A hope the school you attend teaches you well about bitcoin.

I mean it's truly worth getting involved with!

Yeah, it is also another thing that is very important for learning about Bitcoin well. I really appreciate the schools that really care about their students' future. Because digital currencies are our future and the earlier you learn about them the better. But they should be taught really well otherwise there would be no point in doing this.
Not that sure talking about their future since this would only be part when it comes to payment system but it isnt really that bad to include it on curriculum.

Before these things can be seen on schools then of course it would really be needing those permission from the government itself. If the country or place isnt really that good in terms of

cryptocurrency reputation then dont expect that it can really be seen in most parts of the world. If it becomes a subject in to your school then consider yourself lucky because
this is an opportunity for you to know about it not only with the basics but also into the opportunities as well.

From all indications now, the sky is the limit of Bitcoin and Blockchain technology. Outside the financial aspect of it, there are other use cases that almost every sector of the economy of the world need. Many schools will soon follow the footstep of your school. Bravo to the management for being the pacesetter of the study of this great technology (Blockchain and cryptocurrency).

I do not understand how bitcoin can become a subject in school. Do you consider that school will taught US dollar also  Wink
However, blockchain is a technology and that can be taught in schools/colleges. Blockchain programing is vey much in demand these days.

Two different identities but both are possible to use  in school,.

Bitcoin can now be part of business and economics as adoptions is now embraced by institutional investors, while in the other side, we know that Blockchain is a system where Bitcoin are made, it's best for young generations to learn deeper and explore other potentials from this chain, Young bloods are more creative they can find other ways to maximize the use of this system.

It's possible those countries where cryptocurrencies are fully legimate and accepted by all spheres of life , Central Bank and governments. But on my country, government already declared Bitcoin as illegal so it can't be possible.
Unfortunately its not really possible if they set it as illegal. In our country, bitcoin is not prohibited but the stance of government seems not open to recognize it, the reason why many people still believe that its a sort of scam online due to the past news circulating against bitcoin.

If bitcoin become a subject at school then many people will understand its purpose and the advantage of using this new technology. I have not heard any schools here doing an initiative to include btc on their subject but its good to know there are other schools already doing it.

P.S - Okay, so for those who are asking on what country, type of school am I in, I currently live in the Philippines which is a third world country, a country that is not yet solidified when it comes to technology, and education that is not as advanced as it may seem, since we are focused on the main subjects, Bitcoin and the technology of Blockchain has unlikely entered, well, educationally speaking, but my school (a college institute) and probably many more has started off talking about Blockchain, there are no downsides to this since we are only talking about it and studying but they're not encouraging students just yet to become enthusiastic about Bitcoin, probably in the future.

That is so cool!!! Can I ask what university are you studying at because I too also live in the Philippines but the only opportunity to we had to learn about Cryptocurrencies was through a subject called Engineering Economy. Our professor was surprised that there were some students who learned about Cryptocurrencies and now wanted to teach us how to utilize the Blockchain Technology in which it is integrated.

Some of my friends created a Blockchain based Thesis which is for Procuring items within our University. Having to learn about something that we really can earn from is a great opportunity from that university.

My school is not technically a university, a college institute to be exact, but I like that idea of your group, doing a blockchain-based thesis for procuring items on your university, you can message me though if you want to ask me more details about our subject and my school, I don't think dropping the name here is a good idea.

It's our 2nd semester though, we're done with Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, this semester, we're giving more attention and priority with programming, web development, well, with that being said, making a project that will combine our current lesson and blockchain would be a good idea.

Bitcoin become a part of economy now, people can't ignore it anymore. It is important to learn anything that happen in this world. Now in social media, many business and finance channel talking about bitcoin. Generally the citizens of my country always not very fast to react to something new outside country, the government already react to bitcoin, but the citizens don't really care about it because the population is very big so it is not so easy to make something viral nationally. But I guess many businessman in my country now look at bitcoin right now. It still need long time to see bitcoin become a subject in any educational institutions in my country.

Just because something in a country is illegal doesn't mean you can't learn about it. After all, they teach about drugs at chemistry or medical universities, and as far as I know, they are illegal in most of the world. Bitcoin and, above all, Blockchain is an amazing technology and I am sure that soon there will not be a university in the world that will not teach about this technology.

It doesn't really matter right now since the world is going global. You don't necessarily need to be in bitcoin-legalized countries in order to take part in the space.  For instance,  Central Bank in my country recently placed a ban on the use of cryptocurrencies via our traditional banks. Now, this doesn't stop us from participating in the digital economy. It won't even affect people who take courses in blockchains and cryptography regardless of where they are in the world.

More universities will follow suit in the near future. It's high time those outdated curriculum gets a breath of fresh air.

Everything is on internet and in case if it was banned on your place but doesnt mean that you cant learn everything from it.Its just a matter on how you do put up some effort if you are really serious
on learning about bitcoin and its basic information.
Its really hard to see that this one is available worldwide but we can see that there are already institutions which do have included this into their subjects.
Lets just hope that it will really be seen in more schools soon.

I don't know if we're the same but in this school year (2020-2021) Bitcoin is now being introduced to our school, although it may not be introduced to other courses, since I am currently taking Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) hence, we are to take Bitcoin and the history of BTC. It's actually great that schools are putting Bitcoin to their curriculum, with that, I got to share my experience with Bitcoin, I got the chance to share my knowledge about the history of Bitcoin and how much I benefited from this.

Here in our country, it's not yet formally introduced at academic institutions but plenty of people is making a profit out of it. All you need to do is self-research to check its validity but I think it is the best way to introduce cryptocurrency such as bitcoin to people who're not aware of its existence. Many people perceive BTC as fraud and illegal but if it's included in the education program people might not take it the wrong way.

We will soon publish a book on Cryptocurrency and send it to all schools as a subject.
We already sent our notebooks to some schools. Smiley

What you do by publishing books related to cryptocurrency really helps educate people to get to know Bitcoin even better. Moreover, you are
planning to send it to school as a subject, this is something that must be done continuously. Because it is very important to learn cryptocurrency
from the start, especially for students to be introduced to cryptocurrency. If possible, you can also try to tell how the school responds to the books
that you publish related to cryptocurrency. Unfortunately now the pandemic is still not over, so some schools have not opened their teaching
activities offline.

I also decided to post it here because I think this is a big leap towards the future, from people doubting about Bitcoin and now, people are heavily relying on it, being informed, buying bitcoins, learning the ways on how to exactly earn bitcoins.

Many congratulations Mr. Philippine, You are doing very very well. It is very necessary today to teach & and aware students of advanced technology and E-commerce. For they could enable in future to earn their living.Bitcoin business based on blockchain technology. So there is no possibility of fraud, edit, delete, or fraud in your transactions. It is also good that you are teaching your students about blockchain technology. So continue your struggle. We all pray and desire for your success.

This is a good start, but our national classroom has not yet opened a Bitcoin course. However, there will be students in the school taking the initiative to learn cryptocurrency and blockchain knowledge. Some countries are not very accepting of Bitcoin, and will not offer courses specifically to explain cryptocurrencies. However, some countries have already done so, indicating that other countries will follow suit. This will take time.

For such to happen which I also agree is a big step to opening up the understanding of Bitcoin to students, I also believe that your Government must have a free or open policy yet with Bitcoin. I also don't think there is ever going to be a study about something without you looking at the two sides of it, so I believe some will always want to talk about negativity Bitcoin can also bring and I guess it will eventually depend on how every other person in the class sees it but at the end of the day, it is the awareness that it brings to the people and the curiosity for them that will engage them.
