I will like people to go through this quote I posted sometimes ago on this forum, it really proves the differences between ponzi and bitcoin, it makes people to know those saying bitcoin is a ponzi are speaking out of sense and making no valid point.

I think that we need to add another 8 items to this list, which is also important. A distinctive feature of the Ponzi scheme is that it sets a guaranteed profit for a certain period of time. There is no guaranteed profit in bitcoin: here everyone can get a profit if the price of BTC increases, but they can also get a loss if the price of bitcoin decreases.

There are many other reasons to talk about because these are only few, bitcoin is not a ponzi like bitcoin haters are depicting it, it is completely decentralized and transparent, people that want to invest now should not be discouraged, if they learn how the market fluctuates, they will gain but they should also be mindful of the risk. No, this is a misconception. That means you do not know how bitcoin and its price works. Bitcoin is decentralized to everyone, it is not a shady currency but it is available to people to learn about it, invest it and trade it. People are invesring in bitcoin more than before, people are now very well trading it, people sell and buy and the rate of buying and selling is high, bitcoin is not about paying old investors with new investors money, we all know about bitcoin, and not a must to trade it, but depicting it bad is wrong.

3. Ponzi scheme provide an advantage to early investor by acquiring new investor and bitcoin investment are never referred to as Pyramid investment. But in bitcoin investing, early investor will only make a profit if they are willing to sell it in case of a spike in price. Volatility play an important role in this.
4. Bitcoin investing does not require new investors just to maintain or increase its price because busy market activity will continue to affect its price and it is always changing.

Many fair arguments were already pointed out by others here. I just want to say that I get it how Bitcoin might look like a ponzi scheme to people who don't know it well. Namely, some people are so pumped on Bitcoin that they aggressively promote it to their close ones and people they just met, telling them that it's the money of the future and that by investing people will get rich. And if way more people invest in Bitcoin, the price will go up, so the promoters are interested in this (but they're, of course, not getting any money directly from bringing some of their friends to the community). Moreover, if many people suddenly cash out, the price will go down. But all these things are true of various products, and they are not the essential characteristics of a pyramid. Bitcoin is decentralized and unregulated, whereas a pyramid requires strict hierarchy.

I think you’re the one who has misunderstood everything about Bitcoin. First of all did you even do research to learn about Bitcoin, how it started, the purpose it was meant for and how it has gotten to this level? Bitcoin was created for one purpose and that’s for transaction. There are a lot of proof that bitcoin is the future currency, it reaches its ATH in 2017-2018 which is really historical for bitcoin investors. Even if it is a decentralized asset, it should be in the mainstream as soon as possible, but the adoption is hard to achieve due to that ponzi mindset they are in. The real Ponzi or scam is Fiat as central banks manipulate the system to their own benefit. The rich become richer, while the poor become poorer over time. For the first time in history, we have a sovereign currency that's by the people for the people. In the first place, bitcoin is not created to start investments, it is made in order for us to have a decentralized currency system, meaning it does not need to be backed up by any existing currencies.

Exactly. But skeptics will continue to spread FUD aiming to destroy Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world. As people believe what it's said by the government and mainstream media, they'll continue to say that Bitcoin is a Ponzi or scam without doing proper research about it. Believe me, once the public gets to know Bitcoin's benefits on top of Fiat, they'll retract themselves from classifying it as a Ponzi. That is not how Ponzi works, Ponzi scheme works in a way that one investor's money is doubled because it came from the money of the other investor whilst the other investor waits for his money to double, they recruit people into investing in it and paying the older members. Bitcoin is not a Ponzi in anyway, are there higher entities that pay the old investors when a new investors come in? Absolutely not, because bitcoin is not a scheme, it is half asset and half currency which means that it is affected not only affected by investor but also by supply and demand. Bitcoin also has a limited supply while most Ponzi's will continue as long as there are recruits. People did not decide the value in paper money or gold, the higher class decided and the people trusted their judgment.

1) You always know how many bitcoins are in circulation but you DONT know how many USD are
2) once you get the bitcoins in your hand IS TRULY YOURS, no body can control your bitcoin on the other hand

they can freeze your bank account, they can empty your bank account and EVEN if you bury your money in the land they will still be able to

Negative words cant really be taken out into this market specially with bitcoin even into those early years where bitcoins adoption or recognition didnt still take off where doubts and hesitance
