that's the main problem with goverment isn't it , their first line of action is to ban instead of regulation ..did the same with fantasy app ..they missing out on 20-25 billion $ easily in revenue if they made clear regulation instead of fear mongering ..just take tax & let adults do what thet want to with thier own money.

It's beyond economics most of the time, it's the political game and the leaders want to show them as white, never committed any sin so people will chose them over the other.

If government made fair tax rate on crypto gains then people will be start using regulated exchanges so decreasing the tax rate might increase the revenue for the government assuming everyone will start paying their taxes instead of keeping it black money.

I agree that impractical taxations always lead to black economy. When governments tighten the gold import rules, we can see lots of news on smuggled gold and when tax on cigarettes goes up, China cigarettes hit the market more. Overall, higher taxes and regulations are always ending up in revenue losses to the government. But, it seems like no government (current and all previous) minds these, they want to collect as much as taxes from the one who voluntarily comes forward and leaving off the others.

Taxation is very very important for running a government smoothly and similarly paying taxes should not be a pain to people.

Direct tax collection in our country is very less that is why the government relied mostly on the indirect taxes paid by everyone but it just adds burden to everyone instead of the one who can afford, so the first thing is we need to encourage the people to pay their income taxes and it happens when the tax is very less and also create awareness about the tax payers benefits and government should have some kind of benefit for people who paid taxes when it comes to job opportunities or subsidies?

Indian government somehow wants to take a step backward instead of leading the world.
By implying such huge taxations and discouraging Indians from trading in crypto they are not only getting reduced taxes but also pushing India 10 years backwards.
If only our government had intellectual people driving tech innovations forward then India could really become a leading tech country in the world.
But that dream is only gonna stay a dream for the upcoming years.

That's a good point. Totally forgot about Coinbase starting its operations in India.
As far as I know they are still in progress with their roadmap and probably in 2026 we can see them supporting INR transactions as well.
After the recent decline in bitcoin price, I just hope we see a positive surge in bitcoin price in 2026.

IMO, we entered the bear market, usually the Q4 will be the peak of bull season when it comes to bitcoin and it will extend for altcoins for a while in the new year but with bitcoin I don't have high hopes on the price surge to reach new ATH. It will be better if the price manages to reach 100K and goes the sideways then it will still be good for the investors to keep holding them.

Now they are buying stake in Indian exchanges or did CoinDCX sell some of its stake to CB and it got posed in the reverse manner? Even then I think this is the starting for Coinbase to set up its own exchange eventually in India.

Maybe the plan from them is to fully takeover COINDCX then merge it with Coinbase in next 12-24 months.

The kind of regulations we have for businesses, it's always best to have some local partners and it becomes more important when it's crypto because even gov doesn't know what they want.

Pretty much how I see it too. We are growing, no doubt about that. If you look at the railways alone, the improvement is obvious… it is much better than before. People that keep crying nothing is changing are just not really paying close look, because the growth is slow.

Development take time though, is not like it is a day thing or overnight. Every country that is ahead today went through the same slow process.

Best example of Indigenous Defense tech is Indian Navy , almost all our ships are built in india ..the rate at which we are constructing is good too.

INS Arihant and INS Arighaat are fully operational.
INS Aridhaman (S4) is in advanced sea trials.set for commissioning in 2026.
Now, S4* has just sailed out for its trials.
We Already started construction 2 of the S5 class Submarines.

There are currently 6 Frigates Under Construction/Launched , 10 Corvettes launched & 3 Under Construction , in total around 50-60 ships under construction in various shipyard.

India Army & Indian Airforce is diffrent matter though especially Indian Airforce ...Construction of Tejas is going with slow place coz USA is delaying the engine & yet as a country we are not willing to fund a Fighter Jet Engine programme on priority basis.Less said about Chandigarh lobby is less  

One thing that i always criricised Modi Goverment for purchasing only 36 Rafaels , we should have bought around 120-130 in one go ..all would've been delivered by now ..atleast won't be short on squardons , we need 42 fighter squadrons for a two-front war..maybe 50 for advantage, but our current strength is significantly lower at around 30-31.

Thank god for our Missiles Programme that it doesn't affect us that much but it will be when eventully Dragon will make it's move.

i feel that in ballistic we underreport and hide our capabilities because folks don't want to make west nervous. Yeh diwali ke patake toh hai nahi so I hope aisa koi scene na hi bane ki inhe use karna pade, deterrent ke liye we have more than enough.

Brohmos Collab with Russia did wonder for us in terms of tech absorption and I am seriously hoping it goes same for Barak-8 (MR-SAM) with Israel.

Astra is too good but don't think we can fit this in rafael lol ( we ordered metores due to this), guess we tried our best but french said no to spoon feeding. su-30 should do the job for now and tejas also because we have source code.

We just updated pinaka from 60-70 km to 120 km so it's progressing well. Although They ordered just 3 regiment (bulk mein order nahi karte yeh kuch bhi, unless it's foreign maal) and shouldve been more in short term, need to cover eastern border, it's cheap and equally effective in comparison to Western alternative so possible export product. Hopefully , we pitch this to Armenia, Vietnam, phillipeen, indonesia and some african partners, 2-3$ billion ki deal aaram se ho Jani hai majak-majak mein .

It's all good and fun but if I am being honest then indigenous missile system tabhi mature hoga jab hum export karne lage aur export karne layak tab honge jab our own forces use them extensively, which they don't. One fine example is Tata WhAP 8x8, yeh export bhi ho rahe hai dusri army ko but our own army won't give bulk orders.

I have been shown continuously in social media feeds about this news in the memes. I remember the price of cigarette will cost around 72 rupees, but I am not sure it's for a single piece or the price will increase for a whole pack. Currently it is cost around 18 rupees if I am not wrong.

Taxing tobacco isn't going to stop the people from using it but encourage the black market cigarettes such as from China and Indonesia, that is much cheaper so Indian government is making laws that will benefit the other coutnries.
