Transactions must be included in a block to be properly completed. When you send a transaction, it is broadcast to miners. Miners can then optionally include it in their next blocks. Miners will be more inclined to include your transaction if it has a higher transaction fee.

all the national geographic documentaries about wildlife, all the books we read as kids about lions and tigers and gorillas - we always thought there is a vast and rich and enormous mammal fauna covering the entire planet. truth is, the only thing covering the planet is us, on an exponential rate. mammal "wildlife" is a folklore, a fairy tale, a facade - an utopia from the past. welcome to the Anthropocene, get ready for a complete artificial Star Trek like environment. forests are no primeval forests but artificially planted timberland. nature is reduced to curated parks and golf course -like landscapes. we were part of nature when we gatherers and hunters. we have chosen to eat the fruit of knowledge and got kicked out of paradise. we've built our own nature. with back jack and hookers. this train has left the station. nature is gone. the only question left to answer is how much nature we need to survive as a species. how much diversity of mammals or insects is needed for humankind to survive? maybe more than is left presently, maybe less - we will find out in the coming centuries. this is not the usual "we are killing the planet, let's go back to gatherers and hunters to save nature" environmentalists stupidity (which unfortunately can serve as a nice source of future "eco-fascism" suppression of human rights) or the usual cultural pessimism tune of "we are going down". it is just a fact that we have to acknowledge - nature is gone, curated "nature" is the new reality. also not suggesting that we should not try to treat animals more ethically or that we shouldn't try to preserve nature where it still exists. all this is important but we cannot escape "our" nature - which is to create our own environment globally.

Thought I'd share this, made me optimistic, like a toke from the hopium bong: <snip> Receding volatility and little price action may be frustrating for BTC traders, but the hardcore HODLers keep calm and continue hodling. The long-term Bitcoin's fundamentals still imply that the cryptocurrency has strong bullish potential; the only question is when it will realize it. <snip> * psycodad sees a slight chance he will not be forced to flip burgers by 2025

Check this out = David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet It's on netflix and probably a few other places. He started by saying "we have to fix this, or else." something like that.

The MicroStrategy idea is slowly trickling down the Street. Slowly at start, then all of a sudden!

The MicroStrategy idea is slowly trickling down the Street. Slowly at start, then all of a sudden! This does not surprise me anymore (and I guess also others share the same feeling). Do you know what could probably amaze me? Perhaps Pope Francis switching all the Vatican reserve to Bitcoin. Yes, that could do it.

Long time no post, market has been boring. Finally it's looking interesting again - My gut tells me a breakout to the upside is the most likely, due to long-term (Daily/Weekly) bullish factors, as well as fear being relatively low, hash rate remaining high.
- My logic tells me to stay patient, wait for a confirmed breakout (above $10.95K or below $10.2K), as the continuation pattern suggests continued downside.
- Statistics tell me that volatility is at an all time low, so the breakout will be significant. Either to buy a breakout or set bids for a dip.
Here's an "educational" style to chart to look at the measured move of the symmetrical triangle. The targets are either $9K or $12K. Either way, the breakout this week will likely define the price structure (bullish or bearish) for the coming month and quarter (October-December). I'm always hoping for a break-down personally, to hedge short and then average into a nice dip. Going up already is also fine by me Disclaimer: Poster currently has 91% of wealth invested into crypto (75% of which is in Bitcoin). Assume a perma-bull bias.

I hate to correct Lopp, who certainly knows more Bitcoin than I do. But being a pedant, I must note that due to the way that keys are identified by Hash160, there are 2 96 (79,228,162,514,264,337,593,543,950,336) different private keys that are authorized to spend any funds sent to a P2PKH/P2WPKH address. Guessing any one of them would suffice to spend the money. It does not make a difference in practice, because you still have only a 2 160 chance of guessing any key that can spend for a specific address. 2 160 is still an astronomically huge number! Albeit somewhat less astronomically huge than 2 256 (the 256 represented in the “Bits” column). 2 256 is just such a mind-blowingly incomprehensible-to-humans big number that dividing it by 2 96 results in... a smaller mind-blowingly big number. Therefore, yes, your money is safe.

Supposing that Truth is a woman—I will take mythopoetic licence, and name her the ‘ruler of men’ (Ἀνδρoμέδα). Thus in lieu of a thousand words, this is the picture of exposing Truth to the Internet masses: Sorry, honey. * My dick is bigger than a twitlib’s—where “dick” has a subtextual meaning of “supreme mastery of hermeneutics”, and its size is an allegory for my powers of mythological interpretation.

We are still early Jack Dorsey has always been a flag-bearer of bitcoin. So it would still be early to consider that buying bitcoin as reserve is becoming a corporate trend. Morever, he said that purchasing bitcoin was in-line with the company's purpose. Are we going to see Square - Crypto Wallet soon?
