I won't look down on any sort of startup be it astro, dreamxi or other services like food delivery etc. Service sector has it cons and are low hanging fruit when you already have big market. Your next gen entrepreneurs will emerge from the very same ecosystem, who will take innovation to the next level.

If only India could go to such an extend of starting to develop almost everything in India then we would be competing with developed nations soon.
That is quiet possible but the government is not very supportive in this case. All they care is to tax us in every possible way while exempting the upper class.

Tough cookie because every top dog from IITs etc wants to move on or want to waste extra years in civil services (big problem), can't blame them much here because majority of em did the hard yards and belongs to aspirational india so they deserve it, if they move up but at the same time, india is losing talent big time.

MBBS graduates are trying to get uniform countrywide bond system instead of leaving the power to the states to determine how much long bonds they have to serve. It is a futile effort for now and I dont think such systems will ever come into action in any other stream.

Uniform service period won't be a bad idea but first these folks need to build up concesus among them. Some serve couple of years and some serve for like a decade. Having said that, if centre jumps in the state gov will cry about federalism.

Back in 2014-15, On his first address to nation Modi talked about toilets etc and now talking about semiconductor and jet engines. One could agree or disagree on many things but you have to give modi a credit for his efforts. Progress is slow but trajectory surely is on uptrend.

On jet engines, R&d budget is key and bit of lease on babudam. Would be better if it comes under PMO directly similar to ISRO. If not then, I am sceptical.

Need to create bi partisan support on national security and defence manufacturing/ procurement + from babus as well. That's a big challenge we must overcome.

Most likely it is going to be approved by GST council.

Removal of GST 12% and 28% slabs okayed by key panel; up to council now for decision.

We don't know the specifics yet, but it is going to make price of most products cheaper especially electronics and Vehicles that is really a relief on the middle class budget. So anyone planning to buy a car or bike here wait for a couple of months and you can get it 10% cheaper.

And rightly so, festive season is around the corner so it will help the consumption, it should've been reformed earlier but der aaye durust aaye. This is our aapda mein avsar moment and this tariff crisis shouldn't go waste, it's a big opportunity for more reform.

If people are going to benefit then state government can't do politics with it because they need to face the election sooner or later but people will support the idea unanimously and it can be a master stroke by Modi and could get for a complete sweep even in the southern states where they yet to find a place.

^ But it will never happen, in India most of the revenue generated by government is through indirect taxes and as per the reports number of people filed ITR in the last year is around 9 crore and 80% of them comes under tax exeption limit so it's more or less 1% of people are paying their income taxes in our country even though most of them will fall under the category of more than 2.5 lakhs per year these people are mandated to report IT even though they pay zero taxes.

If we want to see the less taxes on fuel and others, then the government should force the people to pay their taxes.

If we actually want cleanliness and hygiene in public then one need to start with a house. How many of us actually follow or aware of waste segregation at home? I bet not even 0.1% keep wet/dry waste seperate aur sab kuch mix karte hai ek hi dabbe mein. You want cities to be clean, start from home and as far as municipality is concerned, it should be strictly pvt owned and managed by them. There is a reason you don't see gandagi in metros.

It's not like current municipalities administration don't know how to keep things in order it's just they are not interested in it. Go to lutyens delhi and see how things are organized there, you won't even spot a stray animals.

I would never want to see the British rule in India or a continuation of the same. Yes dirt is there everywhere in this world, but we have to make sure our choices are proper and we are doing our part in keeping it clean. How others will make things cleaner is their choice but if someone starts going good others will try to become like them too.

These things we have to follow in daily lives and then the environment will become better, no point getting angry on others, spend your energy on more fruitful work.
