There no enough time this year for altcoins, bitcoin could reach a new level of success by achieving a new ATH but altcoins will not just easily follow. Altcoins season is pretty much for most legit altcoins, they will rise with significant amount like before, and we need a FOMO for that.

To an extent we experienced a somewhat good altcoin season but I believe many people's expectations were not met, how? Before now when we hear about Altcoin season it is being seen as a season when altcoins pump, but nowadays what we experienced is an altcoin season that was limited to a certain number of altcoins and this certain number was mainly top altcoins. Hence, my humble opinion is, with the anticipation of altcoins growth extending to next year (if at all it's possible), let it be known that a lot has changed and no one is ready to invest in altcoins with no use case, top altcoins has taken the stage and it's likely to remain so.

You are right this season is strongest shown by bitcoin well altcoin are right following that moment, next year could it be if there a big correction in bitcoin. which might come on big days in Christmas and New Year so alt season can be happened real aswell which we will see together. maybe respond in reverse otherwise alt season will have to wait longer maybe yeah.

Since the beginning of this thread, I think the market has been very healthy. The more I think about it however, I'm not expecting any huge "seasonal" change. I do however expect a much slower steadier growth of projects with real use cases and promise to actually achieve something. I'm not looking in the micro, only the macro (time not cap). I hope that in this way we can avoid huge bubbles and drive on with the technological revolution.

I agree that Bitcoin's quite drastic increase in price this year could be a sign that an altseason is coming soon. What is clear is that
in 2020 there is no altseason yet, some altcoins have indeed moved up. But the price increase is not as high as when the altseason

Altcoins this year were surprised by the movement of bitcoin that was out of the ordinary so they could not prepare properly, but altcoins are now able to follow the rhythm of bitcoin again, even though it's a bit late. I may agree that maybe next year is all tokens will get the best portion, we are waiting for that to happen as predicted.
but not for emerging altcoins it doesn't seem like they can keep up with the beat and most new altcoins are scams.

It's short, even bitcoin is short, last time I remember the bitcoin season was just over 2 months and that time it reached a new ATH while altcoins follow in a short period of time but with a bigger increase compared to bitcoin, unfortunately the correction was almost 2 years and it really did affected the price of altcoins in general as most of the altcoins are even worthless already after it reach an ATH during the 2017 and 2018 altcoin season.

You cant tell that it would happen most of the time when bitcoin dominance is dipping doesnt mean that alts would really be definitely increase its price.
Lots of instances on where bitcoins price and on alts didnt really had some significant correlation where it means that bitcoin price goes down doesnt mean
alt price is on rise, most of the time it do go in both ways or something in between like in moving sideways this is why its really hard to make out some
analysis when you do depend on trend shifts between both markets.So this wont really be a precise indication.

I think what we can all agree on is that whether or not it is predictable and/or correlates with bitcoin, it will make for a very interesting time if/when they do start moving. If Bitcoin is able to reach a new all time high in early 2021,
then I still believe the altcoin season will be in 2021, but if not,
maybe the altcoin season will still be delayed again, just hold on to the altcoins you have.
