It cannot be ponzi, because it has a MAX SUPLLY to begin with, secondly, nobody is telling you to invest in BTC and invite more friends to generate profits and lastly, you don't need a third-party platform to save your money and nobody tells you what to do with it

How anyone who Says Can prove Bitcoin is not Ponzi?

There are More proof and evidence that it is Ponzi.

I Don't mind If its Ponzi but I Don't want to exit too late but not too early so When is the best time to exit?

You can't merge Bitcoin with the Ponzi scheme.  If you combine these two, it will be your ultimate mistake.  You made such a comment because you don't have enough knowledge about Bitcoin.  You probably know that no one controls Bitcoin.  And those who do register schemes will offer you tempting offers to get admitted in a certain place but in the case of bitcoin, it is never possible.  Those who Ponzi scheme the register in the name of Bitcoin are bad people.

Let those people decide bitcoin is Ponzi, but if bitcoin can become globally, they will realize the benefits of bitcoin to them, and maybe if they want to join in bitcoin, that will be too late for them. While they say like that, we don't need to listen to them. We can use our time to make more and more bitcoin. We need to care about us, and always try to make more money to see what we will get from bitcoin. Someday, their eyes and mind will open to see what we have from bitcoin.

How can bitcoin be ponzi? LOL! Grin
It has a limited supply of coins, and no one promises to make any profit... Here are all the new DeFi projects that can be classified as ponzi, but not as bitcoin!

@3meek I would agree with you if Bitcoin was centralised. This being said, bitcoin being decentralised - according to on chain analytics, only 10 percent of BTC is owned by 40 addresses.

BTC has grown to a point where the price is largely determined by public - hard to be a ponzi scheme when thats the case.

If you are referring into the word "People" you must have some proof of their words or even explanation how those people says it because it sounds like it is only your word who wants to start a conversation.

there are only few threads that i read about Bitcoin calling as Ponzi and those account are obvious spreading FUD and nothing to be serious about.

It cannot be ponzi, because it has a MAX SUPLLY to begin with, secondly, nobody is telling you to invest in BTC and invite more friends to generate profits and lastly, you don't need a third-party platform to save your money and nobody tells you what to do with it

Those are the fact that people don't understand instead they are throwing word without any clue,Bitcoin is a currency and you can use this anytime you wanted(as long as availability in your place) and this is what we must be thankful as saving us time and effort to generate payments.

Lol! Don't sound like uneducated Indian politicians. Let me show you the differences,

1. Ponzi scheme are run by a person/organization whereas bitcoin is controlled by none.
2. Ponzi schemes offer return on investment where bitcoin is a currency system

I don't think anymore clarification is required to prove that bitcoin is not a ponzi. But in my country, some politicians have tried to argue on the same topic. But they are uneducated, we can't take them seriously!

So, where is the evidence that bitcoin is ponzi? Please tell us, so we can prove that bitcoin is not ponzi. Because to me, there is no one who can be able to manage bitcoin, especially in its system. As for for the price movement, you will think that people who has a bunch of bitcoin can be able to manage the price movement, but I think this will happen in other asset or investment place. Someone who has a lot of capital and he comes to the investment place then he will be able to change the price movement. There is no one who will ask you to stay and leave bitcoin, just ask yourself what will do if you know bitcoin or if you have bitcoin.

I have some few questions for you  OP,
1. How do you define Ponzi?
2. What makes you believe that bitcoin is a Ponzi?

Well, in fact, the ponzi scheme is about fake investment, and bitcoin was not made only for investment, we should gather more information first before we conclude some important things.

Have a time on visiting these threads and let's see if you still considered bitcoin as ponzi Smiley.

There isnt so much proof that Bitcoin is a ponzi but maybe you are thinking of this because if you buy it high and it drops in price-  some people might think this is characteristic of ponzi scheme.
I dont think BITCOIN is a ponzo and you asked but I do think its a very risky investment and not meant for everyone.

Accusation without proof ?

May be you suffered some loss with crypto and thus you are blaming it now as ponzi. Bitcoin shares no characteristics of a ponzi scheme. There is no benefit of adding more members or referring members to bitcoin. This is something which is necessary in ponzi scheme.

This is the reason why there is a lot of stupid people thinking that it is a Ponzi because there are those saying that it is.

I don't know how can you say that it is a scam even if it isn't one. Someone pushes you to invest in it so you will be under them and while you earn, they will earn too? You could earn profits here but it will not always be the same for everyone. We are investing here, if you say this is a scam then I think you are also saying that the stock market is a scam too.

@OP, you should explain briefly why do you think bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme since you are the one here who raised the question. We can describe many reasons why it's not a Ponzi, but you should provide a single reason why its Ponzi. In a Ponzi scheme, there is a promising return on investments and some centralized organization rotating money from new investors to earlier investors. Bitcoin is a currency with limited supply, which means you can't own it if there is no seller on the other hand except mining. No one controlling bitcoin and you are the owners that amount you are holding. Doesn't matter if price bump or dump, 1BTC will be 1BTC always.

Do you know how ponzi works?
Do you know how Bitcoin works?
AFAIK, ponzi scheme is run by a group of fraudsters.
Bitcoin has no central authority, no person behind controlling the price nor holding your funds.
That alone is a solid evidence that you're looking for.

Let me ask you something. Is your health care provider/insurance a ponzi scheme?

I think you’re the one who has misunderstood everything about Bitcoin. First of all did you even do research to learn about Bitcoin, how it started, the purpose it was meant for and how it has gotten to this level? I guess you didn’t , because if you did you wouldn’t be here saying that Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme.

Bitcoin was created for one purpose and that’s for transaction. Satoshi called it a peer-to-peer payment method, the main purpose is to make transactions between individuals straight and so that there wouldn’t be any intermediaries, and by doing that it is eliminating the high fees you have to pay and makes the transactions quick. He didn’t say that it is for profit, you all the ones that have misunderstood everything. No one is promising you any profit, in fact let me make it straight for you, you’re going to lose money, and if you’re not ready for that, just step out.

If Bitcoin is a Ponzi scheme, then Gold is one as well.
Dollar and Euro are also...

Looking back at things everything is ponzi...

go find the real difference between ponzi and money
The dollar and USD as well as most fiat are actually a ponzi scheme that have debts financed by endlessly printing more money, but BTC and Gold are different in that their is a fixed supply and their price is determined by real supply and demand.

First of all, given that in the past you were accused of promoting ponzi schemes on this forum... if bitcoin really were a ponzi scheme, you would be busy promoting, instead of insulting bitcoin. Your statements give me additional confidence that Bitcoin is NOT a Ponzi scheme.

Secondly, bitcoin is not an investment, it is not offered and organized by any individual company. Its main utility is as money, not enrichment of early investors at the expense of late investors. Bitcoin's early adopters weren't promised any high returns, they weren't guaranteed even a tiny return. What they saw in bitcoin was its high potential to replace the current monetary system, to become money of a new world without central banks and central planning. How could they see it? The reason why they believed in bitcoin is because unlike ponzi schemes, bitcoin is completely transparent, its code can be inspected by everyone to ensure that it actually works. Everything in bitcoin is verifiable meaning that it doesn't require trust. Bitcoin is not fraudulent scheme, it is disruptive innovation.

Have only seen what is legal and not, have not seen anything that describe bitcoin to be ponzi. It was a mistake by some people to use bitcoin in ponzi but if some people lost bitcoin in ponzi does it make bitcoin ponzi or make bitcoin fraud. Before Government introduce money we used some earth materials as medium of transaction, some uses cowries in some part of africa before the Gold and silver. Money or currency has features which can be compared with bitcoin, the interesting with bitcoin is the scarcity and decentralization is world population of over 7 billion. For a 21 million bitcoin, having 4 year halving cycle, digital etc we are bound to see this volatility

Honestly confused what is the reason(s) OP spend his time in this forum. After asking for help on how to earn money online, he start posting about launching his own project. Then the next one he says BTC is a ponzi.

OP, make up your mind.

Any asset, or stock, could seems a product similar to a Ponzi. The profit of the early investor it's provided by the last investor.
why you think bitcoin it's a Ponzi scheme? Did you see any guaranteed profit? Are you forced to recruit other people to join? There is an organization that try to sell this coin?
Like a classic FIAT gateway, this is a way for the payment. Like you pay 1 dollar for a coffee you can pay 0,0001 btc.
No one can dictate a value, there is a free market, without emitting authority. if it was a Ponzi, the value was growing automatically, people were forced to recruit others (and force them to invest again...)

-snip- It was a mistake by some people to use bitcoin in ponzi but if some people lost bitcoin in ponzi -snip-
I don't know what kind of appearance the Bitcoin OP thinks is a Ponzi scheme that will harm many people. Bitcoin is indeed a ponzi scheme because there are some people who use Bitcoin as a tool to create a ponzi scheme project for their own benefit and in this case the ponzi scheme is not bitcoin, but a platform made by some of these people.

Many scammers use bitcoin to create ponzi projects in the form of ICOs, IEOs and various other methods, this is also referred to as "smart ponzi"

There are always pros and cons about bitcoin law, about bitcoin schemes and some other accusations.
