I said numerous times that I don't agree with banning Russian players to compete in international competitions but I agree that many years and even decades will pass until Russia will be hosting another competition like World Cup or Olympic games. Hosting an international competition is by far more political business than Russian players playing in the international competitions.

FIFA doesn't have any issue in Qatar hosting the world cup and Saudi Arabia taking part in it. If countries involved in ongoing conflicts need to be excluded, then how come Saudi Arabia is participating? Currently they are engaged in a bloody civil war in Yemen, which has killed far more people when compared to the Russo-Ukrainian conflict. The only possible reason is that Asian lives are worth less than European lives for the FIFA. On top of that who will have the courage to take a stance against the Arabs, who are swimming in wads of money?

Because FIFA knows that it is a political issue that is being raised by some Westerners, of course the rejection is based on illogical grounds, FIFA understands very well to choose the Middle East Country as the hosting of this year's World Cup, because the countries of Qatar and Dubai are the most it's safe to hold a World Cup event, then why has the refusal been done recently, why not from the start there was a rejection from the western countries, of course this will be related to politics, that's the selfishness of the western block people who always mix politics with football, because of that It's not appropriate if football is mixed with dirty western politics..

Russia has received one of the largest sanctions on actions in the wake of military strikes in Ukraine. All clubs and national teams of the country have been banned by FIFA and UEFA. But it was not right for FIFA and Wafer to take such a harsh decision. They should forget political vendettas in sports even though the country's military is in such a state of war, action resources are not involved. So I think such a harsh decision never gets accepted as a proper decision.

People all over the world are facing a lot of problems because of the war between these two countries, Russia and Ukraine. I think this problem is more on the financial side. The conflict between their two countries is not being played properly. But when is the conflict between their two countries?  No one knows if it will end and no one can say how long it will last like this. But it's having an effect on the game I imagine.

And because of those problems Russia is under economic and bunch of other sanctions. It doesn't make sense to ban players from competing just because they are Russians. If they did nothing wrong, why should they be punished?

Messi just had a small injury, but he is definitely playing in this world cup.

Leo Messi will remain in treatment for an inflamed Achilles tendon as a precautionary measure. He will resume training next week.

We are just over 2 weeks away from the start of the World Cup, and the players going to Qatar will have to start managing their physical condition, so that injuries don't get in the way.
Probably Messi started training, but maybe he won't do 90 minutes again, in the next games, just in case.

Yeah, you just have to be prepared for the worst. You never know what will happen, but I'm sure that Messi is preparing his mind as well as his body for this world cup, as it's going to be his last one. He already decided that he won't be playing in the next one.

Sports always gives us an opportunity to make advancements in global peace. But then, NATO started pressurizing FIFA and as a result of that they were forced to suspend both Russia and Belarus from the tournament. Next they may ban China. If sports bodies ban any country which they don't like, then their own reputation will be going down the drain. This is something that can't be encouraged.

I think Messi's injury is minor and he'll be at his 100% for the world cup. He's just taking some rest as extra precaution.

But this world cup will be a massively competitive one, so he might even get injured in the first match there.

Now as we are near to start of this event injuries list is going longer specially few good players are set to miss this event which was waited by millions for four years Pogba's absence is surely going to hurt France with few more players are also missing which is surely not suitable thing, and we can hope this list will not increase near the world cup Argentina is also having few problems.

The Brazilian national team has announced its official squad for the World Cup. But unfortunately Tite did not include Firmino in his squad that flew to Qatar. Tite prefers Richarlison over Roberto Firmino. In fact, if you refer to the goal record, Firmino has scored six goals in the Premier League.

Then what became my focus was when Gabriel Magalhaes was not called up, even though his performance with Arsenal was quite good and deserved to be in the squad rather than Bremer.

However, that was Tite's decision. I still appreciate it in terms of choosing the composition of players to bring to Qatar. And I wish Brazil success in the 22nd edition of the World Cup this year.

I get mad at a senseless war because I am from a country which democracy rules the people here.I know that they published a law that anyone who discredit the military will get punished by law from 15.000 RUB fines up to years in prison and I also saw the protests in the beginning which were shut down by force.Having said that why do 83% of people still support this senseless invasion?

I think enough of politics here as the thread is derailing,I support Argentina to win the world cup and I think they have high chances,also Messi would be playing his last World Cup most probably and also the Argentinian team has quite some quality players to help him achieve this.
