For a price to drop that low, XRP needs to be declared as a scam or illegal.

0.01 usd still makes XRP a big marketcap, with a circulating supply of 45,404,028,640, that would make the marketcap to 454,040,286.4.. still in millions.

Although, the coin in the subject team have a lot of controversial stuff going on behind the scenes which I think it can be consider as scam since thats what they are doing all this while when they manipulate the market to profit themselves.
But, their market cap information provided by CMC is still correct.

I will not be that hopeful, this is not the kind of thing that gets resolved in a few weeks, this is going to take years most likely so even if things turn out well for XRP by the time this is over the market will have moved on without it and when we add that many people have lost a lot of money already and the bad reputation that will linger to XRP then it is difficult to see an scenario in which this coin makes a full recovery, and this is assuming the worst does not happen and this event does not fully destroy XRP.

I would be super worried about having too much tied up in this coin.

If you look at the demand for XRP, which has dropped dramatically this year, and the XRP rating has even dropped. This is all due to the legal
issues between XRP and the SEC which are still in process,  if this is not resolved then the $ 1 target this year is impossible to achieve.
So XRP is different from its other top altcoins which are in a bullish trend. Meanwhile, XRP has experienced different things this year.
For those who plan to invest in XRP, it's better not to do it now, because it is very risky that XRP will become shitcoins.  So let alone XRP going up
