From my own personal view, no Altcoin can ever replace Bitcoin, Bitcoin is the father of all crypto currency and without Bitcoin, i dont think theres a crypto, many institutions and big companies have invested huge amount of money in bitcoin and that should tell us that bitcoin is the engine driving the entire crypto industry ,if bitcoin dies which i know will never happen, am afraid but the whole crypto industry might collaspe.

That's about how I see it too, I believe two or three Alts will eventually capture the majority of the crypto market cap however.
well, right now, bitcoin's influence on altcoin is really big. however, no altcoins have been able to influence the price of bitcoin, and this has been since the cryptocurrency world began. Well, in conclusion, so far there is no altcoin that can replace bitcoin as the king of crypto.

that statement has been the key to this point and I don't think there needs to be another statement that will state another altcoin that is better or one that will replace bitcoin at the top.
I have never seen an altcoin beat the domination of bitcoin in the market, let alone to influence the bitcoin market. what happened during this time, the dominance of bitcoin is affecting the altcoin market as a whole

Yes, it is obvious because without Bitcoin, I believe all Altcoins will never be born and developed, because Altcoin developers will not know where to start and how to develop the system, so in general it is very clear that without Bitcoin everything will never there is.

That's right mate, but digital technology continues to develop and we will always see a lot of updates in the future, I still support Bitcoin and use altcoins as my second choice because altcoins have more ideas and technology they offer, NFT tokens have been ads since Bitcoin existed and we see the idea was developed by altcoin, then DeFi platform, there are many new platforms developed by altcoin and this situation is great for attracting investors to the crypto space.

No, never. Bitcoin leads the way always. Most people use alts just to increase their number of bitcoin. Look at the market now, bitcoin is down & alts are bleeding even worse. Alts are never going to replace bitcoin. All the retail DOGE investors are rekt, it’s teaching noobs a lesson.

I really agree and in my opinion bitcoin remains the top coin and can be said to be the king of cryptocurrency,

yes it is like that altcoins will follow bitcoin if bitcoin rises then altcoins also go up and vice versa

In my opinion, even though altcoins were multiplying rapidly they can never top Bitcoin because we all know in crypto world the word Bitcoin is the base of all cryptocurrency. Bitcoin will be the greatest of all time in cryptocurrency, Bitcoin is just like a King in the chessboard while the altcoins were its pawns where even though these pawns have the potential and can go to its goal it will never be a King.

I don't think it will ever, since 2008 until now we see bitcoin always at the top of the order, although there is no structured project path, no team, and nothing special about bitcoin, because very many altcoins are good but they can only be the most able to be in the 2nd place. Even today bitcoin is the direction of altcoins, where bitcoin goes, altcoins follow.

Well, there have always been so many developers, or investors, or supporters who believe that there is an altcoin that can surpass bitcoin. once some people thought that ETH, BCH, XRP, even DOGE, could surpass bitcoin. but, in the end, it all ends up being the same, that all these types of coins are really affected by bitcoin.

I agree with your statement, if there is a statement that says like the statement above then it is a joke according to me, because there is no way Altcoin can replace bitcoin.
Yes, and if you are dealing with someone who makes a statement like that, try asking him, can Altcoins still live when Bitcoin is dead? or whether Altcoins can still survive in a market without Bitcoin, and see what the answer is. Grin

It seems that if the question is asked then it is certain that they do not provide the answer to the question. but what is certain is Bitcoin will never be replaced by any altcoin

Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our  discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think?

I believe that, because I have also invited my friends to invest in crypto currencies, they used to think with limited reason that investing in the crypto world would not last long and were hesitant because in the past there was a lot of misinformation that was always directed at crypto currencies.  and now they are more and more convinced and have started to like cryptocurrencies.

I dont think so, just look at the correlation between price action of BTC and altcoin. Bitcoin is always become key for price action of others altcoin. This is just happened, when BTC dumped all altcoin followed that. Currently only BTC that possible to reached marketcap above $1 trillion and no one altcoin can make it at the moment.

Yes With time it's very much possible? How you might well,  the way crypto actually works is if you are the biggest share holder you pretty much control a coin, which is why manipulation is possible and should institutional investors jump on the popular coins they can transfer value out of btc into a coin they want and btc is overthrown.....not an easy task though.

I can imagine, that Bitcoin will be replaced by Ethereum, Cardanco or Binance, etc. at some point. Then Bitcoin will become an altcoin itself, because of its single usage. Not a financial advice.

but that might only be a shadow because replacing bitcoin judging by its strength in the crypto market is like an impossibility, bitcoin has become a benchmark for the value of a coin, the cycle that occurs in bitcoin affects other coins, it will be very difficult if altcoins want to replace bitcoin's role

I don't think any altcoin has the possibilities of replacing bitcoin. Don't get me wrong, there are several altcoins that are improvement on the deficiencies of bitcoin and have other innovative functions. But they are no where close to bitcoin, because bitcoin is the first crypto coin and it is the major player in the crypto market.
don't think too much dear. Today, it is clear that bitcoin controls almost all the movements of altcoins. in fact, we know that bitcoin's drop from its ATH a few months ago really made a lot of altcoin dump hard. right now, even ETH, or even BNB, can't replace bitcoin. I think this will continue to happen in the very long term.

Altcoins will not replace Bitcoin. From the emergence of Bitcoin to the present, it has withstood the test of time. Its anti-fragility proves its value. Bitcoin is our best and first choice for crypto investment. No other encryption has existed for more than 10 years, and with the improvement of technology, Bitcoin will become stronger and stronger in the market. Bitcoin still plays an important role. Although we may diversify investment in some altcoin projects, it has not changed the fact that the development of Bitcoin plays a key role in cryptocurrency.

bitcoin is the parent of cryptocurrencies, even bitcoin as a parameter to analyze other altcoins. therefore I don't think bitcoin can be replaced by any altcoin. from its inception until now, most altcoins have moved as if following bitcoin, when the price fell, most altcoins also followed suit.

It looks like bitcoin will soon be replaced with altcoins, and a strong candidate is ethereum. Right now bitcoin marketcap continues to decline and only have about %25 marketcap, even the daily transaction volume under Tether.

Only Bitcoin can be termed as a "truly decentralized" cryptocurrency. Other coins, such as Ethereum had a huge fraction of their initial supply marked as premine. In case of cryptos such as XRP, there was 100% premine. How can we trust such coins? On top of that, none of the other cryptocurrencies can match the security that is provided by Bitcoin. The current hash rate is around 90 million TH/s, and this makes it almost impossible for any entity to conduct a 51% attack on Bitcoin. Many of the other coins doesn't have this advantage.

you are talking about our days now but this question is for general , meaning not just today but also  for the whole time , yeah bitcoin dominate the market for more than 11 years but what we knew for the next 11 years more?
if the market still exist that time them for sure there are other coins that will arise and make different movement aside from Ethereum as the number 2 coins now.
