It's depressing reading something like this, it should not happen in the first place if he has guidance from a mature gambler or his parents knows what he is doing, kids should not be allowed to gamble at a very tender age because they have no control on their emotion and they do not know how to address losing a lot of money in gambling, they thought that by chasing their losses they will eventually recover it, but it's hardly possible.

For parents to pay attention to what your children are doing, you should guide them and nourish them properly. 

He is already at the right age, he is not anymore under the parental guidance, it's just that there are really people who make huge mistakes like this. This kind of problem even resulted to banning of gambling in some countries, instead of educating their people about the risk of gambling, the government does not take time or take chances, but instead ban the gambling industry.

We have very bad history of cases like this because we have no proper system to control this all specially in developing countries gambling is ban but still many networks and systems working without any permission and license and addicted peoples losing money and lives because they reach on stage where they have no way to return when I was young I have few cases like this in our area as well its really need some stick ban and punishment those are doing without any permission.

I don't know if his family is spoiling that kind of attitude of his but we should not just waste our lives because we lose a bet, we shouldn't even borrow from other people just to do that. If you can't do it, don't force it. If you really wanted it, find a way but just remember how people are struggling to earn money why you will just burn it all out in gambling.

He is already 21 he is not a child anymore, but unfortunately he do not how to stop and do not want to admit he is losing that makes him decide to not quit and chase his losses, what a way to waste your life is not the losing it's the debt that he thinks he cannot pay anymore, I don't know if he has a friend or a confidant that he can tell his problems, but this guy is out of control and lose guidance.

people that do suicide faces a great depression and if we are on thier side we will know it , we will know that what they face is not easy and they think that the best solution for this is to end thier life . gambling has really nothing to do with the situation  but its possible that gambling makes this guys condition worst   . sometimes i feel depress too and ive also come to the point of thinking horrible things like that but thankfully im still here .im courageous enough to face my problems but im not corageous enough to end my life .

Both of you talking about the boy of second news. He committed suicide last month and the reason is same as this case. In that topic I have mentioned about the boy who committed suicide recently(November 3), he is 19 year old. So he isn't a child and not mature enough as well. But betting addiction is dangerous at this age.

I think there is no other reason behind this. The boy lost all of his money in betting. Even he borrowed money for betting and lost it too. His financial condition wasn't good and he was facing pressure to give back the borrowed money. As a result he took that step.

Of course, it makes me really really worried! Things like this makes me ponder that countries which make gambling illegal are doing the right thing after all. Things like this is really hard to control. The gambling industry cannot stop this. The government's gambling regulators cannot stop this also. All they can give are warnings and pieces of advice but they cannot see the individual actions of gamblers.

Why would take up some loan if you know that you cant pay it back by other means? if you do look for gambling to be the only solution then you are just simply like putting up a gun

Arguably he had an immature mind and emotions if this was the conclusion and process, its better to bet small and frequently then rest on big wins which can go wrong more easily then consideration over time and with the experience of previous betting.    Never stack into loses, definitely a common mistake and not the last time I'll read of similar unfortunately.

I believed it's not that he is really a gambling addict 100%. Since if he is a gambling addict, betting in IPL should already his main forte' to the point that even in a big loss, he should able to handle it.

Such incidents are really painful.  There will be winners and losers in the game. And for this reason, I have never heard of anyone committing suicide.  The issue here is different, because the boy did not commit suicide to lose the match.  The boy committed suicide to lose a lot of money by gambling.  Cricket gambling has been around for a long time. But before that it was limited to a few rich people.  But now it has spread everywhere in the villages, cities and ports.  And many people are getting lost in this cricket gamble.  So from now on we should think a little deeper about these issues.  And refrain from gambling in this cricket.

According to the source he's only 19 years old so there's nothing that would stop him from gambling. I guess the bet was done illegally or through online since gambling is very limited in India.

There are some counseling or reminders for some gambling sites online about addiction neither they do give out some websites that might able to help you out into your addiction.
There are guidelines and warnings about potential addiction but this cant really be controlled by the house itself because it all matters in ones decision on how he handle up himself
towards it.It is just some people cant control up their emotions which would really result into suicide and just like what others said where the boy must have some existing problem
aside on losing a bet from gambling because thinking of that committing suicide just because you had debt isnt a valid reason.

What's so much to a 19 year old boy losing in a bet? what the hell is happening to the world ?! I could have understand it if he sold his house, bet and lost but it was not. I'm sure it is not just about the gambling at all, I mean losing might be the missing link for him to trigger something he thought he wanted but I'm sure that was not just the reason why he did that, and he can't bare with it unfortunately.

I dont like it at all. The situation of the people who involves trading is the same. They do not afford to lose, especially with the money that does not belong to them. Why the heck people borrow money to gamble or to trade? This is a pity story and I feel sad about it. If his friends and family realized everything sooner, it would not turn into this way. The article doesn't share much information apart from a few names of his room mates. I wanted to know why he was gambling and if I am not mistaken gambling in not allowed in India so how was he even gambling? If he was making bets with his friends then there was no need to take this extreme step as he can always ask them to wait while he earns some money. Suicide doesn't help anyone to be honest, his family will suffer and even the people whom he owe will suffer for whom I don't feel bad though.

I wish there was an organization where people can be educated that life is priceless and if you are wasting it for money then you have a wrong mindset. Imagine how much a rich guy would pay to get his life back? $1 billion? Maybe even more!

I feel very bad when I see news like this. I think that this shows how dangerous betting with huge amount can be. Especially if you don't have much money, it is not logical to risk all of your money. Because when you lose, there is no way of recovering it unless you borrow money from somebody. Borrowing money from somebody to make bet is not a cool act too. I'm really sorry for this boy. I hope that other people who is betting like this take lessons from this incident and we won't see these kind of incidents happen again.

As i said many times before here - gambling can be very dangerous thing. Maybe it will sounds some cynically , bus such outcome it at least good enough in terms that this guy just killed himself. It could be much worse if he would take a knife and behead his friend or his grandma to take more money on this shit. (I know enough real stories about such cases)

Just don't loose your head in such things and do not play more than you can afford yourself to loose.
