Well in my country we also have limited use of bitcoin but we prior t keep the coins on holding as investments.
Hope you learn to do so because it is not only the use to buy product or service but it can be a profit provider for long term.

it is sad to say that a currency like bitcoin are keeping hold but for now this is the only way we can be safe in this until the adoption finally happens soon.

This is a funny question. Although I am not going to blame, it’s the people that keeps saying that Bitcoin is a currency and making people to see it the wrong way. Asking this kind of question is like asking which shops you can spend your gold; you already know the answer, there is no shop where you will buy something offline and they will request for gold, they will always request for cash and nothing more. Bitcoin is something similar, and mainly I see it as peer-to-peer.

But, there are still online shops that are legit and are accepting Bitcoin as payment, though it’s not the big names that you are expecting like the Amazon and the rest of them, and they may not accept it because it doesn’t suit their business, so they will go with the stable fiat and accept payments with debit cards or PayPal (which is the same). I have used Bitcoin for years for so many transactions and none of them were for purchasing anything online.

Actually, crypto is not about buying stuff online; you can not blame bitcoins just because your store isn't accepting it or unable to find any store.
Crypto is something about earning profit with the investment. I mostly do trade and earn a high profit. After that, I convert my coins into fiat by exchanging it.

Crypto is much useful and not useless. There are lots of selected digital stores anywhere in the globe that accepted it directly if you will just try to research more. The links and lists given by others here, is definitely a big help to you and to anybody. Its not the only thing alone that you could see and prove the use of crypto currencies. If you think that cryptocurrency is useless, try to make it much beneficial in your own way. Do it yourself, don't give up on cryptocurrency just because it has only a limited features that you can use to it. However that time, they haven’t adopted crypto yet (but maybe they do now because of the name itself). There’s also a shop in Cebu City where they only accept cryptocurrencies and not cash, but I’m not sure where exactly it is.

Actually, even in the capital there are limited companies which are accepting Bitcoin as a method of payment. That is because Bitcoin is not that popular to the majority of people. I've asked 10 of my friends about it, but only two of them are familiar with this technology and most of them only heard it but are not certain of its usage. This is not applicable to everyone but knowing that support is lacking still, it will be hard in this country to make use of it to buy things directly. There are partnerships wherein companies are using third parties such as coins app, dragonpay and the likes but fees are high and you'll more likely convert it to fiat in order to purchase goods online. There are some small businesses who does but there's only a few and most of it are not that popular.

Well, I think OP is trying to prove that crypto is useless but everytime he throw something there's always a right answer but he's not into them. It's true that crypto might be different from FIAT but there are still shops who do offer Bitcoin as payment and you can't say there's none. And just because you can't find one it doesn't mean that crypto is useless already.

And I don't understand why people cannot sell their bitcoins for fiat and then buy anything they want. I mean yes Bitcoins will take a long time to be accepted on local shops but when you can easily sell your bitcoins and get cash or money in your bank then why do people even find payment method via Bitcoins baffles me.

I would also feel great to directly pay with bitcoins but there are a lot of problems like transaction fees and confirmation time so it is better to sell bitcoins and load your bank and then make purchases. Also if you don't want money in your bank for some reason then you can always buy a virtual card with BTC and you can reload it anytime you want through bitcoins, there are many providers out there if you want.

Actually there is still a huge gap in terms of acceptance of bitcoins in payments but I believe this problem will be solved very soon as Paypal has announced that they will now support crypoto currencies on their platform which I think means now users can pay through crypto via Paypal and if someone doesn't find shops/websites that accepts Paypal then really I don't know what they accept.

I also think more merchants will accept bitcoins once the Paypal move works out smoothly because being accepted and recognized by paypal simply gives confidence to other merchants on directly accepting bitcoins. By the way I do all my recharges, amazon shopping and food orders via bitcoins through Bitrefill coupons.

Most in the consensus does not have that much shop that have a bitcoin integrated in their transaction system. Volatility might be the number one reason that businesses do not integrate them in the first place, imagine your coffee shop updating their price from time to time so they can get a profit and as a customer, I do not want to see that my favorite food to order just keeps on changing its prices, the system to update precisely is very expensive especially for small businesses.

Paypal hasn't made its direct involvement with bitcoin related business, its service is supported by one of the exchange platform paxos. Actually there is a POSSIBILITY for changes to occur. PayPal is a huge network being used accross huge services and in partner with many companies. It may develop trust for the merchants. The transactions indeed involve convertion into fiat but not all people are aware of that. Some businesses have tendencies to just accept crypto as payment because a huge network does, not knowing how transactions are really doing. It is quite of a "fraud" in this case, but once more people are exposed to this technology, it may be a catalyst for other businesses to also do so. Since at this moment PayPal and crypto payments are just limited to some states, it would be hard to conclude. Once more countries see the advantages of using crypto, the possibility could be in reality.
