To be honest, I really avoid that kind of airdrop. However, before running a task from an airdrop, you need to make sure whether the airdrop will actually be given without participating or not. although not all airdrops are like that, we should pay attention to it. even some airdrops also require doing KYC or donating before getting it.

Scam projects are increasing, and those projects also have airdrops or bounty to attract more people to their community. I have also done a lot of airdrops but received nothing, but this is understandable because this is a reward that the project gives to everyone, if you want to get money from the airdrop at this point it will be more difficult a lot, but i know of a website that is always sharing airdrops, you can follow and experience with projects there.

Bro, don't trust airdrops that gives you task, they are not airdrop but more like "work". There's definitely airdrops out there that doesn't require any task but they are all shitcoin. Almost anything new today is shitcoin, except those projects that definitely funded themselves.
Yes, now it is very difficult to get a truly legitimate and genuine Airdrop, everything is almost the same, namely shitcoin, not to mention that asking for payment from the participants who follow them, it is clear that it is a SCAM, because what is really free can become shitcoin when already shared.

Airdrop should be hundred percent free because it's a way of finding new supporters for the project so giving out free tokens will attract people and they will want to know more about the new project, it actually works but it's just that nowadays too many unqualified developers are creating their crap projects and using stuffs like airdrops and bounties to create awareness for their crap projects, you will only have problem identifying the good projects if you don't know how to do good research.

Airdrops were so popular among the crypto-community over the years. One of the key features of the airdrops is, it gives every participant a chance to get some free tokens by completing few tasks. Most importantly it is totally free of charge. But nowadays we frequently see a trend where the organizers of some of the airdrops ask to send a small fee prior to sending the tokens. In some cases, they put a condition saying that in order to withdraw tokens or any fund received from the sale of tokens, it is mandatory to take part in their ICOs. I would rather call such events as "Scam-drops" as they not only dilute the meaning of airdrops, but also make people to move away from future events due to lack of trust.

Its actually alarming that something that was so great at promoting Cryptocurrencies became a target for people who wants to take advantage of other people. Airdrops are really helpful to create a hype from an upcoming platform since some tokens can really boosts their value because of its demand. The Scam-drops only started when some platforms wanted the people to pay for their own gas fee to obtain the free cryptocurrency. This became a trend within Airdrops and now most people are scared of joining legitimate airdrops.

You gave a very nice name to airdrops "Scam-drops". Personally I have no interest about airdrops.  99% airdrops are scam. They often do not keep their promise. The market price of the token that is available through airdrops is very low. So low that the minimum withdraw limit does not cross in the exchange. I think we should all stay away from these scam-drops.

Is there anyone who accept such terms? It looks an absurd to me that after working for a campaign the person still has to send money to their employers as condition to receive his payment.
That is how bad these airdrops are doing, but all due the low standards of the employees who accept any terms. I remember when these airdrops weren't popular, probably they didn't exist yet and even teams promoting altcoins paid their employees in decent currencies like bitcoin, and there wasn't this abusive behavior of asking fee from people to pay them later. So no one was scammed in the end.

If  they only ask for easy task then you can do that for exchange of free tokens. They are looking for more community members  that's why they asked every one a task that can help to get free advertisment so they can have more community member. More project supporters means a long life for a project . As long they are not asking for private information and money then it's good for you to join .

This didn't happened just only these days. Even before, prior to the bull run you'll see a lot of ICOs were asking for their bounty participants to have this kind of partaking. They were asked for their ETH address and when the rewards were about to come, they were asking them to send a small amount of ETH for the GAS. Before, many just followed it and didn't want to take caution from it. But afterward, they have understood that they shouldn't be giving any amount of ETH because they've participated and they should be the one that must be rewarded.

I also met some conditions when I had to pay some Ethereum, which was required as a GAS fee. At that time, I did not even suspect that there could be such a fraud that is associated with the ongoing ICO and believed in the integrity of the team and good intentions. This was a good lesson for me, which helped me further identify different types of scams.

Well, it seems to me the standard scheme of scammers. This was the case with large projects. I remember one project that assured its users (hunters) that they collected 135 million. But when it's time to pay. They set the terms to pay, part of the commission to get your big reward.   Any project that begins to introduce additional conditions after the end of the work. For me today is a scammer.   I think this method brings them profit, of course small. But there will always be people who will pay this commission ...

Sounds kinda funny but right from onset we have been having both real and fake airdrops though is becoming rampant than before still yet it's more known for its work. I would say it's not nice to call it scam drop because some airdrops are still good and useful so not all is that bad. Really sounds funny.

thats not an airdrop . airdrops are free but if they ask for payment or to join thier ico , ieo , or any funding thats not call an airdrop anymore but that can be termed as forced investing or simply your called as an investors

but airdrops now can also be classified as a scam because you only work without payment ,

how many times i see people complain that they dont get thier coins from this and that projects . airdrop has changed now too bad .

Any airdrops I engage in saying that kind of sending money or ICO participation I just back off or put my mind off such airdrop if I already participated. I participated in one after the campaign the coin created its on wallet then the money realized was sent to the new wallet and till date I have no for knowledge of what really happened and why the need  for all the stress just to cash out after taken on the task for the project.

There were many scam drops in the past that were created just to collected the data of the users, some of them enforced KYC and many were smart enough to avoid those for a few pennies and those were just scams just to collect documents. I used to join a few air drops in the past but not anymore for the past two years as it is not worth wasting your time.

Never join an airdrop launched by a project that has not been released or has not been tradeable, especially if they ask for something from you as a participant, be it eth for fees or even KYC, because anyone can do something like that.
Airdrops are actually airdrops launched by a project that is already successful and can already be traded, they usually do it for some reason like as a gift to their token holder or something else.
well what you say I really agree, especially when there is an airdrop in the telegram bot, it is certain that 99% will lead to a scam because until now no telegram bot has been successful because there are frequent errors, it's better to participate in the bounty campaign according to my scam risk is not very high.

Obviously it is more of a scam practice, because as you have realized it should be completely free because it is not only in the airdrop program that causes such suspicion. Many other sites and platforms such as gambling sites offer huge bonuses by asking to make a deposit of at least a few dollars, so of course it is a scam practice that we should abandon and there is no need to expect to get any reward from it. There are still many legitimate airdrop programs out there, we just need to be more careful and don't be blinded because the rewards are big, at least we have to know the background of the project itself first.

I made a large number of airdrops and the result was ten out of a hundred tokens.  This is at best that they cost very little, and at worst nothing at all.  For example Minerium.  I wanted to bring the MNE token to the Livecoin exchange where it is traded.  So they just took a couple of dollars per transaction from me, and as a result, the tokens remained in my wallet.  Basically these are all fraudulent activities now.

In my opinion, Airdrops are expected to be free and when some financial request are made, then its something else. The only requirement which is valid is the inclusion of little social media tasks. We need to be mindful to the fact that several developers are out to take advantage of the newbies and part away with their fund in exchange for worthless tokens.

I earned lots of tokens in 2017 from Airdrops and lots of projects were accurate and potential. But, right now lots of projects are fake/Scams. Now when I hear about Airdrop, I think it's fake. It seems like it's just a waste of time but there's still a lot of good airdrops. The ones that can be found after a little checking. So everyone should be careful before starting an airdrop.

it is true, the current airdrop is no longer like the 2016-2019 airdrop. now mostly scams. although not all scams, for example Uniswap, are profitable. However, it's really hard to find one that actually pays that way. the point is crypto airdrop is free crypto.
