Its impossible because every new project believe on etherium. Etherium provided smartchain which no other network provided such type of contract. Eth provided strong secuirty to all coins tokens thats why every new token release choose etherium blockchain for their token.

It is still the leading smart contract platform in the industry and it will continue to be so for the next 5 years but they will encounter a lot of competition from other platform, we don't know what the future holds for the industry maybe there will be a new smart contract revolution but for now it's still going to be Ethereum.

Well said. It is impossible to use Ethereum Network for low amounts. If you are working as Day Trader in crypto Market and have to use Ethereum Network for transactions, the Gas fee will eat up your all profit. Ethereum 2.0 has been launched but it didn't help much  to reduce Gas fee or improve scalability of its Network. In simple words if cost of doing Business goes high such businesses don't survive.

You are absolutely right it may break its All Time high record of $1400 which reached in Mid January, 2018 and it might reach $2000 or beyond during the current Rally in crypto Market.  For sure Ethereum is not going to die in a week or month but in the long run because its issues of scalability and Transaction speed are not being resolved despite launching of  Ethereum 2.0. Gas fees are Huge now and un bearable for Traders and Investors.

I am a long term supporter  of Ethereum and  know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.

Just month after you put this question , Ethereum had Reached 1k again , and that's even lower because today the price is closely getting 1,200$ and soon will break the ATH at 14 hundred dollar last 2018 january also.

It seems like there have been many projects in the past that are said to replace ethereum but what has happened until now, ethereum itself continues to get stronger and I don't see people leaving ethereum because if that happens, at least right now ethereum probably won't get a significant boost. Ethereum gas is real problem but most chances as they are doing some good work this will also solved in near future and about other projects those are woking around here is ok but still we have no solid project who can give big challenge to Ethereum because his team is really doing some good work for his success I am also feeling this is not going any where just staying here and will rule altscoin world.

Agree that Ethereum has got already strong position and it is a great doubt that Ethereum may die. It developed and is developing all the time. And as for Polkadot it is a good project, because it stimulates new projects to develop via platform Polkastart, because tokens of new projects are created mostly on ERC20. That is why Polkadot cannot make Ethereum to be dead, but just on the contrary.
