Is it right time to Buy Alt coins now?

The BTC has made history today  and broke its all time high record. It is currently trading around $ 20500 to 20600. BTC Dominance Index is around 65% which is very High. I personally think that it is the Right time to take entry in Good Alt coins ( Ranking from 2 to 20 on coinmarketcap). I believe that History of 2017 will be repeated soon. We will soon witness Huge rally in Alts. It should happen when BTC will stabilize around current levels and BTC dominance Index comes down to below 60%.

Making a decision to invest in altcoins or crypto currency should not be dependent on bitcoin having a bull run or price rise. If it is dependent on that then literally it means that you are buying / investing under pressure (FOMO). You can invest in crypto currency any time of the day; but atleast understand what crypto currency investment means itself.

I dont think the term "invest" is related to the question since i think he refer "buy" to short-term decision. I dont suggest to buy altcoin right now, wait until BTC Dominance decreased or just buy small portions of altcoin gradually.

I think it's not the correct time to buy Alt because as we everyone saw that the BTC price pumped and created it's new ATH. According to me investors are focusing on BTC right now and ALT season not started yet according to my knowledge. It will be good if we wait for the proper time so that we can invest in ALT because ETH 2.0 will come to the market soon and also there will a great impact i price.

well said. Mass dump is possible after huge increase in price of any coin including BTC. This risk is always associated with investments in crypto currencies. Diversification is the best insurance against Market Volatility. Spread your investment in Top 10 coins and sell them when Alt market becomes bullish. Most likely, the Bull run in alts will start when BTC Dominance will come down to 60%.

There are multiple contradictions in your post. If an altcoin is "good", then there is no chance of it dying. Most of the time, a cryptocurrency dies out because there is no demand in the market as it can't compete with the other coins. If a particular cryptocurrency is suitable for one or more unique sectors, then it will remain in use, no matter how much competition is there.

And secondly, it is wrong to say that the altcoin prices have not changed. You can check the charts yourself. Perhaps it is true that they haven't moved as much as that of Bitcoin. But most of the alts have witnessed a 50% to 100% increase during the last two months.

if you are afraid to choose an altcoin because there is no development, then I suggest choosing a popular altcoin. well, I don't know if it's the right time or not. currently, altcoin season doesn't seem like it's entirely the case. Yes, buying altcoins now is fine but keep in mind that bitcoin has better chances to boom first and rest of the altcoins will come second but having said that accumulating quality alts is not a bad idea because they are also going to moon sooner or later.

If it doesn't pump yet but not what they call shitcoin then it's good to buy some of that. Some altcoin's I've been following have started pumping like ltc and xrp so I think it's risky now to invest on those, while others like DOT and LNK hasn't pumped yet in terms of btc value. Just remember that if you want to trade altcoins, DYOR or else you'll be a bagholder of that coin for a long time.

I don't feel very excited in dealing with altcoins right now. First of all, the Bitcoin dominance has increased by almost 10% within 2-3 months. A few months back, the market share for BTC was 57% and now it is close to 67%. Also, many of the established altcoins are now trading below crucial support levels. Ethereum has gone below 0.027 BTC, while Litecoin is now trading at BTC0.0047. The same can be said about BCH and XRP as well. Since the support levels are not getting maintained, we can expect a massive selloff in the near future, which should lower the prices further.
