Suicide isnt really a good option to avoid your problems and the stress you do currently have.Some people think that this is the only solution and theres no other way but to suicide.
We might be on that situation where everything doesnt seem to be solved out but we know that each problem do have its own solution and since you had done something wrong then
you should really be prepared or aware on what are the possible consequences that would experienced if situations comes worst and we know that gambling does have 2 results
neither you would win or would lose on that certain bet.If you do won with that loaned amount then that will be putting up some smile in your face yet it did save up your ass
but if not then you will really be messing out your life.

this is a very sad news  despite it's not a first time that we heard about similar tragedy.
probably in this case also pandemic event has a role.

Generally speaking, I don't know what is the border between betting for pleasure and a betting addiction.
for sure playing more from a budget or borrowing money for playing is a clue for a worsening...

I agree that betting on borrowed money is a bad thing and should be avoided. If it won't get us into trouble, and can have bad effects.
What happened to the Indian boy who finally decided to commit suicide after losing money by betting in IPL, is a bad effect that occurs

No government will allow their kids to bet at any platform. Though some teenager engage themselves with betting. They take it as a way of making money and become addicted. So kids are violating the laws.

it's interesting because usually Indian culture believes in reeincarnation, so suicide wouldn't solve any problem, would just accumulate karma for solving on next life.

And the Irony is the official sponsor of IPL 2020 is dream 11 who stole the sponsorship for half of the price from previous year due to China border issues with them for a while now.Well government doesn't really care about the people as long as they are making money from those apps so expecting justice from the government is simply wasting time.

This is so sad. How old was that kid (didn't go through the article)? Aren't there any age restriction or something? Or did he place bets illegally? I did hear that a lot of illegal gambling takes place around in South Asia. The kid should have stopped in the first place when he lost everything. Borrowing more money from friends to get back what he lost was the biggest mistake in his life. I wonder the guy who lent him all those money knew if he was about to gamble it all. I kinda have a feeling that the story would eventually be the same even after he managed to win the bets he placed. He would become addicted and eventually lose everything along with his life.

This is really, really sad to be alive. There are many ways out of such a situation, but this is the last one you want. Probably no one in his area has seen him do this or see this coming. He probably emptied in a daze / dream and when it was money he had a moment of weakness and couldn't resist. Very sad. For the family now too. They will feel this pain.
I once read a similar story about a family who wanted to sue a gambling company after losing a loved one, but they can't do much about it in my view. They were totally unaware.

Even people bet with the amount they can't afford to lose, it's an irresponsible act to just go suicide about it.

Aside from that boy losing money on betting, there are other parts of the story that we don't know that not mentioned on the news. There are lots of people who already loss big but still standing and able to recover. What we saw on the news is only the thing that triggered the suicide decision but for sure there are lots of problems on that boy's mind for a long and now it reached the conclusion.

This is what will happen if someone is addicted to gambling but he is not exactly ready for it. For some people in gambling, they only focus on the profits that they may get, they only expect for winning. But they do not pay attention to losses that they will also face. You are right! Its just too shallow if debt is the only reason why would someone do commit suicide.We dont know the whole story that he might have some other problems
like family problems and other emotionally attached type of problems which would really result into that kind of solution which it isnt really right.If its just totally

This is the reason why young people shouldn't let to gamble, once they lose the money that was big enough for them, they will not be able to take it. We can not do anything for such an immature decision from a boy who committed suicide. He is betting on IPL and obviously, he has a source of money which he can expend and he already did. If we think of it as a business then he did lose. By the way, feeling sorry for that guy but the decision was wrong. This is not everything, he has many things in his life and now everything is worthless.

No sympathy here. Obviously you should gamble only with the amount which you could afford to lose. In this case, the boy spent all his savings hoping to make a quick buck or two and that didn't worked out. Actually this shows the ineffectiveness of the regulations. Gambling is actually banned in India. But this ban has actually pushed the gambling sector underground, away from the eyes of the authorities.

I felt bad for that boy. Honestly gambling should be just for entertainment and shouldn't be use in hopes to get a good profit for a living, I hope this should raise an awareness to all gamblers that don't gamble if you cannot afford to lose your money.

I do not think gambling is the sole reason that the kid committed suicide, this might have been the catalyst for that. A public advisory to everyone feeling depression or generally loneliness, seek your local psychiatrist or talk to someone you can trust, do not do activities that elicit negative emotions like gambling where a loss can trigger regret. Your future may look bleak but if you talk to the right person, perspective will change.
