Is the leveling (and steadying) of Bitcoin a sure sign that an alt season is about to come?

Does anyone think there's anything to worry about with regards to growth being too fast and another potential "bubble" situation?

The answer will be maybe, as we don't know if bitcoin stability now is a sign for the altcoin to increase or getting the bull run. But if that happens, I think we will see another rally from the altcoin, and every coin will have their time to increase. Maybe we will see many altcoins rising together and confuse to decide what price we will sell our altcoin.

We need to worry about if the bitcoin price is getting dump because if bitcoin is down, the altcoin can follow to get another downtrend. The bitcoin price now seems to increase, although not much, and maybe that is because we almost at the weekend, which usually, the price will adjust.

For many altcoins, I think 2020 was a bad year. Seeing Bitcoin's dominance in the market which reaches 64%, only a few altcoins have increased in price because investors prefer to invest in Bitcoin. But I think Bitcoin's dominance will decrease next year because new investors will come and altcoins have a chance to go up in price

I don't see any sign of pump in this recent bullish thread, bitcoin have been taking slow and steady step since 10,000$ and and there have been few corrections too, this isn't a sudden pump and dump, this is a strong bullish movement, it's time for positive recovery and with PayPal announcement I believe crypto adoption will get better

Altcoin season is still not coming, it's Defi season,
before Bitcoin price reaches All time high, Bitcoin dominance will always be high,
we have to make sure that the dominance goes down and the Bitcoin price is sideways.

Generally speaking altseason comes after year end rally or around december we'll have some progress. Currently bitcoin is taking up majority of the space in the crypto world and altcoins are slowly gaining but not as much. Next year will probably be much better.

There is no Altcoin season now, Altcoin season has come and gone with a lot of profit, but I think Dec 2020 Altcoin season will come again. Good coins always go with profit, no season. You can look at ETH to invest. Ethereum 2.0 Mainnet Launch that is expected to be on 1st December 2020. Ethereum network will now shift from proof of work to proof of stake now need to stake 32 Ethereum to be a miner in ethereum network. One person needs 32 Ethereum to Stake and a total of 52426 ETH stake. So ETH could be a price boom.

I believe the height of price to be achieved would have warranted the early preparation, $60k-100k add-up is huge. I don't agree if the 2020 alt season is coming soon, because this year only Bitcoin is moving aggressively. Whereas only the top 10
altcoins moved up following the increase in the price of Bitcoin, but even then only rose slightly. Based on my analysis, the alt season
will come in 2021, so if you want to buy altcoins, you can do it from now, before the price increases in 2021. But remember you should
only buy the top 10 altcoins, outside of the top 10 you should immediately sell the altcoins you have and buy Bitcoin.

I don't think it's seen as a sign of altcoins season, as seen altcoins season has caused altcoins to rise very quickly. But look at the present time, i still see that the market's trend is increasing slowly, there is always money entering this market every day, so this will be difficult to accept as a sign of altcoins season.

The altcoin season will come when everything is calm, and bitcoin traders are moving to altcoins,
currently there are still many Bitcoin holders, because they still believe that Fomo Bitcoin to reach all time high is still very high,
so altcoins will be not interesting, you must be patient more and more in this current situation.

2020 is absolutely a great year for bitcoin which has climbed up to $16000 recently. We are reaching higher and higher every week and it is a good sign for the crypto world. Despite its positive momentum, only a few altcoins show the positive movement. Personally, it is hard for all altcoins to go up because people are more aware of scam and shitty projects which do not give any benefit to us

Moreover, investors are smarter than they were in 2017. And many ignorant investors surrender investing their money in cryptocurrency and we do not need them who only create FUD and FOMO without contributing any useful thing.

Therefore, I guess some altcoins will go up, but not in 2020 because we only have 2 months left. It'd be better if everything happens in 2021. Right now I am working as hard as I can to earn more money to buy more Ethereum

You really meant what you said on your first paragraph?
How can you say 2020 was bad year for altcoins, perhaps you want their performance to be like that of 2017. Things has change, investors are looking for adoption and usecase than just ordinary shill projects with nothing to show for. Check year till date of top 100 coins and token on market cap, you will find out they have performed extremely okay with atleast a 100% ROI. That's pretty good compared to traditional instruments and assets. Check gold and Bitcoin, you wouldnt complain about altcoins.
On contrary to OP, the year has ended, I don't really see new Altcoin season but may be come 2021,we likely see bull run.

no one knows about the current situation. I feel that bitcoin is really pumping for now, and it's even closer to $ 20k, or a new ATH. it also triggers the development of altcoin prices. however, I don't think that the current altcoin price development is very good, or even this is not yet the altcoin season. however, we still need to see more developments. I think the increase is pretty good, but quite a lot of altcoins have dropped in price because of the very high price of bitcoin. I'm pretty sure the altcoin season will arrive, possibly later this year, or sometime next year.

I feel it. Right now, bitcoin is pumping towards 16K dollars. Only few buy order then it will touch the 16K dollars price. In terms of performance, I expect that bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrency will boom in this year. Bull run is expected at the end of the year or beginning of 2021. Alt season is not still covering the market. It needs few time before we can see a greenish day again.

However, Else and every altcoin can lead into exit scam except bitcoin. Decision is yours, if you pick standard coin since circumstance isn't as in the past.

I almost agree here but I have to say some alts can no longer scam even if they want to (like ETH or LTC or Monero) because they have become decentralized enough to succeed on their own, can also not be easily attacked 51% etc.

Of course, none of them are as solid as Bitcoin but if there is an altseason, it will be good for the coins I just mentioned.

For me it will be still the bitcoin season, there are only few altcoins that are making move while the price of the bitcoin is already near at its all time high. For me the alt season will happen in 2022 for sure because I know that time many investors are not afraid anymore to make investment because that time there will be no virus anymore. There will be no alt season in 2020. Yes some alts will increase in price in this 2 more months but that will not be an at season. Alt season will start in 2021 and peaked in 2022.

The year 2020 to the entire cryptocurrency market has been a mixture of good and bad market but the percentage of the market growth have been significant in a way but not too major due to the fact that the market have not increase greatly in terms of bitcoin price which is the view point and gateway to measure the growth in the market. And the altcoin market have not been really doing well in this year.

Anytime soon we will see an altseason, bitcoin is still heavily pumping, if this will continue to like close to its ATH, I think that's the time altcoins will also start running, but if bitcoin will fall back again, then altcoins will also struggle.

Altcoin season is 70% possible today due to bitcoin trying to break 16,000$ level, I believe that this is just the beginning and year 2021 can be exact as that of January 2018, have a target and don't be greedy because once bullrun season is over the market will bleed alot and we might have to wait few years again before seeing another better market ride

2020 is almost over and altcoins are experiencing pretty good development, especially in etherum which has reached $ 400 after falling to its lowest price since rising to last 2017, which is $ 80. this is a good thing, and next year it will likely continue to increase.

more precisely now it has reached a price of $ 460 and will soon reach $ 500, maybe when ethereum has passed $ 500 then all altcoins will also experience a significant increase
