2020 is not an altcoin season, but DeFi season, yup, many DeFi tokens have increased to 5x or even 10x,
like YFI which has experienced a tremendous increase, and made the mini altcoin season come,
but everything is still not perfect if the altcoin season hasn't arrived.

The growth has taken place good with altcoins following the growth of bitcoin. The growth isn't high as that of bitcoin, but there is rise in the market of altcoins. Probably we can experience a better and bigger growth during 2021 as more special occasions are scheduled for top altcoins of the market.
The market is all about the adoption and real-time usage, and with altcoins this isn't followed. Because, most of the volume is through trading. Maybe the rise in the real-time usage will help with the stabilized growth of altcoins.

Is the leveling (and steadying) of Bitcoin a sure sign that an alt season is about to come?
Does anyone think there's anything to worry about with regards to growth being too fast and another potential "bubble" situation?
No this is not bubble like 2017. Maybe bitcoin price is little bit higher but the situation is ok for bitcoin. As you see that if goes down fast,it recovering speed also fast. But this season is not alt season. Though altcoins price also growing but the growth is not too fast. I think btc price should be at this price for 2020. |

Let's focus at the moment, altcoins are already pumping but not the kind of pump we are expecting. If we look at 2017 or 2018, altcoins pumped more than 100% but now we are not seeing that yet, and this is good for the market as it will not result to a sudden dump, what I'm afraid of is seeing bitcoin going to roof as if it will fall due to correction, it could be a huge fall. |

the increase in bitcoin prices will certainly greatly affect the price of altcoins and if the dominance of bitcoin in the market is not too big of course this could be the beginning of an altcoin session, but if the market continues to be dominated by bitcoin, of course this could be a nightmare for altcoins this season, but even so at least now we can enjoy the positive trends that occur in the market, especially bitcoin which continues to soar in price.

Not most but only few of the altcoins are increasing. It is because it is not yet their time and not yet altcoin season. Yes, there is a pattern after every halving. But overall, the price is rising not because of the halving but because of the money printing of the central banks and the loss of confidence in fiat currencies. Many altcoins performed much better than Bitcoin in 2020, so that you cannot necessarily establish a connection between the Bitcoin increase and Altcoins. |

Its bitcoin time, altcoins are moving up slowly yet surely.
I think after this bitcoin pump, altcoins will follow. GRT is a good coin to invest right now. But it is also a risk coin for noob traders since it might goes down anytime.

It is not a good idea to HODL altcoins for the next alt season, the alt season can delay up to 5 years. Instead of investing in altcoins, selling the alts, and buying more BTC will boost the p/l. Smart traders analyze the markets and they go for the best possible choice rather than complaining about the missed trains/trends. Buying the high-rank altcoins and investing in the top cryptocurrencies can look like smart trading ideas but the real world is not as same as you think. Being smart and applying what you think are two different things.

true, because altcoins are shocked by the movements that occur very quickly by bitcoin in the past few months until recently. Altcoins do not expect that bitcoin is capable of moving fast and increasing sharply, while altcoins cannot keep up with these movements. Bitcoin in a day is capable of just moving up or down, and it's hard to predict. The bitcoin ATH has changed several times and none of the altcoins have reached it. Altcoins will reach their latest ATH after next year if it is predicted that bitcoin will increase rapidly. |

Don't hold your breath for altcoins. There's a lot o FUD going on coming from big social media influencers saying that Bitcoin dominance will go to 80% and alts will go to 0 when SEC sues other projects the same way they did to XRP.
I think this FUD is what is holding altcoins back and making people buy only BTC. But it won't last forever that's for sure!
