What’s this deal really about?

^^ it's about EU-India FTA . To be signed on Jan 27 and will exclude agriculture as it's a red line for indian Goverment ..It will be the largest bilateral trade deal ever... u have bigger regional trade agreements, but none at the bilateral level !!

Both the US and China neither have an FTA with each other, nor with any of the EU, Japan and India

Before this, it was the EU-Japan FTA, the largest bilateral trade agreement

As India surpassed Japan in economic size, this makes it the largest of its kind ,this deal will also give both India & EU lot of manuvering space economically since US has gone batshit crazy.

EU will also move forward on a security and defence partnership with India , they just announce this in same summit at Davos.

Still lots of key info missing ,we will only get full picture on JAN 27.

^^ think it's related to wealth, which could also mean quality of house etc. As marbles are usually pricey when comparing to stone.

Sarkari census aise hi hote hai, might look weird and stupid at times but point is to get enough data which is absolutely needed when your country have billion souls and diverse in every means, be it culturally or economically.

Did you guys hear about Pune Grand Tour. The city has been in a halt due to this event blocking most of the roads.
Potholes were fixed over night and roads were cleaned in no time. It was as if the government and workers were on steroids.

This kept me wondering, if they can do such high class work in such a short time then what is stopping them from developing the whole city?
Whats bothering them to maintain the city in the same way forever?
Why can't they do the same thing throughout the country ?

India will become an example for other countries if the government really decided to their prime duty.
Unfortunately though, this won't happen as we all know as these people just want to fill their pockets first.

^^ bycycle racing tour right? Saw few clips and looked fun. Bina gadde wali road toh ek baar ke liye maan lun but spectators ne itna civic sense kaise dikha diya? I mean ek bhi complaint nahi, i understand organiser were competent but still everything went smoothly without any issues.

Whenever a politican visit a tier 3 city or small viallage they will turn the place upside down in just a couple of days and even bring roads, water connection, electricty and everything which is something people demanded for like in the last 20 or 30 years that proves the whole scenario.

Yes exactly,  even I heard about the JM road case and it is still as good as it is. The system is corrupt to the core is the only reason why we don't have good roads in India.
The contractors use cheap quality materials on purpose so that they can get to rework on the same road few years down the line thus making more money.
Everyone knows the issue and knows how to fix it but they won't do it just because it will stop money flowing to them.
What a corrupt nation India is. There's no authority that can act against it because the authorities are themselves indirectly involved.

it's true but i'm seeing more of these post regularly in Western Handles on X mainly X , not going full tinfoil hat wearing conspircy theorist but it could only mean one thing that three letter agency has eyes on india's household gold & it's a signigicant amount of gold that they have no control over ..so keep an eye on , some psyops coming towards Indian household or maybe some policy push in future via babus who are on their payroll.

The system is corrupted and even if there are people who wanted to make it right they can't. Let's say the contractor wants to give the best quality road and they will goad the right price for it but the politicians and government officials will ask for a commission to get things done means 30-40% of the project value will just goes into the pocket so only the remaining funds can be used to complete the project that is why we get the cheap roads. And how to solve this is by bringing a complete change in the entire system but it's not realistic dream.
