Less people are using that forum for development discussion, and more are using it for completed project promotion and scams.

If moderating can't be increased, at least allow the trust system to do its job.

Yeah Project Dev AND Meta both should have trust visible for all users, Meta because its one of the more popular boards among the bunch, and its Meta(info about the forum, and trust is part of the forum). Project Dev could definitely use a revamp of sorts.

But yes, upvote from me which is completely useless, but upvote. theymos do your thing.

Project Development really should have trust visible. You are dealing with software and code and it is important to see who is posting it.

I am sorry to derail Vod's thread for a similar request. But can we please (for the love of God) have the trust visible in the Croatian marketplace as well?
Last year, a member from the French local asked to have trust enabled in their part of the forum. His wish was granted. I asked the same...nothing. Other members from our local opened threads in the last weeks/months...nothing.

Maybe a new thread in big letters with color and sparkling diamonds might do the trick. Tongue

I asked the similar question about Project Development board in October, and I didn't get the real reason why trust should not be seen there:
Project Development board change/move?

Someone suggested that moving Project Development to Marketplace board would be the best solution.
Just read the board description:
Organization of Bitcoin and related projects, bounty campaigns, advertising etc.

I always thought Project Development was a place to discuss project ideas or project that are still in development phase. It looks like most topics are there to promote working products and running services which is why I support your suggestion or at least removing the possibility to start self-moderated threads.

Just wondering if there is any valid reason why trust scores are hidden on some boards in first place!

Well apparently some users now prefers posting a thread with their final output than the developing one. Back then it was just bombarded with legitimate users that really are developing a project and requires the forum attention for suggestions and ideas, yet now some scammers are posting their shitty final projects there, which in most cases are newbies. Not justifying all newbies, but scammers really have the time to create an account to post both in Services and Project Dev.

I am IN for the OP's suggestion of making the trust overview visible in the thread. Yet I see no difference with it being implemented and without the trust being showed, as I take a look first on the rank and the 'idea' of the main thread if it was too cliche and scam alike.

Because idiots like Vod hand out negative trust full of lies with no evidence to try and feel relevant and this forum is so desperate for anything resembling a Bitcoin project that they don’t want to allow morons with authority complexes to chase everyone away who is willing to put their time and effort into furthering Bitcoin use cases.

I think trust visible in Meta isn't much worthy since no one is allowed to promote their scam site here. Most of the discussion here to improve the forum and red-tagged users would leave their opinions as well. But if other users directly see the red tag on their profile, then they would take it negatively. All the negative feedbacks aren't always a hundred percent accurate here. But yes, trust should visible on the Project Development board since many scammers have been trying to promote their scam site there.

These threads are in Project Development inappropriately. You should report these threads so they can be moved to the correct sub.

Threads involving a 'live' site should not be in project dev.

A huge reply on his thread that they were a probable scam. While the thread is self moderated, I guess it must be the user's/investor's initiative to take a look at the user's trust first. Though not all are fond of making checks as they "believe" by just fraudulent threads, I don't think the admin would consider making trust visible on the board at all, as there are really  less to none users whom have interested in investing on projects yet never double checks the integrity of the one who offers. If this issue never moves forward, I do suggest of locking the thread immediately.
