Only YFI is the only altcoin that can exceed the price of bitcoin, Since being traded globally on July 21, 2020, YFI has increased rapidly, even some time ago YFI was listed as the most expensive coin, but slowly Bitcoin managed to shift YFI position as the most expensive coin in the crypto market, the bitcoin has demonstrated its quality as the best coin ever, until now there has not been a single altcoin that has been able to replace the bitcoin as the king of the cryptocurrency.
YFI can't be compared with bitcoin. it used a small supply to increase the price and that's different with bitcoin that has 21 million supply. YFI is also a defi coin that used the hype to pump its price. The creator of YFI also kept coming with the new project like keeper.
YFI was also not a native coin like bitcoin too which makes both are different.

such a thing is not possible at the moment. BTC is the most important asset of this market. Even the possibility of any altcoin to replace it could hurt the market. But of course we don't know what will happen in the very long run.

Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our  discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think?
To be honest with you, I don't think any altcoin out there has what it takes to replace bitcoin at the top spot, bitcoin is the first ever crypto currency to be created and to me its the only cryptocurrency that is truly decentralized, I really wonder why people think altcoins can replace bitcoin, there's no way that going to happen, bitcoin is the father to all cryptocurrencies out there, bitcoin leads while every altcoin follow, there's no coin that's ever going to replace it.

No need to join discord discussing about the altcoins replacing bitcoin because bitcoin existed 11 years and still there is no altcoins can defeat it.. so it's proven that bitcoin is so powerful crypto. Bitcoin is the most popular cryptocurrency.

That would be impossible if an altcoin could replace bitcoin for years, bitcoin has always been the most popular coin in the first rank in crypto and has become a trend for investors, if in the future there is an altcoin that can replace bitcoin that is very unlikely because in crypto nothing is impossible but ethereum is still a second rank enthusiast so replacing the parent coin will take quite a long time
Yesterday I was thinking about the same, but world changes and new time comes quickly than we expect.

Altcoin is a child coin that was born after the creation of bitcoin and until now it seems that no one has been able to compete with bitcoin popularity even though there are altcoins that have a price above bitcoin but these altcoins are not necessarily a substitute for bitcoin because it is a unique bitcoin system mechanism, even so most of them Altcoins also function as a means of payment with a peer-to-peer system that is decentralized (stored in many places), has a faster transaction speed mechanism, and has more privacy like bitcoin.

Right now the Bitcoin dominance is around 65%. Even among the remaining 35%, a large chunk is comprised by stablecoins and bitcoin forks. And compared to the level we had last year, the Bitcoin dominance has increased significantly. The only occasion when altcoins came close to toppling Bitcoin from the top position was in 2017, when there was only a 2% difference between the market caps of BTC and ETH at one point.
I agree, as we see it today Bitcoin owns the majority of the crypto market. With ETH being the second largest and the remaining few percentages is for the other alts. This is all alluring to the fact that BTC is stronger than ever, and with so many Alts entering the market, their dominance diminishes day by day.

I do not think so but as far as the current bull market is concerned i think eth is ready to create a new all time high for eth/btc pair previously eth has peaked around 0.1 btc always but personally im expecting over 0.2 btc peak this time around.

Im not saying that Bitcoin will always be the top 1 cryptocurrency, but every thing will just come to an end. Maybe right now there is not a single crypto that will replace Bitcoin but sooner or later there will be one.

no one knows in the future what it will be like, it's just a mystery but we can see with bitcoin that no one can match it, 11 years of being created, there is no alcoin that can compete with bitcoin, maybe in the future it will also be like this.

No one knows how high ETH may go after breaking the last time high, but still Bitcoinis unreplaceable it's been tested by time and still the dominance is surely being seen by everyone around this sphere. But if ever that ETH bring that high more investors will enjoy as the update of ETH 2.0 is expected to bring more run to this project, let things comes up and allow investors and supporters to enjoy the ride.

Bitcoin is going stronger by time. Recently ethereum market dominance have been rising slowly. Small deflection in dominance happens with bitcoin and ethereum in a consecutive manner. Bitcoin market can't be replaced anymore. Even before bitcoin there were cryptocurrencies, but those didn't reach the common people and lasted in the market. Bitcoin has grown from the scratch and has lasted years creating records. This confirms it is always Bitcoin to go stronger than altcoins.

Bitcoin already been recognized by most people all over the world, those who understand crypto knows Bitcoin, but not all are
aware or interested with the whole industry,.

Alts are still far from Bitcoin, replacing the king still far from any reality. Unless Bitcoin itself do things that will make the whole
ecosystem to suffer, that's the perfect time replacing it.

Bitcoin already been recognized by most people all over the world, those who understand crypto knows Bitcoin, but not all are
aware or interested with the whole industry,.

This because many still think that bitcoin is just a bubble. They think BTC is not suitable as a currency nor reliable investments. But institutions only care about profits and they are seeing a lot of its in BTC. That makes BTC more demandable right now and many companies like grayscale are filling their bags of bitcoin as a reserve currency.

Alts are still far from Bitcoin, replacing the king still far from any reality. Unless Bitcoin itself do things that will make the whole
ecosystem to suffer, that's the perfect time replacing it.

Actually, when someone wants to buy any alts they first buy btc and then when they convert their btc to alts. And when they want to cash out from alts they do the opposite. This happens in most cases that's why BTC dominance always stays high and it has so much influence over the whole crypto market.

There is nothing impossible in cryptocurrency. It is very difficult to make accurate predictions about cryptocurrency. It is difficult to predict what will happen in the future, but for the time being there is no alternative to Bitcoin which can replace Bitcoin. However, the YFI responded for a while. Yet the value of YFI is $31000 +. If its popularity increases in the future, Bitcoin may find its rival.
Gold had never found a competitive for many years until bitcoin showed up. However, the gaps between bitcoin and gold is still very far and years are need for bitcoin to fill this gap. Therefore, I believe that in this cryptocurrency aspect, no one has enough power to replace bitcoin even though bitcoin can be obsolete in the future. After all, bitcoin has earned lots of reputation and honesty for many years of existence

it took a very long time to see altcoins replacing bitcoin because bitcoin is one of the kings of all coins and its popularity is already very high in the eyes of the world besides that, the price and volume cannot be beaten until now little advice from me it is better to invest in bitcoin than to find other altcoins

on the market? I think it can't because the price of bitcoin is too far from etherum as well as the volume. but when it comes to new product development, etherum is superior to bitcoin. So overall, etherum is still hard to beat bitcoin. unless someday the bitcoin supply has run out and can't be mined anymore, with only its circulation in the market, I think etherum has a chance.
Topics like this have always existed and for years nothing can replace the position of bitcoin which has always dominated the market and became the king of crypto.
and the existence of altcoins begins with the existence of bitcoin as a clone of bitcoin including Ethereum which in my opinion will not be able to replace bitcoin, and this topic has not been answered accurately and can only be predicted or there is a possibility but not proven to replace bitcoin and for whatever reason it will never happen .
