I quit smoking and buy Bitcoin every week

If everyone of us will do the same ? surely the environment is the first that will benefits and of course our pocket because imagine how much money we spend in smoking twice or more every hour?
I  can use 3-4 cigarettes every hour and this will be more when i am drinking alcohol , But this post inspires me and will let my wife read this later when i got home , so we may both stop our smoking habit and let those amount spend in holding crypto , either Bitcoin or the altcoins of her choice .

Hey folks,

I decided to quit smoking today and buy Bitcoin every Sunday. A pack of cigarettes I smoke is $10. It cost me $70 per week. So every Sunday, I will buy Bitcoin without checking if the price went up or down. Even if it goes to the moon, I will keep buying. I will edit this post frequently in the future. This Sunday I will start investing $70 in Bitcoin every  Sunday. I will keep this doing as long as possible and let's see what is going to happen.

I believe that at least I will invest in something that I believe, instead of wasting money on unhealthy cigarettes. Maybe some of you can do the same.

Thank you all for your support guys. 1. Week I bought 0,003650 BTC. Even the last 2 days it was cheaper, I waited until Sunday to buy. Rules are rules. I edited my post and let's see what is going to happen.

Btw, to be honest, I couldn't stop smoking completely. But in 3 days I only smoked 5 cigarettes in total. I smoke cigarettes for 10 years. I quit smoking for 1 year before. So I can do it again. Probably I will not smoke more. I feel better now.

I followed Allen Carr's famous Easyway to Stop Smoking method to quit smoking before and in my opinion, it's the best way I have ever tried. I am sure it will work again. For smokers I can recommend this method.

edit: I converted € -> $ to evaluate easily. I invest $70 weekly.

Best of luck bro I hope you will achieve what you want to achieve.It's a cool way to get rid of this bad habit of making and earning some profits through Bitcoin .I myself will tray your method and save money which i spend on unhealthy things and spend it here.

Really appreciate what you have done, for me a person with a smoking habit just to change not to smoke is already an achievement in itself. but this is more than an achievement but it is a motivation for everyone that if there is an intention it can be done.

in installments from deposits to buy cigarettes and turn them into bitcoin is a very rare thing that can be done without the right intention to make changes. Seeing the results that I have recently saluted, how about a year or at least every halving period.

A very good decision making you did and I will congratulate you for this good decision, I hope there are lots of people realize this. Smoking contribute bad results to our financial matter. Although the amount when spending it is just a little but when you do it daily haler it can contribute huge amount of money to spend. I am very proud for a person decided to quit smoking.

Waiting for the update of OP here I hope he was not tempted to try smoking again this can really challenge him this is not easy task quitting smoking, I know a lot of my friends before who are smoking and already said they will stop but look until still smoking lol but this one has a motivation buying bitcoin instead of cigarrete is a great idea hope you will continue.

So this is your Weekly Budget for smoking? How much per pack the cigars in your country man?

I use to smoke also in college days but the cigarettes are cheaper so i only spend at least 10-20$ a week , well when i was in college the price per pack is just a 1 dollar and 40 cents per pack .

Hope you'll permanently leave smoking and become a Millionaire in the next couple of years.

Monthly salary of just $35? In my country, it is like the minimum wage for one day of work. Where are you residing? It is very difficult to believe that such low wages exist in 21st century. Around 2 decades back, that sort of salary existed in countries such as India and Indonesia. But nowadays, the minimum is around $100 per month, and that too in the most remote and rural areas.

This is a good sign for your health, I'm also a smoker and so much more, but I have no choice but to give up on it to make things better. It is not good for health, but it helps me relieve stress from the pressures from this market. But anyway, the amount of money you spend on cigarettes to this market has been a positive thing, I like people like you and it helps me feel there are more interesting stories in this space.

Imagine the amount of money one uses to buy the vice. My friend who was a smoker buys a pack of cigarettes 5 dollars a day. I mean that is one pack of cigarettes a day. Yes, not really that much like those who smoke 2 packs a day but think of the money spent and if you could have spent these dollars on crypto then it is a good choice to stop smoking. It is a hard thing to do this stopping but it is really worth it.

There really are countries that are below the minimum wage of other countries. That's very unfortunate if he gets to earn $35 per month.
I can't imagine myself living in that amount of having a family together to spend that amount. It's not even going to sustain the monthly bills unless I will cut off my electricity and will only ask for water for free.

Smoking is something that is very dangerous to the health. When we say smokers not to smoke describing the health issues, the very first thing they say 'even the person who doesn't smoke also getting sick'. In this way smoking can't be quit by anyone's suggestion, it needs self realisation. Here this person has understood it, and I expect this guy to flourish through bitcoin to stand as an inspiration to the guys who spend big on smoking.

That is really very good way to quit smoking. I'm very sorry that author (eucalyptus) stopped updating the thread every Sunday. It was very interesting to see how the price for BTC volatile and for the equal amount of money he was buying different amount of BTC. Maybe he again started smoking and that is the reason he stopped updating the thread.

it seems we also need continuation like you said, whether (eucalyptus) still continues to stop smoking and keep buying up bitcoins. If my look at his account it looks like he is still active, is it possible that he might come back as you said to smoke again.

but we should not be prejudiced against him, what he does will actually trigger many people to follow what he does. I hope that after this post he will be active again. want to know how many bitcoins he got, of course extraordinary.

I wonder why OP stops updating this thread. this is a motivation thread. I was inspired by this thread to do the same thing. But, since I am not a smoker, I used free money from my exchange affiliation earning to buy whatever coin I want to buy on the day I earn that money. I got paid daily from that exchange.

let's make some calculations. I assume he bought 6 times only.
he already collects 0.015054 with $420
the current BTC price is $56,400
so, his BTC value should be $849 by now.
he already gained +102%

People can still love money and continue smoking. One thing does not interfere other. We dont know the reason why he smokes. Maybe he kills stress with smoking. If he quits, he will substitute it with something else. Like food for example. Than he will have troubles with excess weight.

I'm not a smoker, but to be able to quit smoking, organism must get into situation when he will understand that smoking is bad and destructive. Then it will drop smoking by itself. Otherwise as long as smoking does not interfere, organism wont show signs that this habbit must be dropped.

Yes I still love money, but I want to quit smoking more, and I haven't done it for the last few days, I can't stand the stress and pressure it makes me use weed more than cigarettes, and it costs more money. Therefore, I changed my mind to continue smoking to save money.

Good for you OP because not many has the will to quit something that they had been doing for a long time or addicted to it, I have read some testimonies about smokers and addicts that they know that what they are doing is bad but they don't seem to be able to explain why they can't stop, it's just that they want to do it no matter what. I hope that with the money you save from smoking and being invested in bitcoin makes a good deterrent for a relapse.
