Great to see that they are back but that's not a good approach at all. Privacy seeking user now have to contact with the admin to get their fund back. And there are other people too who have lost their fund while they aren't available here.

@RapTarX, when saying "that is not a good approach at all", do you mean to say the money should not be returned to the owner? If you are referring to the requirement of sending us a LoG, we do not store logs of the transactions going through our platform. This directly means we have no other way to determine where the funds should be transferred to.

When referring to "other people", I am sure you mean the 2 other transactions which were caught in the incident. They can send us PGP encrypted message to an email, as everyone encountering any issues should. No need for contacting us via the forum.

I am well aware not having the incident would be much better, but it is too late to revert it now. MyCryptoMixer was created with multiple fail safes in mind, but the main goal was never to compromise on privacy. If the outage happens, it can only recover up to 24 hours by design. This is why our users are protected by PGP signed letter. In case of a failure, they can always hold the service accountable, just like artsidim done.

More safeguards have been put in place to prevent any mishaps in the future.

Flag support has been withdrawn and opposed. I didnt comment here yesterday after supporting the flag because I was expecting a positive response from the mixer and so was watching the thread.

Good thing is that they have promised to put in more safeguards, which I hope will prevent such incidents from happening in future.

I confirm artsidim received his funds, and with that, this case is solved. This took 5 days.

Reasons for the delay
I had to be away from PC since last weekend. This is a one man operation to keep the highest privacy possible. ~snip~
As for the transaction, it was not processed properly. ~snip~

Solution for the scam accusation

This is for me the most important aspect of new crypto projects. Shit happens all the time and project's reaction to those situations tells me much about the project itself.

I am glad this has been handled in satisfactory way but 5 days is a little bit on the long side to wait if your money is on the line. But since this is small scale operation I guess it falls whell inside some imaginary limits. Withdrew my flag and opposed it.

It’s really nice to see a positive resolution in situations like this. Unfortunately, we've seen various forms of exit scam strategies in the past, and I'm glad this wasn't one of those.
I believe that MyCryptoMixer will do everything in its power to prevent such situations from occurring again, and I hope that they will not lose the confidence of users in their service.

If I can notice just one thing, it would be much more helpful for MyCryptoMixer to respond to situations like this as soon as possible. Nowadays, with multiple instant notification options, I think it's quite realistic to expect a customer service response in less than 24 hours in critical situations. I realize that MyCryptoMixer is a relatively small provider, but people get anxious very quickly when their money is at stake.   Grin

Already opposed the flag, Great to witness a new born trusted crypto mixer. I didn't support a flag tomorrow since Mycryptomixer has an ongoing signature campaign with a huge amount in escrow and the owner/support still didn't reply in the issue so it means that Mycryptomixer is experiencing some problem since they have huge amount in escrow that equal or close to the amount in the line here. I didn't want to act without getting other side reason for delays.

If it is an actual scam, an Active Flag means users (including "guests") see a big red warning above the topic. But it only needs 3 DT-supporters for that.
The negative feedbacks and Flag Supporters are almost gone, most of the remaining supporters haven't been online yet. If there's anything left in a few days, I'll PM them.

For sure, good stuff LoyceV! Bringing legitimacy to these cases is always something we should strive for when possible. Also a big thank you to MyCryptoMixer for making the effort to resolve it and elaborate on the issue a bit further.

As for supporting flags/giving neg trust "early" - keep in mind that you'd rather be safe than sorry. No harm in putting a caution out and later on remove it once resolved (as in this case).

It's wise to wait before opposing, but it's the exact opposite for supporting a flag (the same thing applies to leaving negative feedback).

 Keep in mind that it's pretty easy to remove feedback and flags but it's impossible to undo any damage caused by "waiting", what happened with this user is a rare thing, 99% of these accusations end up badly, and thus DT members should IMO rush to warn other members as soon as a simple proof has been presented by the victim.
