depending on the situation and conditions, but if you think about it with common sense then it is not possible to overwrite bitcoin. In my opinion bitcoin has never been replaced by any altcoin.

I personally can see a world where bitcoin's marketcap and activity is eclipsed by a future altcoin. Ethereum is getting very close. But in regards to "replacing" bitcoin, nothing will replace bitcoin. Bitcoin will always be the first cryptocurrency, it is the most decentralized coin and it is literally the underpinning of the entire crypto economy. Nearly all coins are quoted against BTC. This won't change in the same way the USD isn't going to be usurped by the yuan for an example.

I think that in the near future, there may be so-called altcoins in continuous development. In the end, Bitcoin may not be the only monopoly virtual currency. Because of its open source nature, some altcoins are even slightly better in technology and emerge in endlessly. Altcoins will be recognized by more people for their value in the future. In 2013, only Bitcoin and altcoins, such as the current Litecoin, was the king of altcoins in 13 years, and then gradually removed the title and became mainstream coins. But the rise of altcoins will not let Bitcoin die, nor will it replace it. Bitcoin is by far the most valuable and trustworthy. Bitcoin is the eternal king of encryption.

Bitcoin is now rising, so altcoins may not necessarily follow the rise, but when Bitcoin falls, altcoins will definitely fall. There are still no mature altcoins, but the development of technology is getting better and better. In the future, there may be altcoins that will develop like Bitcoin and be recognized by many people.

Bitcoin used to have a huge 67% dominance but it's down to BTC 43.4% and Ethereum used to have 6% dominance but now it's ETH 17.9%, Ethereum is moving closer and so are the other coins like Binance coin, but it will take time before they equal or surpass Bitcoin's dominance, and I don't think any exchange will delist Bitcoin or make other coins their primary, Bitcoin will still remain the first and will not be out in the top 5, even if other coins are aggressive in their development.

if we look at the market cap, the closest the difference to bitcoin, there is still a difference of several times to be equal. although once again in crypto everything can happen but it must also be realistic to address things like this. ethereum is likely to be able to do that to bitcoin but if bitcoin doesn't increase, because ethereum is always tied to what happens to bitcoin. every time ethereum increases it can be ascertained because bitcoin is increasing as well. That's a problem that ethereum will find difficult to do if it wants to do that.

In my opinion, no altcoin can replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin will always retain its position as the king. In the future, we may encounter all kinds of altcoins with new functions and new technologies. They may have certain innovations or solve certain social problems. But they can never replace Bitcoin. Because no currency has a global consensus like Bitcoin.

Will the rise of altcoins eventually lead to the demise of Bitcoin? Ultimately Bitcoin has been tested and it has a place in the crypto world. Join our discord https://discord.gg/pp7Jwsp9 for further discussions about this topic. Tell me what you think? Currently altcoins have good potential to replace bitcoin, ethereum, Cardano, BNB and Ripple are altcoins that have strong potential at this time. Personally I prefer altcoins to replace bitcoin because it will keep the market.

Personally I prefer altcoins to replace bitcoin because it will keep the market. You are going to name these centralized shit coins with unlimited number of coins and especially coins that are heavily pre mined and the developers control everything about them, then what is the difference between government controlled currency and centralized cryptocurrency. You cannot compare Bitcoin to any of these shit coins to be replaced in any shape or form, but i get it the investors who does not care about these and all they want is profit will always support these projects.

Why do you raise such a question? It's obvious that over the years, when Bitcoin went up, other copycats went up, but if one day Bitcoin crashed, which copycats do you think would survive? First of all, after more than 10 years of operation, the consensus of Bitcoin has been very strong and has been recognized by some countries. Moreover, the number of users is very large. Second, Bitcoin has remained strong after many setbacks, which other copycats can't. And Bitcoin has a strong technical support and computing power guarantee, other copycat coins can not compare with it. The best case scenario may be that Bitcoin coexists with other copycats, but displacing Bitcoin is unlikely.

Altcoins will not replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin is now in the leading position in the crypto market. It has rapidly established users during ten years of steady development. With the development of technology, Bitcoin is also constantly improving, and it has been able to cope with many tests in the market. Bitcoin is also being accepted by more and more people. Some countries also use Bitcoin as a legal currency, which affirms Bitcoin's strong position in cryptocurrency.

The topic's question, on the one hand, is interesting, but on the other hand, it already has a clear answer. I'll start from afar - say, will the euro replace the dollar? What about the Japanese yen? What about the Kuwaiti dinar? Not ? AND WHY ? The answer is extremely simple - the dollar is the currency that ensures all international settlements, is reasonably stable, and has the status of "the blood of the world financial market." And it was, is, and most likely will be (we will discuss it in another topic, if there is interest). The question is - can these currencies replace the dollar? NOT ! They do not have the necessary stability, security, demand and much more. Therefore, if there are no conceptual global changes in the crypto market, the cue ball will remain a "unique unit of account"

Altcoins are difficult to replace Bitcoin. Compared to altcoins, Bitcoin has existed for more than a decade, and its technical strength has consolidated its dominant position as a leader in the crypto market. With the continuous emergence of various altcoin scams, people are more willing to believe in Bitcoin with higher transaction volume, liquidity and security.

I hope it happens soon, I think bitcoin has dominated the market for too long, if it is replaced with altcoins it will certainly make all projects excited to be number #1. Altcoins like Ethereum, Cardano, Ripple and TRON are coins that I think are worthy of replacing bitcoin.

Ethereum has a good chance to replace Bitcoin. Not a financial advice.
Of the many altcoins, indeed ETH is the most suitable candidate because of its position as the second largest coin in the crypto market, but he still has to catch up with the price difference that is quite far from bitcoin.

Altcoins will not replace Bitcoin. Bitcoin has been in development for ten years. The previous zeros have not defeated Bitcoin, and now Bitcoin has been set as legal tender by some countries, which suffices to explain Bitcoin’s Strength, and Bitcoin is valuable. In my opinion, altcoins are relying on Bitcoin to survive.

Bitcoin ISthe king of crypto.Even now it is slightly reduced compared to other cryptos. Altcoins will never replace Bitcoin's dominant position, although it is currently developing rapidly, and its share of proportion is growing rapidly.

Demise of bitcoin is not possible in this time since bitcoin now is very valuable in the crypto market. Rather it would remain top coin and be always number one in the market out of all altcoins bitcoin would ahead of those all of altcoins. In terms of replacing bitcoin, it is very hard for any altcoin to replace bitcoin since it has developed further than any other coin. Bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and is difficult to replace with.

why do you think that Bitcoin is developed further than any other coin? it is first, it has best adoption, but it does have narrow purpose, with only digital gold narrative still holding true, as store-of-value, more development is needed, especially on second layer, for Bitcoin to hold on top, since there is more development and developers on other chains, namely Ethereum, but some other as well it does not mean that Bitcoin will be flipped (although there is a possibility), but one should think about all possibilities do not take this as a financial advise, do your own analysis
