probably sofia found water on the moon.. next up sending equipment up to mine the water and the convert it to fuel to then mine for other precious minerals either on the moon or nearby asteroids.
elons 'boring' machine will be first launched to the moon
and turn the moon into the gas station for space mining

Do you think it has anything to do with this? This is old news, of course. If they can get the phones up there, they can show us all kinds of fake news that is truly coming from the moon. Do it through Finland, so we will be sympathetic with a small country trying to make some moves.
NASA is launching a 4G phone network on the moonIt's one small step for phones, one giant leap for phonekind. NASA and Nokia are planning the first cellular network on the moon. Finnish phone company Nokia has announced it's working with the US space administration to build a 4G LTE network for moonwalkers by late 2022. As well as voice communication and data transmission, the mobile network could power navigation, stream biometric data so controllers can keep an eye on each astronaut's health and fitness, and direct remote-control robots and sensors on the lunar surface. It's a part of NASA's Artemis program, intended to establish a sustainable base on the lunar surface by 2028. Several companies have been contracted by NASA in deals adding up to more than $370 million.

Yes the participants shows that this announcement could be somehow related to water, the whole idea of artemis is to set up 'fuel stations' in space to then make asteroid/mars mission practical. and to do that they need to get fuel from the moon to these space refulers at a cheaper/more effecient way than launching from earth. otherwise they would just launch from earth and not bother with artemis projects. so ofcourse its about water and the moon mining NASA Publishes Artemis Plan to Land First Woman, Next Man on Moon in 2024. ... We're going back to the Moon for scientific discovery, economic benefits, and inspiration for a new a generation of explorers. As we build up a sustainable presence, we're also building momentum toward those first human steps on the Red Planet.”21 Sep 2020 you didnt really think SpaceX CSO/CEO elon was only using boring drills for californian road tunnels. nah that was a commercialised sandbox test for drills to then be used in space

Maybe they will finally reveal the big secret that moon is made of cheese. The moon does not exist. NASA will finally admit that they made the whole thing up. There is NO evidence for the existence of the so-called “moon”. All videos and photographs showing a “moon” have been faked on Hollywood sets. Government-employed “astronomers” have written books and “scientific” papers purporting to prove the existence of the “moon”, as part of a psy-op to make you believe in the so-called “Earth”. Prove me wrong. </politics-and-society>

Lastly in my personal opinion people should be free to follow any theory they believe in, till it doesn’t cause harm to the society and in this case it’s not causing harm to anyone so feel free to believe that moon doesn’t exist. This time NASA's Mars mission is part of a much bigger plan that is knowing and understanding how habitable Mars can become the Habitat of Mars. Trying to understand, whether people can go there because the red planet is far away from the moon the moon can go in three days it takes 6/7 months to go to Mars. The path is not very easy it is also trying to understand whether people have everything they need to stay on Mars for a few days.To bring humans back to Earth rockets have to be launched from the Red Planet.

Prove me wrong. </politics-and-society>Hollywood has been spending countless $trillions of dollars. First they needed to build a time machine. Then they needed to go back in time to falsify all the documents that show that the moon existed back then... for thousands of years. But they couldn't do this until they built a "space transition machine" (a rocket)... because everything moves with time, so back in time here, isn't where the earth would have been back then. The point isn't really the moon. The point is where they got all that money! The Federal Reserve Bank hired aliens to printed it.

NASA bother with Moon because one way travel to Mars last 7 months. To Moon it last only a day. 210 to 1 is a huge difference. It is very easy to get to Moon, but very hard to get to Mars. NASA cant afford failures with their Mars explorations, that is why they want to do a good training on easy to reach Moon. Second reason is that China is going to Moon.

Unless I completely misunderstood him (which I doubt), @nullius is making fun of the typical nonsense that you can read in this section. Nooooo! The so-called “Earth” does not exist; and the “Moon” was fabricated as a lie feeding a lie. What is your motive for lying about this, Rikafip? What are you, a CIA agent shilling for this psy-op!? KEEP UP THE STANDARDS OF THE POLITICS & SOCIETY FORUM!!!More seriously, I do hypothesize that much of the psychological motive for the “moon landing hoax” nonsense is discomfit over the history of Wernher von Braun, et al. People believe what they want to believe. “Seek, and thou shalt find” is an ill epistemology, and very popular.I suppose it goes to show that either way, any which way, people tend to discover what they want to find, not what is actually there.
On topic: I think that the pre-announcement is interesting, but perforce premature to discuss. It caught my interest. I will look forward to Monday! Literally ‘Moon Day’, < O.E. mōnandæġ. Unless there are any amateur philologists in the NASA press office, it is probably a coincidence; nonetheless, it is a poetic coincidence!

It would be interesting to find out what is that exciting new discovery which Nasa will share on 26th of October. I don't think it will be anything which can be a breaking news for the mankind but still any new discovery will be worth listening. Someday, i am sure people will making houses there and living on the moon

I'm guessing they found some sort of bacteria and are ready to claim "life on the moon" as a thing. Likely it will be attributed to being from a water spout on earth and not very exciting, but you never know.

So if you watched, or will watch the link above ^, the new discovery talks about that the water doesn't concentrate at one spot of the lunar, instead, they seem to justified that it is spread throughout the surface of the lunar. Also, they proved that the hydrogen detected in their previous discoveries is a water molecule and not just any other hydrogen-containing molecule. This is done by identifying the uniqueness of the chemical finger-print of the water molecule.

so to explain some of the science every molecule emits a certain frequency of photons(certain colour of light) and knowing the exact colour of water means they can measure and monitor it. they say they did not find any water in large blocks. definetly no underground lakes. no iceburgs, not even icecubes or puddles. so they are learning they cannot just tap into an underground aquifer, but instead have to mine it like mining gold dust spread out throughout the land. so this is not going to be a 'well' type of mining mission. but a 'gold digger' type of mining this then makes them able to plan what kind of mining operation to design for water capture on the moon so that stops any hope of just tapping into a well and just setting up shop in one location. but instead have to move around and tap into multiple locations like quarry mining their next hope is not so much a well that just sucks up the water. but instead hopes they can sort of 'frack' it out of the moons ground thus not having to shift as much dirt to get it the amount of it (if all could be captured)... is about a standard serving can of cocacola per cubic metre so a 3cubic metre (27x1cubic metre) will only gather 9 litres(if all can be captured) which would only be enough for 3 persons fluid use a day (2litre drink/ 1litre hygiene per person) so i hope this can get some people to grasp the scale of whats needed to do to gather any reasonable amount to use for fuel/colonisation of the moon

These findings refer only to the sunlit areas. Areas in deep shadow do not radiate anything. Areas underground do not radiate spectra. So the new findings do not contradict the possibilities of large bodies of ice in the deep dark areas at the poles. Sunlit areas are pretty much a constant -20F a couple of meters underground, so they certainly can support water. Except for sublimation, where ice turns directly to vapor. It's been believed that water vapor would quickly be stripped of one H from the solar wind, but these findings contradict that. The vital finding here is the absolute certainty that the OH is H20. Previously it was just known to be some OH.
