Although altcoins are on the rise, nobody can dethrone BTC in the current course. When we watch the BTC movements, altcoins begin to fall immediately at the slightest drop. Likewise, when BTC rises sharply, altcoins are falling again and people are turning to BTC. Currently, no tokens or coins can replace BTC and affect BTC's direction of the market. But none of us can know what will happen in the future.
even if a token, or coin has a better function than bitcoin, or a higher price, it will not guarantee that it will beat bitcoin. I don't understand why either, but the development of bitcoin will affect any altcoin that exists today.

I agree with you in this regard. The reason is that it is the first crypto currency in my opinion and it is the first foundations of the crypto money market. In short, people do not want to exchange their existing traditions for other tokens or coins. Even in the long run, BTC will not dethrone.

As I saw there was a great pump in bitcoin price at that time ALT were not performing well, Now bitcoin price movement is not like previous and that's why ALT are showing good performance. You can see ETH also that after ETH 2.0 news the growth started quickly and now it's likely stable i mean there is no any higher price movement....

And yes I think that Altcoins can replace Bitcoin because there are so many coins are in market which price is more than bitcoin price and working properly... But bitcoin will also show some good movement and I have bitcoin and I'm happy because I bought in early time  Grin Grin Grin

Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our  discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think?

Here is what I have in mind, if ever something else to replace the current king of coins, then maybe it would be a blast. I hope not because if that time comes then most of the crypto currency will fail. As you can see Bitcoin is the father and the foundation of this. Maybe if things went well after it breaks, it would take up another decade or two just to get off the track. So either it will remain on top or we all have some fresh start from nothing.

Over the past 4 years in the blockchain space; altcoins have been replacing altcoins in functionalities and products and this had led to having over 1000 altcoin tokens in the crypto currency space. If altcoins keep replacing altcoins; how can it replace bitcoin ? In contrast, bitcoin has retained dominance over a decade; compared to altcoins to dump, pump, get delisted and vanish away. This is not a disrespect to altcoins; but only less than 5% of altcoins are safe, good and valuable.

Do you know how bitcoin getting stronger and stronger every years ? Do you know that bitcoin mining facilitybis the biggest minning facillity ? I dont think any altcoin will replace it. Whole crypto community will adjust the network and did hardfork then to replace bitcoin. Too many energy resources used to mined it. We may say thet BTC now is "Too big to fail"

Nothing is impossible on this platform. Any time that can happen. Bitcoin is the king of crypto, but a financial revolution that can replace the position of BTC. Though the bitcoin is the base of cryptocurrency. No other trusted cryptocurrency is like BTC.

Do you think that a boy or a girl can really take over the place or the status of her father/mother in real life? The same questions are typical, the answer is no. We have a dominance pourcentage out there stating this and you already know that the far the fame of altcoins goes, it will affect directly the Bitcoin fame and will contribute into people awareness, people are into the first powerful protocol, it will be hilarious if one of the coins gets over btc in terms of price but also put in mind that we are trading these altcoins with linked in pairs to btc, my thoughts are that this is never going to happen.

In spite of the fact that presently the dominance of bitcoin is marginally decreased compared to other cryptos but for presently there's no single altcoin that can supplant bitcoin as the lord of crypto because bitcoin isn't as it were a innovation but a money related transformation that proceeds to create over time, Indeed in case there will be new innovation show of course it'll not essentially supplant the angle of BTC, and everybody who is modern to crypto of course will to begin with got to learn and get it bitcoin some time recently contributing in crypto, and with that bitcoin buildup will proceed to happen due to course of time.

Bitcoin's domain is growing at a rate that seems to be a bit late for the altcoin session. The price of altcoin will not increase until the Bitcoin domain is reduced. The altcoin session is likely to come from January to February 2021.

Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency. So far no altcoin has been able to move Bitcoin from its position, nor will in the future.  You can't think of Altcoin without Bitcoin. The demand and velocity of Bitcoin is increasing day by day.  And Altcoin is there today, not tomorrow.

we can not say what our friends have been told is a fact that until now is still on the ears of everyone who follows crypto, that bitcoin is still the king of crypto, they don't know how long it will be if crypto dissolves !!! but is it possible, I think more and more people like crypto and it is very unlikely to happen.

especially now that we know bitcoin has reached its highest level after 2017 and is likely to move on until next year, which maybe altcoins will clearly follow that movement. So be prepared to accept the upgrade and forget who will be able to replace bitcoin first, because obviously it is possible and does not exist.

I can challenge everyone about this there is not a single Altcoins can replace Bitcoin. How can you beat your king with a lower grade weapon. You can say BTC created this crypto world. Not only technically but also financially there is no one can beat or replace BTC.

That any of the altcoins, no matter how highly placed or developed will overturn or replace the Bitcoin in the Cryptocurrency world is a dream that can never be reality. The ongoing bull run is a proof to that. As Bitcoin rises, most of these well known altcoins can even follow at any closer rate except ethereum that is just trying a bit.

Bitcoin now lost its original task of quickly moving money but instead, it has become an accumulative asset that the world now values even more. So I totally agree with what you say.

I don't see any altcoins rising in dominance, it's the other way around it's Bitcoin ruling the market, and the news,  just takes a look at its Dominance: BTC 69.4% and I don't think it's going down this year it's Bitcoin that is ruling the market the second coin in the market is Ethereum with only 10% market dominance.

How will altcoins replace bitcoin? while the value of the altcoins still depends on the bitcoin price, don't you see the capacity in the market? don't you see how bitcoin continues to grow? so even until the Day of Resurrection I will answer if there will be no altcoins that can replace bitcoin Cheesy

Theoretically, of course, it is possible, but the creator of this new currency will have to try hard to get investors to buy another coin. Today, Bitcoin has no competitors. This is the most well-known, proven and reliable coin with a good reputation.

The term altcoins has derived from the alternate coins. Every coin is being developed for different purpose, which are integrated with the bitcoin network for the value generation. Ethereum serves as the lead for the majority of the altcoins, as the ERC20 platform serves as the base. In terms of price we can see more altcoins having higher value than bitcoin, but something replacing bitcoin won't happen now or then.

Bitcoin had been number 1 in terms of market cap since it started, not even Ethereum is near Bitcoin in terms of market dominance. However, anything can happen in crypto, it might take a long time since Bitcoin is trusted by many and they never lose faith in it.

This had been a continuous topic since Bitcoin remained number one for too long. Crypto is crypto no matter what and we should stop comparing any other crypto with BTC since each is uniquely created for different purposes.
