Is live betting better than betting in advance?

I generally prefer not to make a live bet, because I usually only watch the matches of my favorite teams and I want to enjoy the game, not constantly look at the bookmaker's website and wait for the moment when you can bet with a good odds.
If I'm betting on my favorite teams I know, I do so long before the match.

The point I pay attention to in live bets is to watch the match and get a goal bet. My personal opinion is always basketball betting is more fun than live football betting. These issues should always be viewed in terms of entertainment and should stay away from ambition.

But for some people, live betting on basketball is more difficult to predict than football. Basketball involves a lot of substitutions and there are some coaches who have a strategy by sacrificing 1-2 quarters so that their core players can get time to recover or intentionally rest their star players in the early quarter.

The strategies and the substitution patterns adopted by each coach make live betting on basketball difficult to predict. So to be able to get a good chance to win the bet, the bettors must have good analytical skills and can predict the strategies that will be carried out by the team s/he supports.

I've been experimenting with betting for some time, but I must admit that I consistently avoid live bets. It's very annoying to me that the odds are changing fast, and that while placing a bet you're likely to see the odds changing again right in front of you, and then you have to accept the new ones before you can proceed. I also prefer to bet in advance because it gives more time to think and make calm informed decisions, whereas live bets put additional stress to the process, and I believe it makes the choices more emotional rather than rational. Then again, it might become way more obvious who's going to win the match after it started because you've already seen how the teams are doing today.
I placed a small low-risk live bet on Sportsbet.io today to see through the process, but I don't think I'll change my habits:

I personally also believe that betting in advance is a piece of mind only if you are winning. In case your team is losing, you would never be in a clam state.
Live betting is more technical in nature but it can give you better results since you can change your decisions based upon the team performance in the current match.

I don't often bet live. I've done that in three matches so far and it's currently 1-1 (still waiting for the Valencia vs. Atletico Madrid to finish). If given only one choice, I would still prefer betting in advance as I tend to be influenced by the rapid changes in odds in live betting. That thrill could work for others but definitely not for me.

Some of it would depend on whether you bet on a single or multiple matches at the same, if you're using multi bets then I think you can also bet while it's in the middle of the game and I don't think that will have much affect on your result, but if you're usually betting on one single game then that completely different and I agree with you since that way it can be too risky to just stumble upon a game and instantly bet on that game based on the live odds, the only exception would be when you know the teams very well already and you done some analyzes on them before and based on that you can see enough possibility of winning that makes it worth betting at that moment.

Depending upon odds, or match timings does not suit me then do place the bets in advance under such cases. Also, at times when have an advance bets placed still bet in between matches just on other team then my initial bet was placed because chances of winning of other team has suddenly changed or likely they may win it. So multiple different bets in same matches are also being placed.

Yes, it depends on your preference for the particular match. There are games that are worth waiting for live betting and some are good to bet in advance. Sometimes the odds are good if you will bet in advance, because as the match is getting near, the odds change a lil bit. So if you feel that you can take advantage of the odds pre-betting, go for it. But if you want the excitement in live betting and you have the time, live betting is fun.

Besides, if the teams among which one is clearly stronger play, the coefficient during the match may only decrease. Therefore, to bet on such matches is worth only before the matches, although then the odds are also low.

Of course live betting is not as good as betting in advanced.  I'll admit up front that I am no professional gambler.  I often make my NFL bets that Sunday morning.  I am also well aware that this is not the right way to gamble normally.  Even though this is not technically "live" betting, the point remains the same.  Gambling on football right when the odds come out tend to product the best numbers/point spreads and rewards those who do their homework and get in there early.  Live betting removes all of that pre-game advantages.

Pre-match betting or betting in advance are only good for people who know the performance of both opponents in a match that they can easily figure out who has the edge on the game. On the other hand for people who prefer in game betting or live betting are less knowledgeable on the team's performance for they cannot presume who will win in the match.

I often do in a game betting because real-time it gives me how both teams perform and who among them stands out and better than the other. I also agree with what OP mentioned that with live betting the odds keep changing and it is somehow stressful but on my end, I still find in a game betting more entertaining because it makes me keen on every action on both opponents

I do not like live betting, it is always a bit more problematic for me, whenever I try I am either a bit too late, or too early to what I want to wager. The odds change constantly and instantly and from the moment I decide to gamble to the moment I wagered, there is a huuuge difference. In order to gamble live, you shouldn't be just watching a game and suddenly say "oh wait I should wager on this" in the middle of the game, you should have the game right there open on the sport book in order to gamble right away.

Hence with all of these in mind, I try to stay away from gambling as much as I can, it is not something I would care neither, I mean I do not gamble live but I keep gambling in advance so why should I care about live betting and why I can't do it etc etc.

I haven't done any live betting but hearing it from your experience, it does sound annoying, but I guess there are more chances(or maybe higher) of winning when doing live bets than betting in advance that is why there are people prefer it than betting in advance. and yeah, I agree that betting in advance gives me or a bettor more time to think and make calm and rational decisions than live betting.

Sometimes it happens that a weak team at the beginning of a football match manages to score a goal and the coefficient can immediately be in its favor. However, this does not mean that this team will necessarily win.
If a person does not understand teams, then I would recommend that they do not make any bets at all, because this will be a bet not based on knowledge, but a bet based only on luck.

As you said live betting have some adrenaline rush, especially if you watch the game and you think some player will score in next minutes, or some team will wake up and turn the game in their favor... literally anything can happen on the filed, and you are watching and betting on that!
For me it's just for fun, I don't think about it seriously, I can spend a few bucks, but never too much! When it comes to higher bets I like to make them in advance, of course you can prepare better!
