There are many people who see Bitcoin or any cryptocurrency as untrustworthy comparing to fiat. It is true that cryptocurrencies are too volatile and have always risks. But they don't want to see that fiat has dangers too. For example, when the currency of your country devaluates at a high rate, your money becomes very unvaluable. You could see cryptos, gold etc. as good alternatives to use then.

It is really true that fiat is valuable but as you mentioned it risky as well cause if the growth of economy of the country get any fall down than the value of the currency will fall down .On the other hand crypto is more popular for its volatile behave .That's how we can earn much .The value of crypto are increasing day by day against fiat .

yes it is true that we should not be scared, that doesn't mean we dare to take big risks, but we have to be able to put scared in the right place and at the right time

This question belongs to those who afraid to use bitcoin as a means of payment, most users here are willing to pay or receive bitcoin as a medium of exchange, in fact we use it every day in this forum.
For people who know nothing about Bitcoin, they will not accept bitcoin obviously, it's easier for them to receive payment in fiat currency even if it takes longer and a higher fee.
Another thing probably because bitcoin is a volatile currency, the value may change within minutes and that is a loss for them if the price suddenly drops $100-$500 as we have seen on the market.

It is not the people that didn't like to use Bitcoin as the mode of transfer especially overseas, it is the government that somehow concerned about the businesses that already establish a mode of payment. Though we all know that it takes a lot of time to transfer using this traditional system. Perhaps, the Government also wants to improve the current system but still, they want to impose regulation for this new technology as if they just allow it to be used by their people, they couldn't get taxes. Though, there is some government who are technologically inclined that already impose some regulation not in the blockchain but from the business such as exchanges to operate by adhering to the rules they've set. This means that the hindrance will be from the lack of action of the Government which restricts people to transact freely on Bitcoin.

My country people are slowly getting moved towards the usage of android smartphones from the normal keypad phones. For this it has taken years and years. Same is with the technology. For the transaction needs people used to carry currencies, and now slowly started to use debit/credit cards. For them to use the digital medium of transaction takes time. This isn't just because of getting scared, it is quite common mentality of human minds.

No I am not scared. The Op pointed some points and one of those are highlighting internet users. Just imagine, your surroundings all people are not connected with internet. So it will not affect them whatever the price is. They don't care about cryptocurrency. But those who are involved in cryptocurrency already knows the huge change of Bitcoin and the value of price is now. So you must have the access of internet and then you can use it. Payment system will be improved and converted to support Bitcoin lately by some companies and will be accepted more shortly. First the government need to legalize it then payment system will be improved gradually.

It's true that most of the people that even they are aware of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still afraid of getting involved in it.  Radicals like the existing Bitcoin investors can be brave enough to alter what they have been used to and gamble themselves with the new things that they are not fully aware of. 

Well, it's like the fear of the unknown, or something similar. Only time could solve it, nothing we can do.

It's not necessary to blame those people right away because of their thinking like you've mentioned they are just afraid of the unknown and there is nothing we can do to embed everyone to use Bitcoin for their daily transactions.  Anyway, through time awareness and familiarization will definitely nurture and cultivate the society about the benefits of the entire crypto especially Bitcoin which we may consider as the absolute global adoption.

Because they don't know bitcoin, it is our job to educate many people to understand bitcoin especially for sending money purpose. How they will use it if they didn't know bitcoin correctly? It will be hard to be understood.

If they know already, at least they trust that bitcoin is real and have a value like money fiat then sooner or later there will be many people who will use it. Yeah at least to help them for sending money because most of the country now still ban bitcoin as a mean of payment system.

Yeah, I have felt it, I tried sending money to my brother in different country through western union. I do you know how long it takes? It needs four days for the money was recieved and also with high fee. It is not worth anymore especially if you know bitcoin. I think this need a process, we can't make it happen instantly, let many people annoye to the system right now until they find bitcoin.

Well, for most if they don't understand a certain thing/s they tend to hate it or have negative thoughts about it and if you put bitcoin into the table for the general public I do think only 15% or even lower than that would understand it.

I guess the only way to understand it better if there is a certain figure that the general public trusts and highlights the key points of Bitcoin or even the underlying technology behind it. Bitcoin is still in its early years we would see more to come. Bitcoin will never be created if no one has negative thought/s of dollars or these other tangible currencies, surely why we are here now owning some digital money. You still think there's no one having that thought?

Well, we could see we are still few but in the near future the tide will turn considering how woke we are in this generation. And, by the way, change is constant.

The analogy is quite sketchy or maybe it is just in my perspective. Fear is indeed a necessary feeling whenever an individual encounters risk or the idea that things could go unexpected. Development on the other hand is regulation I think and other improvements when it comes on every transaction. After a decade, Bitcoin still is under progress of development and it is not surprising to know that this technology is not widely accepted by people due to the impressions it have created for the 'new ones". Some people are still in doubt and we cannot really do anything about it, in an instant.

Think how long it took the average person to get on the internet. I myself didn't bother for several years. Throw in money and the total lack of understanding most people have about any of it and it's not surprising. Acceptance from Mr Average will be fed back to him from the top down with its stamp of approval, not us random maniacs.

If I knew very little right now about it I'm pretty sure my head would spin after a few minutes of research. I'd tell whoever wanted to pay me to sort their life out and gimme some boring normal money.

In the first 10 years Internet already achieved tremendous adoption, while Bitcoin in its first 10 years only managed to become a popular investment, which in itself isn't a bad thing, but compared to the history of the Internet, this is pretty weak. When was the last time we heard about a big company accepting Bitcoin for payments? And how many people actually use that option?

From a point of view of an average joe, Bitcoin isn't a revolution, they had access to digital payments long before Satoshi even started working on Bitcoin. And things like decentralization and privacy don't mean much in an age where people spend 90% of their time on 3-4 websites.

There are instances that Fiat is much more better than crypto thay is why most of us aren't really using crypto for our daily transactions.
But when it comes to international transfer I would agree that Bitcoin is way better than Fiat much faster and smaller fee .
But not everyone knows about it and not everyone knows how to convert it,
And you could also consider that they have thought about the volatility of the price.

Scared is maybe not the right term but ignorance on using Bitcoin. People usually don't want to try something new especially if it's involve money. Most of the people wants a safe transaction and they will keep using the things they use to be.

I started using bitcoin because of gambling online, Bitcoin is the most convenient currency to use that's why I did not hesitate to study further on it. But if a regular that just want to do money transfer only, I bet they will not put some effort on studying the use of it.

Yes this is the right term...many people want just to be safe and still using the classic methodes and dont want to try some new ways like bitcoin
I also start using bitcoin because of sport betting and i really find it far better than the fiat in many sectors

I think lack of knowledge about bitcoin is the main reason why these set of people you are talking about don't use bitcoin, because if they do know about bitcoin and its use cases they won't sit around for two to three days before receiving money from international transfers, and there are also some set of humans who refuse to use bitcoin cause they see it like a scam, they don't trust it at all, since it involves money they don't want to loose their money to a digital currency that they can't hold with their bare hands.

because real and international dollars are known to the world, what about bitcoin?  Bitcoin is not real and only in digital form, unknown to primitive people, but known to some young people.  to dispel and counter negative public assumptions is to fight every bad news with good news about bitcoin.

Most of the fears originate from the uncertainty linked to Crypto currencies ...for example :

1. Government policies & regulations : So most people are not familiar with the policies and laws applicable to Bitcoin (Crypto currencies) in their country. They are scared of their own government and breaking the law.

This is true because I have read articles where Governments and Central banks have always gone ahead to warn Citizens not to use Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies claiming that they are risk ventures that they have no control over. This definitely makes people who are so easy to manipulate keep away from Bitcoin.

The main stream media portray Bitcoin badly here in the uk. I think this causes too much panic .

If average people do not know about Bitcoin technology, it is very unlikely that they will not accept payments with Bitcoin.
While if you buy in ecommerce stores and the provider accepts that you pay for your purchases with Bitcoin, this is a profile of people who are more assiduous to accept payments with Bitcoin.
Although I believe that after the most recent advances in Bitcoin and crypto, more businesses will open in our regions that accept crypto in their businesses.

Few people use bitcoin as a means of payment in their daily lives. Especially if the government does not approve bitcoin for any kind of payment. 
With its high level of volatility, it makes people have to be extra careful in using it. So is investing. But it is another case for traders and investors.
They like a high level of volatility, as this will give a quick profit compared to investments in other fields. Crypto becomes an alternative option.
But it is not yet perfect to be an alternative option as a means of payment in general. Fiat still dominates.
