I don't know, less drama seems like a good thing to do actually, why would we want more drama? Just have the decisions checked each time from the VAR and you will get the results. As long as the VAR results are aired on TV, if the ref makes a wrong decision when the VAR clearly shows the right one, then people could see if the ref is bad or not, and ref association or whatever could warn the ref.

So all in all we shouldn't really be wanting less tech, we should want more. Maybe accuracy isnt 100% like expected in some situations but its better with VAR them without it. The new thing that they added in the ball to detect automatic offside will be insane and i hope it will work. Still with VAR things need to be closely looked so there isnt any mistake.

I agree that it would not be good if technology is used too much in football, and that because of the watching videos of controversial situations referee stops the game too often.
The right balance needs to be found between the requirement for non-interruption of the game and the checking of possible serious mistakes by the referees that directly affect the result of the match.
After all, don't we have a cooling break lately, when the matches are played in high heat and in difficult conditions, so that the players can refresh themselves and rest?
