Well, the topic is still open because that $5 million is still active, most big sites now have not graded the election betting yet due to Trump's protest, so this gambler does not lose his $5 million yet, but he is just waiting for the time until everything is declared formally then bets will be settled.

Every gambling site is not operate under the same team which make there decision not to be the same but I personally dont see any reason why they have to withhold the bet winner fund won't do any good cause it may lead to some the site losing players because Biden has already won the election while Trump is looking for some excuse to make him the winner cause he has won none of the lawsuits and if Obama did the same to him he won't have been in the office early after his first presidential election.

The decision to pay out early or late has several pros and cons... if they pay out early, gamblers will be happy with the prompt action and they will continue placing bets there.... but if they sit on the payouts..those gamblers might get angry and boycott the site and even leave the site to gamble somewhere else.

Many of them bet against Biden becasue of the power of the incumbent which Trump has back then in white-House, but this wasn't what they bargained for. I think that's the best explanation for this bet. He might be one of the rich men in the country and betting that high amount doesn't really make him sweat when he lost the game. The votes or figures are already presented, but there's no official announcement yet as to who wins the election but according to the record, Biden was way ahead and there's a slim chance Trump could overturned the result.

And yeah, it seems we can't do anything about it, besides it's not their fault for having a failed elections, so I think all of the bets won't be reclaim/refunded.

There's no failure of election yet since it was not declared, it's only the official announcement that they are waiting but I believe it's a clean election, Trump's ego are just too much that he can't accept his loss easily.
