I guess this will be the biggest lose(at the moment) on political betting.  I remember reading on an article that the gambler was confident and going all-in on betting on trump after consulting a trump camp insider. I wonder how he feels right now or does the gambler blame anyone for this loss. I'll be looking forward on 2024 there already rumors saying that trump is considering presidency again.

That was a wrong move if they will only rely on information coming from Trump's camp?

What would they expect? of course people working on the Trump camp would say Trump will win, even now that Biden was already a clear winner, haven't read a statement yet that Trump already conceded.

Having fun for $5 million bet? I think it's not done that way, well, he could afford to lose that amount and he is a big time gambler, that's it, he risk that huge amount because he believe that his prediction is correct according to his analysis.

Lots of speculation, but $5 million is a huge money for most of us bettors, so we can't afford that, the reason why our attention is on this bettor or this bet which is the biggest bet in political betting as per OP.

I would assume so aswell, to be able to bet $5 Million on one single bet, you shouuld definitely have a very good income. But even if money doesn't really matter so much. Why bet all that money on one single bet? For a president that is not even going to be in your country? If you would like in USA I would maybe understand it, because it could be a publicity act in trying to promote your political views. But living in UK and bet on so large on the US president, seems unreal to me.
That's the thing I see to that person. It is a weird thing saying just for fun cause that is big enough.
He is one of Trump's supporters and loyal to him, and he can't take such a thing and can afford to lose. Kinda thing that only a few people will risk that certain amount, even we just say $1million. But would like to know how he feels after Trump losses the competition and losing his $5million as well and accept the result.

Well this bet is crazy, no doubt in that. I don't like to bet on politics, that game is the most rigged from all other games. I generally don't have a nice opinion about politicians, and this Trump guy and his behaviour are crazy, he is just a comedian with his appearance and talk, I I don't l know who really expected him to win again? Even his first win was a total surprise.
Goodbye to 5 million, I hope this guy will have more luck with his crazy big bets.

He lost the money, but there is no doubt that the gambling sites were right in offering better odds to Donald Trump. Betfair was offering odds of 39% to Trump and 61% to Biden on the day of election. Polling sites such as Fivethirtyeight were offering only around 10% for Trump. In the end, the elections were closer than they were predicted by the opinion polls (similar to what happened in 2016).

I don't understand how this is entertaining at all. Placing a very huge bet for a presidential election is never really fun. It is politics, dirty and full of cheap behind-the-scene moves. It may be fun for a small amount as it is clearly for the sake of betting. But if it involves millions in US dollar, that is certainly not just about enjoying gambling. That is about being stubborn on a single candidate because of strong political ideas and opinions.

I agree.

I bet he's mad right now not because he just lost his money but because Trump lost in the presidential election. Obviously, people hates dumb people, especially if he's done nothing but jokes in his country, so this made me wonder why there was someone who bet that big for Trumph's victory (Maybe they were hoping for Donald to win by cheating???) who knows.

That $5M bet would be a great help if it has been donated in some charities instead of betting it on a person who's not even worth the support, in my opinion.

I will look for the result of this election, that is a really huge amount of bet, I wonder how he got that confident to bet $5million for this election, I am hoping that there is no source from anyone about the winner of the election. I can't imagine myself spending a huge amount of money on betting, even though I will have a huge amount of money in the future, I won't take $5million to risk.
Maybe if he will win on that bet, I will follow his betting side.
wow that's really huge bet, right now I was planning to place a bet maybe I could follow this bettors bet it looks like he is confident to place such amount on Trump. hopefully i do the right decision.
That is a good move mate, if you don't have any idea who to bet then you may do copying the bet of a popular person or following a person who bet a huge amount of money.

Well... It's official Biden one, looks like I also lose money by following this user. Well that's fine to me since I only bet a small amount compared to his $5M bet on Trump.

Perhaps, if you know this, then you have a big advantage to win whenever you bet. We all know that politics is dirty, most of the time, candidates are winning because of their influence and popularity. Trump, as we know, is a business tycoon, he has a huge fund intended for the campaign to make sure that he will have a huge vote. We might not know if he uses an illegal way of campaigns, but being exposed to this will enable us to have an edge to win in gambling. Just make sure that it is still gambling, we can still expect the unexpected to happen. The recent election result shows Biden as the winner. That means that election is still a good way to gamble as there's no 100% assurance of winning a bet.

You lost a small amount like you say but I'm sure there are many gamblers who followed this guy and his enormous bet thinking they will win. That is brave and crazy at the same time and according to results that are coming those who bet on Trump lost. It would be very interesting to see on how large bet in general are we talking about and much money is lost in bets on Trump.

There's no information yet as Trump still considering legal action after this, He still not conceding taking all possible resort to contest this election result.

Not easy for the outgoing president that he's losing his opportunities to serve the country again, but it's clearly being voted by the people and after the counting Biden defeated him.

Moving back to this gambler, it's really bad to take information from one side alone as there's always
the other side results and it happened to him if that's true that he relied with Trump's camp alone.

The results are officially out and Biden is the winner. I pity for the person who just went crazy by betting the 5M on trump and after the news confirmation about it he would be really feeling sad about it. Though he would be very rich so he can bet 5M just on betting but surely it would hurt him for some time atleast.
Are you sure he went crazy with that bet? Maybe it was a well planned bet, and since there's no assurance about the result, we call it a losing bet, but who knows this person is still a winner despite of the lose, you know in gambling, we win some and we lose some, what matters is to be profitable in the end.
This was not planned at all, I guess, the gambler is really rich and tried to bet this just for fun and all as he sees the accumulated bet that leans towards Biden. I also disagree that he may be a winner, cause he definitely loses at this one, and non-other bets regarding this person had been said. But in overall, yeah, the person will not go crazy for this kind, as an assumption that he is very rich, and just having this for fun and games.
This bet will definitely hurt the bettor no matter how others justified him of be a rich individual, some said he's a former Banker but that doesn't give him the impetus to squandered a huge sum of money on election which can easily be manipulated to favor the cabals. Okay, he(the bettor) just lost $5M to this bet, and maybe his family members don't relate or even not be part of any political party in the residing country or even home country, IMO, this's arrant foolishness and not FUN or ENTERTAINMENT.

Placing a bet on any election is different from getting involved in it. None of us like politics or the politicians. But even I place my bets occasionally on elections. It is as exciting as betting on sports matches. And this time, there is no doubt that the American presidential elections were really close. Trump would have won, if he had a little bit of luck. The winning margins in most of the crucial swing states were below 1%.

Losing in gambling will be at every people, not caring if he is a banker or another big government position. Once that person loses his money, he just loses it and he will not have a big chance to recover the losses. But maybe many people who are playing gambling will not understand that because once they can get fun gambling, they can forget about everything and stay at the gambling games for a long time.

Yes they are different but somehow maybe it will be beneficial for him, also making a bet in this kind of election is entertaining for me since they are in close fight and I am also surprised that biden won in that election, wishing that it could be good in other country as well, and I wish he will be nicer than Trump. I am also surprised to the vp , first woman as bp right? wow.

I admit people do lose their bets during games, but the question is: how much do they actually lose compare to this gambler living in England?. I repeat; this is not fun nor entertainment we do refer to on this platform becasue the sum is higher than just make fun from. A whooping $5M just disappeared from an addict gambler living in England, i deeply regret his actions.

The betting figures are fantastic and he may well be on the campaign fund support team for Donald Trump, a bet of 5M which is quite a big deal considering the current odds Donald Trump is a few percent behind Joe Bidden even though there has been no official announcement from the United States electoral authorities. If there is an option for a temporary cashout, it's better to just cashout because Donald Trump's chances of winning are so far that I'm even optimistic that Joe Bidden will announce his victory in public officially. Perhaps before the presidential election, many favored Donald Trump to return to lead the United States in the next five years, given the record that the United States president has always been led by two terms like Barack Obama before him.

Taking into account that Trump doesn't seem to be accepting the results and that he is going to take the case to court, has the banker already lost the bet? will he have to wait until the new (or former) president arrives (or stays) to the White House in January in order to know if he lost or won so many millions of dollars?

And if the bet is considered lost, in the hypothetical case Trump gets away with it, what implications would have?

I don't know whether in the terms of the bet this extent was included, but if not, for so much money, I suppose that he will institute legal proceedings against the bets company. Yes, it sounds a bit like some crazy idea, but Trump's doesn't sound much lucid with his neither.

There's no information yet as Trump still considering legal action after this, He still not conceding taking all possible resort to contest this election result.

Not easy for the outgoing president that he's losing his opportunities to serve the country again, but it's clearly being voted by the people and after the counting Biden defeated him.

but what does that mean? not that I am against or supports him. I am just curious. does Trump still have a chance of winning? or it is just prolonging his stay as a president? American politics sure is complicated.
