So we reach the final round and a lot of things are already not setled, with the yesterday tie between Ipswich and Southampton we are gonna have a lot go games to follow to know who is gonna be the team with direct promotion and who is gonna be the final teams in the playoff.

I still remember i support Wrexham at the start of the season, and i was not mistaken about them, lets see if they can make history.

Just saw this, I'm still catching up. Mafia has a soft spot for the Championship so naturally this deserved to be in.
We will track the knockouts as well, and I think I'll even watch the Wrexham game live. Middlesbrough has a theoretical chance for direct promotion, might be a great one.

Re Wrexham, I'd hoped they spend another season in Championship but seeing the way the season's played out, you know what, I'd like them to gain promotion and set a record impossible to match.

I just realized I forgot to check this thread in almost a month, but of course thanks to BSFL I came in here to try to read up and well, nothing new, it is truly difficult to see who's gonna win the playoff. Everything seems to say Wrexham, I have a feeling they won't lose, but the question is if they can win. but since they are the only ones with their own destiny in their hands, I feel it has to be the fantasy story continuation.

The 4 teams in the Championship playoff spots are good enough to play in the final. They want to play in the PL. Coventry are the strongest they became champions. I believe Wrexham is the weak team in the playoffs but they can finish 6th and win promotion to the PL.

I suppose so, they always say the league table tells the whole truth, even though I remember Southampton was losing repeatedly at the start of the season, they have been NOT losing repeatedly at the end of the season.

Coventry the strongest, not so sure. They have the best results and probably the classiest manager.

With Coventry it happens to me that if you ask me i feel like they are one of the most weaks champions in recent seasons i dont know why but i dont feel them as strong, they win the games and no more, and i have to say i really like them just because i love Lampard as a player so know i like to see him having a good time as a coach, but i dont see a strong team there, i know someone can say to me, "well but they have a ton of points and win the championship" and that is right is just a feeling what i have.

It must have dented their confidence when Coventry lost the playoff last year. Frank did not throw the towel in. Coventry and Frank rolled up their sleeves to win the Championship in his second season. They are going to play in the PL.

Wrexham is not guaranteed to feature in the playoff. That makes them vulnerable and weak. They have 1 in 4 chance of appearing in the PL next year if they stand firm in the playoff spots next week.

Race for top positions in championship is far from finished, we have maximum 36 points in last round, and than play-off matches.

I looked at the value of all clubs in Championship and Coventry is second in market value, just bellow Ipswich, and they deserved to get promoted in Premier League.
Market value is not everything as we saw with Leicester City example, they got relegated easy to lower league.

Championship teams have frothed at the mouth about this, but apparently the fans don't mind, seems it beats going home sad with traffic to limp dinners.  I'm cooking lunch tomorrow for about 15 people and then "playing" games with children during the United match... I agree there, best teams, best results, but you said strongest, which is what I and @darbit questioned. And we can both agree that the table doesn't lie, and champions are there because they were on top the most consistently in a whole season.

However, strongest team as @SensitiveEyes said I can't agree. Just looking at the squad, I feel like teams like Ipswich and Derby already look stronger. They just didn't have the best results.

When Leicester City won the Premier League this was exactly the same case. They had a set of strikers who just kept giving them goals and Vardy was a hero who won them like 10+ games by himself with 1-0. But was he the strongest striker and did they have the strongest squad? Not in a million years when you have Chelsea plus Manchester City who had double the squad with much more talent.

Finally a good and important round for me. Was really nervous before this round started but thankfully i played it smart and was able to secure a good lead before the playoffs. 7.5 points more then the second player and with only 15 points left just need to play it out smart now.

Portsmouth match was the desider for me in this round that gaved me a huge lead now

Was a really interesting round, just saw the highlights. I'd say shame about Wrexham but to be honest, I don't think they'd be able to qualify anyway.
Millwall would be a better draw than Southampton/Middlesbrough though - I think one of these 2 makes it through.

I was also thinking i was gonna get the yellow cap but he was just incredible with how many points he got,the thing that im happy this season is that i beated you easily haha. That was the main goal and the part that i might win it all makes things even sweeter.

With Max 15 points left i think its just to play smart i already have a 7.5 lead so just need i think at least 3 more points to finish this because i doubt that he can get all correct scores plus that he plays different then me.

In a way its more fair to have 2 legs, and then meet for one more time with another team in last 2 standing. Then you expect that the more quality team eventually gets to the promotion. Different from 1-off knockout games.

Is it possible to ask Rainbet to add a market for winner of promotion from playoff? Or if its there, can someone show me where to find it?

I kinda miss the way they made it in Sportsbet, you could see the 'normal' markets for everything in the game, and then you can see 'outright' markets and specials markets to find out all the stuff related.

Curious to see what the odds is for Middlesborough to promote. Southampton should be a big favorite so I doubt its good money.

Did not realize that we had enough fans here but I guess it would make sense from past EPL participation. I can imagine I would still follow Spurs as much as possible if they ever got relegated.

Watford are crazy, firing coaches all the time do they not think this affects their game?

There are 24 teams in the Championship by comparison the PL has 20. It takes guts to win promotion to the PL by finishing in the first or second spot. Every team in England wants to play there but the competition to reach the English top flights is frantic. It is an arduous dream which only three teams will achieve every year. Spurs are out of the relegation zone. They would bounce back at the first time if they ever went down because they are a rich club.

The only thing i can say is, finally Wrexham missed the promotions playoffs spots but i still believe like my call was not so incorrect they were super close to it a lot of time and they were so close to make it happen, lets see what happens in the next season, is not gonna to be easy since Championship is not a linear tournament and despite what reinforcements you but you dont know when you are gonna finish.

About the playoffs, now i want to see Milwall in Premier League.
