Deciding not to support the flag is one thing, but you're opposing support for it which only serves to give credibility to the scammer.

I've posted a note on the Flag page (words to the effect the Flag is not valid).

And besides, I don't see any issue with creating a flag that references a thread that you didn't create - there's no reason to believe Jollygood will lock the thread, and if he does the flag can be removed - we don't need another Betking scam thread and Jollygood creating another identical flag just seems redundant. 

I'm pretty sure theymos said when introducing Flags that a locked thread is one of the many reasons that makes a Flag invalid.  (but in saying that, I've just scrolled all 20+ pages and can't find where theymos said that...)

The type-1 flags on Quickseller, BSV, etc. aren't misuse of the system by either supporters or opponents.

True, but Flag 2809 is a type one flag while flag 2810 - type three was created just one second later.

Flag 2809 is redundant in more ways than one, hence my continued opposition to it.


I am also relying on this interpretation by theymos of their system:

Is a non-victim creating an otherwise factual flag also considered to be abusing the system?

Is someone who supports a factual flag that was created by a non-victim also considered to be abusing the system?

And is someone who opposes a valid flag also considered to be abusing the system?

That's all misuse of the system.

We either work within the guidelines as set out.  Or, we do our own thing, then join a gang when we don't like what others are doing in this place and dish out rough justice.

This is ridiculous.How can a deposit be considered as fraud?
You are giving them coins and they say "We can't verify the transaction,so this is fraud.We are going to keep your coins but your account is going to be banned."
I can't even realize the level of ridiculousness here.
It's funny how the Betking forum thread is dead,but this thread has many replies.
What is the Betking owner trying to achieve by making this relaunch?Betking already has lots of negative reviews and the reviews are visible.Do they think that they will get new customers?

Unfortunately, a lot of newbies don't read reviews. They often play on emotions. They fall for high-quality marketing that successfully converts emotions into initial deposits. Only the reaction of the regulators can help in such cases.

Most of them get faded away with some good bonus and deposit offers and and other redeemable coupons but in turn got scammed with fake casino and face withdrawal issues because they easily trust any casino without any proper investigation and reading reviews but it's the first thing you should do as newbie if you are not playing in any legit casinos of which the community is also not aware about.But we should always do some research because it's the safety of your funds only.

I agree entirely with you. I am surprised that anybody could or would oppose the flag, it does not make sense to me.

I echo your sentiments because why on earth would anybody oppose the flag instead of just opting to not support it especially from members that should know better keeping in mind all the evidence that has been presented to show the betking.io scam

In order to protect gullible investors from getting scammed this thread really should stay open because even though it would be impossible to save everybody just saving one person from becoming a victim would mean the thread has been successful.

I don't see any reason for you to oppose support for the flag.

The Flag wasn't created correctly.

As you yourself point out, the flag creator is not the one who created the thread.  Therefore it can be locked without intervention by the flag creator.  The OP of the thread you pointed me in the direction of has no flags listed, so no Flags supported.
