?

Freebitco used to allow mining via the browser as an option, like the faucet they run it would give a small amount back for using the site. They actually get asked regularly why they dont bother any more and its mostly because various site explorers or search engines like google or similar would mark the site negatively and notice the crypto active elements as a kind of malware. Any site considering using mining either by consent or not would not want to be excluded from search engine results in most cases, thats a valuable path of new customers. A torrent site which is already restricted by various laws on the other hand would not consider that a problem.

Websites that I tried for this experiment: - Luckyfish.io - Wolf.bet
Do you think that they are using our computers of CPU mining?
I don't think so I have never read a gambling casinos with miner on their web page, they will be tagged if they are going to do that, so far it's only you, better check all the applications that is or are running in your back door, it could not come from gambling site, because they will not make money CPU mining and they will be reported and gamblers will leave their gambling platform.
