The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

Could it be that Chancecoin pretty much goes through the roof at the moment? According to my logs there were more queries in the last week than in the whole time periode before. Grin

And I see you are pushing lower fees for a while. How's that going? Are there significant confirmation delays? I'm especially interested in the fee itself, not the output amounts, because the later seems well accepted on a broader scale since ~June, at least according to my own tests.

Last note: ever thought about including change in one of the multisig packages? This pretty much kills the ability to spend the coins via standard client, but it may become more interesting once the transition to "fees per single byte" (vs. per 1000 byte, rounded up) is done.

@Devs can you explain a bit more how btc betting is working?
I have cha in my account but I am betting using btc - I don't see the order book or volume change in poloniex (not when I lost and not when I win a bet).

Here's a more detailed explanation:

When you bet with BTC, we have a server that figures out how much CHA you can buy with the BTC bet on Poloniex, and then creates a special transaction that turns your BTC bet into a CHA bet (crediting your account and debiting ours). The CHA/BTC price you get is exactly what you would get on Poloniex by buying the offers at that exact moment. In fact, our server will generally actually buy those offers at the same time. In this case, we were low on funds, and so you didn't actually see transactions going through Poloniex at the time of your bet. Some of the time, as we're transferring BTC and CHA to and from Poloniex to keep this service up and running, we might not actually buy the offers immediately.

Some time soon we'll update the Technical documentation with these recent changes.

Magician

P.S. The exact fee per bet is 0.0000456 BTC.
nice update, the price should be more up!

1. This is a bug in the new version. We'll get a fix out shortly.
2. Chancecoin's blockchain is stored in the Bitcoin blockchain. All Chancecoin transactions are actually Bitcoin transactions, so Bitcoin fees are necessary.
3. This feature will be available in a later version.
4. Since Chancecoin uses Bitcoin's blockchain, all Chancecoin addresses are both Chancecoin and Bitcoin addresses.
5. TwinWinNerD has a fund for this, I'm sure he can send you some!

Chancecoin is number 15 on Bter - keep up the great work!
To motivate more people to vote, I will pay 100 CHA to the first 10 people that can prove they have 10 free votes per hour and are using them to vote for CHA  Cheesy

chancecoin is number 14.  Smiley
If we have 5-10 people with 10 free votes per hour (you only need to trade 6 btc worth of bitcoin on Bter to get 30000 bter points)
we will be number 1 in the votes in less than 1 month.

It is not a known issue. I'll summon TwinWinNerD on this one. I think he has the client running on Windows 8. Perhaps you don't have Java 8 installed? See http://chancecoin.com/participate for how to install that.

I can't help with Win 8. Have Win 7 prof and Win XP here and both work fine.

Java Exception errors happend with the NXT client too. Usually a reinstall of both Java and the client helped solving the issue.

I think we need an affiliate system like Primedice has:
"Primedice offers state of the art affiliate system. You will forever receive commision from every user you refer. Every bet they make you will receive a percentage. This is regardless of whether the bet they make is a win or a loss."

incentivising people to bring their friends and making the chancecoin community bigger is top priority.
@Devs any thoughts about this?

Working on next:
 - Faucet on Chancecoin.com
 - More single player games

To be determined:
 - Web wallet. We can't directly host a Web wallet for legal reasons, but we might be able to finagle some kind of decentralized solution.
Magician

I think that from priority point of view chancecoin needs web wallet, faucet, affiliate system, Bitcointalk signature campaign before the devs start working on more single player games.
