Many people thought other altcoin like polkadot,  bsc etc will replace ethereum when the fee on ethereum was really expensive.  Interestingly people were still deploying smart contract, trading and staking  during this time.  I think lots of people value and prefer decentralised network to centralised network!

looks like trading fee still be main concern why they migrate to new platform. i see several project over low network transaction , and some of tem could not fullfiled community hope to get best platform with low gas fee and big ecosystem. decentralized now still be trend and there are alot project occur to overcome this problem.

I don't see a big reason that Ethereum to die, it is just FUDs. Ethereum is the best altcoin, which means number 1 altcoin. Or number 2 top coin after Bitcoin. How can there is an issue if Etheruem is going to die. By the way, this thread was created in the last year, OP may have a problem with his ETH asset. But now I think he already got big profits from his ETH. So, OP won't be spreading FUDs anymore.

I think Ethereum is too big to fail now, even though there are some problems there is nothing that can't be fixed. Unless we see major exploit in the contract there is no need to talk about dying. Maybe in the future there will be better smart contract platforms but that won't cause competitors to die. The crypto currency ecosystem is still in early phase and it will grow over time. There is a place for Ethereum and all of its competitors.

I am a long term supporter  of Ethereum and  know that it is the most trusted network to create smart contracts but the kind of Huge fees for withdrawal and swapping of tokens, we have to nowadays due to slow network or congestion , is going to make it unpopular coin in coming months and other networks like, Binance, EOS, Polka Dot may take its place . The issue with Ethereum is that its developers are trying to scale running Blockchain which is like repairing a car while driving.

I dont ever think that ethereum will going to die knowing that many big institutions, billionaires and even well-known personalities such as Cuban, Mayweather are now accumulating good amount of ETH. Also, there are plenty of development and progress.

just need to be patient when bad things happen again, I still hope that ETH will be able to surpass new ATH again by the end of this year. these few weeks it still hasn't crossed $3K but it's good enough because it's still stable and doesn't go down much

I don't think that ETH is going to die. It might be in a permanent battle of supremacy with the other blockchains like Binance, EOS, Cardano etc but it might still have the edge and the advantage. I just don't like the high fees right now. For me that is my greatest concern with Ethereum. If the fees will not go down asap, then I am afraid that it will be replaced by the other coins. We just have to see how it looks like and be strong and continue to support our investments.

On 19 Nov, 2020 when this post was made ETH price was 470$ according to CMC. Today its 2800$ and already touched ATH of 4300$. Fee has come down to reasonable level and speed is also good enough. I agree that during bull run its fee was sky high and I have wait for long to transfer my erc20 tokens, but now situation is not bad.

i don't think it's possible, ethereum has been tested to last for years and even continues to grow to this day, ethereum is the king of altcoins and deserves to be called the most popular coin in the market

Well yea, Now ETH has a reason to shine in the countries where it's banned, Mostly banned for mining in countries such as China.
Now chinese people, I mean rich Chinese people can invest in eth mining through stakes without worrying about the government seizing their Mining Rig if they get caught mining ETH or any other currency, That risk is gone and more safe opportunities came.

Impossible ethereum die after see how strong ethereum price when down under $100 last two years keep raise to higher price until close above $3000, I see many good speculation about ethereum price maybe one or two year later close and look little different with bitcoin price, maybe ethereum have chance break above $10,000 one or two years later.

Indeed! Staking will bring more investors they don't need to buy high ends rigs to mine this coin, it's easy now to earned if you do have enough funds to invest with this coin,

With staking capabilities those people from china who also into this market, they don't need to worry anymore, as long as they have the access online investing with ETH thru staking will give them breathing.

It won't die easily as per general speaking, it will continue to progress and as long as there are people who are willing to invest

It won't happen while it's the 2nd biggest cryptocurrency of all and the developers are actively improving it.
There's no way for it to die, time might come that a coin like BNB will replace it but it won't be dead that quickly.

How ever bad fud make by many countries I believe ethereum keep strong and never die any more, maybe you ever get ethereum under $100 when China banned bitcoin as legal currency last three years, but ethereum keep growing up until above $3000, how come now ethereum have raise higher price can be die, during bitcoin keep potential and growing up never any reason to said ethereum die.
