Thanks for pointing this out. I'll be watching for a nosedive after someone solves the current block.

The only hazard I see is scam artists promising but not delivering + Too much pressure on regulators too early.. Ok its a gamble at this moment in time but I guess its like getting children, never the right time but you have to take a chance eventually. Lets see what kind of innovations and trials will come off this.

I think it's the scam artists promising but not delivering that worries most people. If a dev has half the total coins to be mined and just sells them rather than distributing them it ruins things for any other coin that tries the same method of distribution. Hopefully everyone will get their Aurora coins.

The worst part is, any success or perceived success will only escalate the clones

Just let them! Its inevitable in this unregulated environment. All we can do is educate and trust on the good judgement of investors. After all it is their decision to take the risk associated with a possible scam coin. Only they have to know about the risk and I see no moral dilemma.

Where are the pictures of all the happy people getting their money?
Post the videos!
I'm thinking of how Ed McMahon used to give away huge checks here in the U.S. People were so happy.

Auroracoin does have a lot of weight on the hands of one guy. I find him as a man of his word; so far he didnt everything he said he will, but I wont put there my life savings edit : Also remember that the coin was 100usd$ for a single AUR and Balduro didnt dump it and went to the Caribbean and you can see at https://www.facebook.com/auroracoin.org a lot of Icelandic traffic Really? You trust a guy on the internet that's completely anonymous? You have no idea what his real name is, where he lives, what his age is and not even what he fucking looks like; but you trust him? The coin might have been work $100USD, but there wasn't enough liquidity to sell the premine. The marketcap was incredibly misleading as it counted the pre-mined coins which were not in circulation (if you can't understand this, this means there's wasn't enough money in AUR to sell huge amounts of). This is why the airdrop is such a perfect laundering mechanism and it seem to be working perfectly, just as planned.

There most likely won't be any. The airdrop is just a laundering mechanism for the dev to sell the pre-mine at a controlled pace without crashing the value in an instance and make out like the biggest bandit in cryptocurrency history.

I'd rather like to know if at the end of this year, can you walk into a restaurant in Iceland and pay with AUR or not.
