The punishment is insane - so much out of proportion. They already appealed but I do not expect it will be changed now.
This is almost like expelling the club from the league - and filming a training is now a bigger offense than financial malversations.

If I was a Middlesbrough chairman, I'd reject the playoff spot. However, the club is saying it is 'deserved'. Today's football is a cesspool.

although the odds favor middlesbrough, i think both teams have a very similar chance of winning the final. the two teams that made it to the final in the playoffs are actually the last two teams in the league to qualify for the playoffs. although southampton and millwall finished the league in 3rd and 4th place, they failed to reach the final, so the third team to be promoted to the premier league will be the one that finished 5th or 6th in the championship. if hull city manages to do this, they will be the last team to secure promotion to the premier league.

Always thought Jakirević is a good coach - not elite, but a bit undervalued in Croatia.
Happy to see him have such a good season with not that great of a team - but they will need a huge overhaul to have any chance of surviving the PL.

Most of all happy that Middlesbrough failed to reach promotion. These things should be deserved on the pitch.

Two more teams got promoted to Premier League with Hull City, that is Coventry and Ipswich.

as i said, even though the odds had middlesbrough as the favorite, i thought both teams had a good chance of winning the final. i didn’t expect the match to end 0-0 in normal time, but with that goal in extra time, hull city is now a premier league team. they’re truly a lucky team, because they finished 6th in the championship by a very narrow margin, barely made it into the playoffs, and managed to pull off a miracle by securing promotion to the premier league. they’ll be a team i’ll be following next season.

Millwall and Southampton were favourites to win promotion to the PL because they finished 3rd and 4th. The first legs were draw games but second legs were won. The Tigers from Hull beat the Lions from Millwall to book a place in the final. The Saints from Southampton beat the Boro from Middlesbrough but were expelled because they spied on Boro at the training ground.

The Saints had their appeal rejected, Boro were in the final against Hull. Time to congratulate Hull for promotion to the PL after 9 years. The Saints could be in trouble because they are being investigated for spying on other teams during the Championship season. And their players could take action against the owner because the spy scandal cost them bonuses and pay rises if they were promoted to the PL.

I'm with you guys about Southampton. I don't have any feelings for any of these teams but strange how they decided to punish a team like that, yes it's cheating but it's not like cheating to actually score a goal or win a game. Imagine how many clubs didn't get caught for the same thiing.

Cheating on financials is worse, that actually improves win chances for whole season and future, and it doesn't even get points deduction. Was just talking in La Liga thread about this shit getting worse in football.

Nothing has been cut, I just made a mistake when calculating rewards from collected fees, but everything is transparent.
0.02 BTC was clearly stated as sponsored Rainbet amount from the first day, and rest was collected entry fees that was added later, and I am sure that was lowest entry fees ever.

You clearly dont get it! 500$ isnt a small amount of money to be cut down. If you said from start its 1000$ for first place i wouldnt say a thing now,this only makes me mad.
