Will Altcoins replace Bitcoin?!?!?

Funny because everytime bullish market happens Bitcoin always crush altcoin market combined. Bitcoin is seen as gold nowadays and alts as lesser precious metal  so basically doesn't matter despite how much better an altcoin are Bitcoin always get the upper hand of being considered as the first crypto and the most precious ones.
The chance of Alt replacing bitcoin is very slim and not gonna happen anytime soon.

The reputation of Bitcoin is so high that no altcoin, not even Ethereum will surpass it in both prominence and popularity. Sure there might be other cryptocurrency where the technology and user friendliness might exceed that of Bitcoin, but never will it beat it when it comes to the sheer number of people who still trust using it. Many of us would stay loyal to Bitcoin as the top coin to invest with. But of course, as investors we also invest on others that we know we trust.

The point of the forum is to engage with other people by posting their own opinions. It is more chaotic to view opinions within Discord since it requires continuous engagement and other people might not follow if they are not online on that moment. Alternate Cryptocurrencies are always made to at least overtake Bitcoin but as far as we can see, there are no Current cryptocurrency that can surpass Bitcoin.

I don’t think it will ever happen at all, but if it does, it will not be soon. In order for altcoins to supplant bitcoin, their dominance needs to grow above 60%, now it is only about 30%. But I really look forward to it happening.

The possibility exists, but it is very difficult for any Altcoin, because what it is competing with is the king of coins, namely Bitcoin.

Don't be too sure about the saying that Bitcoin cannot be replaced forever. we don't know what will happen in the future or will happen in the next 10 years.

Indeed, yes anything can happen in the future, but you should also know that Bitcoin is almost 11 years old in crypto and it is clear that it will not just stand by even though it is very popular at this time, meaning Bitcoin will also grow in the future, because if Bitcoin does not develop, the same as the world of cryptocurrency is over.

Dominance is very important, but not all portions can be said to make bitcoin lose. Bitcoin apart from being one of the first cryptos known to the public, also brought altcoins to many users and investors. I'm not saying that bitcoin can't be beat, but the current position of bitcoin is almost unbeatable

In my side altcoins will pump because of their usecase, But doesn't mean that they can replace the foundation of all crypto. I'm happy because lots of new altcoin will have a great vision that targeted to implement to solve some of major problems.

If the economic market situation continues to keep pace with the current situation, then I don't think it will take long for Altcoin to occupy Bitcoin's position. My observation is that the many merchant of the bitcoin has been defeated because it's unstable market speed. I wish online trading will be take it's previous standpoint.

What do you mean replace? You mean another Bitcoin I don't think so there are some forks already but none of them manage to replace Bitcoin also each coins has their own uses and I don't think you can't replace one of them by another coins since each coin has their own use.

I think have true although many people said before with impossible altcoin could replace with bitcoin price, looking how YFI coin now above bitcoin price maybe we can say now there are any coin have above price from bitcoin and is YFI coin. Maybe many predictor before always give opinion no one coin could replace with bitcoin price but now you have seen how YFI have higher price and ever take above $30,000. Bitcoin only stronger on $20,000 and keep stable for YFI have higher price above bitcoin, lest wait and see how YFI coin become the king in cryptocurrency and check will get forever or just moment.

I will say never. It will never happen. Bitcoin is the father and king of all crypto currency. No altcoin will ever replace bitcoin. It’s use case, market dominance, popularity will never come below of any other coin or token. Every other coin or tokens price depends in bitcoin price. So I am sure no coin will replace bitcoin.

It's true BTC dominance over ALTs reduced but still, ALTs is not even near somewhere from where we can say now ALTs will replace BTC. In 2018 we have seen ALTs market crash heavily after the BTC crash but this year ALTs hold its position even BTC market crash.  Some people will say YFI price is higher than BTC but we need to remember that YFI supply is very very low than BTC so those two shouldn't be compared too.

I don't think so that, Because that is the blockchain exchange transaction which is counted globally. Many more government of many country has taken some positive steps for developing financial system by bitcoin and Altcoin. So, it should be take it's own stability by the traders.

I do agree with your point because Bitcoin is the first decentralized cryptocurrency and after that alts had entered in the market so alts rise will not kill Bitcoin's position ever and that's the basic example. As well Bitcoin would always remain the prime choice of people because of decentralized feature. As per the time people have started adopting BTC in every single industry after the pandemic happened. Finally, I don't think any alt would replace the BTC ever.

This is something that has been discussed probably since the first altcoin was created and so far it has not happened and now that institutional investors are backing bitcoin and only bitcoin the possibility of this happening are incredibly low if not zero, in my opinion there is nothing left to discuss, altcoins for the most part have been a tremendous disappointment after another and while there are a few good coins out there they are very far away from bitcoin in terms of adoption and real use that it should not be worth to talk about this anymore.

it will not and bitcoin stays even stronger, no matter how the altcoin prices are, bitcoin will remain the number 1 on the cryptocurrency because it is really popular more than all the altcoins combined

bitcoin is seen by most people as the first and the best , also by me , but there will be better coins/tokens with coming years , but i think that bitcoin will alway's be the king of cryptocurrency so if there are better coins/tokens you still have to buy them with the king of crypto
