I agree, that people still don't know about Bitcoin.

Despite BTC being bigger than many worlds currencies there are a incredible high number of people that still have not heard about Bitcoin or know what it is.

While this is the case at the moment, with more mediocre media covering how BTC jumped from 10K to >35K in the space of a few years will at least increase awareness among the general public. So, it is still just a matter of time

Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

yeh you are right there are too many contries encluding my country where prople dont know about digital currency
like bitcoin, ethereum and so on
i am really surprise and shock that most famous digital currency like bitcoin which has 34600$ price and they still dont know
about them. i am upset for them because when they come here to know about this they will be face alot of scams, problems and many more things

Don't be upset, for it is not your responsibility to be a preacher of cryptocurrency to the masses. This is simply a natural progression of things, don't fret on something you have no control about. The truth is, nobody really don't give a scheisse about cryptocurrency. You explain to them, you will be dismissed as a nerd. They fail on crypto and they will condemn it as a pyramid scheme. In any way there is really no way you can spread the message and everybody would want that piece of the pie. Remember it takes money to earn more money, and people don't have money to invest in Bitcoin.

Is Bitcoin popular? I'd say yes. But relative to the population of people who haven't heard about. No, bitcoin isn't has popular as it should be.
Quite a number of the world's populace have heard about it but not so many know what Bitcoin really is. You'd be shocked by what have heard about it.
some think it's just one of our days illegal means of earning. Some say it's for the young unserious individual😆.

There's totally nothing weird about the fact a large number of today's population don't know about Bitcoin. Majority of them still struggle with the genuity of what the  internet is and what it can do.

Yes, there are a lot of people still don't know about bitcoin and its characteristics, most of the people in our society or even country don't know about bitcoin. They have to know about it, even in the world of technology where everything is available and present in a simple way for the people.

And it will always be so. But note that now a lot more people know what crypto is and how it works.
It has increased after all of these years but it's not enough to say that there are a lot of us know how it exactly works and what cryptocurrencies are.

The world population is big and we're not even close to the slightest population the world has ever had but we're growing and it's expected to happen overtime.

Cryptocurrency is a new technology after all,.and the people's understanding of cryptocurrency depends on the national social financial policy, education level, etc.

There are two reasons. First, Bitcoin has not yet developed into every field of social payment. Few people use it.
Another reason is Bitcoin technology has relation with the Internet, people’s knowledge is also very important, and education is very important.

Bitcoin is a new thing, which involves less scope in daily applications, and it is difficult for many people to be interested in what has just appeared. Bitcoin is running in a network system, and it can be anonymously traded and held. People who cannot see a real object like gold will feel that Bitcoin is insecure and unreliable. There are also some regions or countries that do not support Bitcoin. If they suppress Bitcoin, people will think that what the government does not support is legal.

In our country, very few people know Bitcoin. It's just that some investors have a certain understanding and understanding of Bitcoin, but some people understand Bitcoin through negative news, so they will not have much feeling about Bitcoin. They are not interested and don't want to know Bitcoin. In some places, Bitcoin is banned. They think it's useless to understand this, and may not care too much about it.

true as you say, most people are afraid to play in bitcoin, because bitcoin relies on the internet, and not real goods, such as gold, paper money that can be held, people who plunge into the crypto world on average have a steel mentality, and are ready to face anything The risk that comes, in my country Indonesia can be said that only 20% are playing in bitcoin, 30% are still afraid to play in bitcoin, and 50% are not familiar with bitcoin...

Bitcoin is based on the underlying technology of the blockchain, and its practical applications are relatively small, and there is no widespread media dissemination, and people rarely know Bitcoin in other ways. Bitcoin exists on the Internet. Many people don't know the purpose and actual value of Bitcoin. It is difficult for them to believe in Bitcoin.

the lack of information about bitcoin causes many people not to know, they only think of the negative side of bitcoin. like in my country many say bitcoin has to do with gambling. even though it's legal and bitcoin is very profitable, it's only a matter of time to introduce bitcoin to many people

Related to government, it's not friendly yet, but the public knows it. I think now bitcoin will be more and more known because of more activity on the internet today and also the current pandemic situation. In my place, so few people knew bitcoin, until now more and more people know and learn that it has its advantages and disadvantages, where most of them think bitcoin is like another side of investment in the internet world and trading.

It is true that we notice that in our communities and country very few people and businesses know about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Unfortunately in some countries there is repression by the authorities that prohibit their citizens from using them.
The opposite thing happens in other countries and we could say that they are bitcoin and cryptocurrency friendly countries.
However, mass adoption is yet to come.
I have done a little search and found this interesting statistic.

Quote
Global Crypto Adoption

Cryptocurrency adoption is growing around the world. As a leading cryptocurrency payments company, we strive to offer key statistics to help businesses better understand the cryptocurrency market—how you can reach untapped markets and grow your business.

As of 2021, we estimated global crypto ownership rates at an average of 3.9%, with over 300 million crypto users worldwide. And over 18,000 businesses are already accepting cryptocurrency payments.

Over 300+ million crypto users worldwide.

North America - 28 million.
South America - 24 million.
Europe - 38 million.
Africa - 32 million.
Asia - 160 million.
Oceania - 1 million.

And it will always be so. But note that now a lot more people know what crypto is and how it works.

Normally when does a people comes to know about a particular thing? It’s only when he develops an interest on that particular thing.
Same thing happens with BTC.
If people has interest on BTC, then definitely they will learn about it.
And yes you can’t force people to know about it if they really show great interest in it.
And therefore it is concluded that many people still don’t know about Bitcoins.

I make an example to answer your question.I have traveled to Africa for a few years, and I used to be confident that they would know New York, Manhattan, and Las Vegas. In fact they know nothing.

i agree - we are still pretty early. it can happen that enthusiasts are in some kind of bubble (not talking about the price here) and think everyone knows about bitcoin. having heard of something and knowing something are two different things. i would say a lot of people have maybe heard of bitcoin, but most still don't understand it

this is actually something i like and i am happy to help my friends and family with questions related to bitcoin

Because most people dont have the access to internet and it is still not supported and accepted across the world. digital currency is still not being used bya most countries. but many companies are willing to invest to cryptocurrency like Tesla of Elon Musk.  It lacks promotion and information on its technology. The government does not support because they cannot control it.

Like some social media platforms, even up to this day, some people have no idea that it exists, considering how popular it is.
Bitcoin is relatively new on the internet; even though online marketplace and cashless transactions are favored, cryptocurrencies are not utilized. Bitcoin seems too complex when you just found out about it, resulting in a lack of acceptance.

Bitcoin seems too complex when you just found out about it, resulting in a lack of acceptance.

i imagine the same could be said about the internet - who really understands what happens "behind the scenes". on that node, there is this site named explained from first princicple from a guy in switzerland. the first post was about the internet, the second about email and i think he told me that the next one will be about bitcoin. the posts are long as books, but worth it, if you are interested in the topic. you see the parallels between these three things? all are networks, about communication - this will be great!  Smiley
