Do you rely on the odds when placing bets?

I think it's not fun to just bet randomly in sports, maybe in luck based games like roulette and dice. We choose to bet in sports because we believe we know the game and we know the teams, and therefore it will only be fun if we will try to put some effort on analyze the odds that bookies are giving before placing our bet. I'm sharing what I do, I'm sure most of us are doing the same.

Who knows if there are sports bettor that find it fun to just randomly bet in any sports. Those yolo mentally gamblers find it fun if they do that.

Just like the others, we do have different descriptions of having fun. But as long as you do it without regret and you're aware of the consequences and if you lose, you'll just accept it, that's okay.

^ That is completely for fun. I can't imagine if there is a bettor like that who did not even have a small research and randomly bet based on what he likes or preferred to the odds that given by the site. Sports betting is something like you need to study some technical analysis and much better if you know what happens inside information on each team. Something like an injured list or the how many weak members on each team, always considerable to choose how many MVP on each team which gives a high probability of winning.

Maybe there are bettors doing this but I can't imagine that they will bet randomly and watch the game, it's just too stupid to cheer on a team that you did not even know and you just have to because you have pick them when you do a random pick. That's why for me it will never work, this is more than blindly betting, more like a lottery style of betting.

Specially when i am in losing streak ? i find it funny and enjoyable if i will bet randomly ( but for small amount only for Fun time)

Good for you if you able to earn decent profits just by following those odds.

Most of the time, bookmakers shuffle this and without knowledge about the game your winning chances is slim. Unlike with what happened to you where mostly you picked the right team or players even you don't have enough knowledge regarding to the performance just lying with what fate brings you.

Of course I took into account the odds besides the competing team. To anticipate a defeat with low odds, I usually analyze the players and also the standings or the last 5 matches. NBA and Ball, usually I am interested in joining them in the Parlay. But I also lost with low odds in table tennis matches that made me no longer interested in betting on the sport.  We can usually observe the ball less than other sports competitions. especially if we bet a big team

True, but with low bets, if you are interested in a single bet on a big team, it can actually be done if you are in doubt about the parlay. The winning chanche is bigger and if we lose the match there is still a chance in the next match. with a note using the martiangle strategy. This player analysis is key in the ball game and also the last 5 games in my opinion

I am doing a similar approach when I don't know much about the teams but still want to bey. In case we see attractive odds and want to cover our self's we can start out with small bets. The martingale strategy is long term wise that most profitable for me because we will always recover our losses once we win. The only problem is if our bankroll is too small and we get knocked out.

That's a really helpful experience. Some of the new gamblers really rely on the odds specially when they do not know the players but still want to bet on different sports to try and experience it. I also did try this kind of betting style but it did not work for me because most of the matches that I have placed the bet on was somehow always played by a dark horse of the tournament which is why I transitioned into only betting on someone or a team that already showed their capabilities.

Definitely, if the odds displayed is attractive then I will definitely consider betting on it but I can disregard the fact that that odds are put there because the team is doing badly, maybe checking if they have done any miracle comeback games then I guess that they can be considered, I also will consider the team that they are fighting against, are they a powerhouse in that league or are they an in-between because that can help with the odds.

You don't understand because you probably haven't those people that really do that thing. The fun for them is just to bet with almost anything whether they know it or not.

That's surely an easy way to bet since most of the times the bet which has higher winning probability has more odds.
But personally I don't like this kind of bet since the risk to reward ratio is often bad in these kind of bets.
Bigger Odds have less rewards and the risk taken doesn't add up to the reward. Though the probability of winning is high some times the luck goes against us.
I have tried it once or twice but don't prefer it more often.

Some do risk out even if they do saw 1.01 but others do really find out another line for them to make bets to utilize or getting profit as much as they can.There are lots of variations you can choose on.

Its up to someone on which one he would choose to make use or would just decide on sticking with that single bet with low odds or profitability.I dont see anything worth if it does below 1.5x.

If there are other options given then that would be a good option to take and i can bare to take risk rather than on a 1.01.

No you are wrong, the risk to reward ratio remains the same AFAIK, odds are lower BECAUSE the risk is lower too.
The implied probability of winning is the inverse of the (decimal)odds. With 50% chances of winning you'll have a betting odds of 2.0 With 25% chances to win you'll get 4.0 So when winning chances double, the reward halves.

Many gamblers are like that. They won't bet if the odd is that low and they'll look for another match where they're still knowledgeable and if the choice based from their analysis has a higher odds, they'll go for it.

Random bets also happens when they want to.

But just to be sure if they want to win, they'll go with the odds that seems to be good for them and with the help of analysis for that match, they'll cast their bets on.
