I have loved James Bond movies and I have downloaded even some movies from the late 1960-s where Sean Connery was young.However beside Casino Royale which I believe everyone has seen I have not noticed or I didn’t pay attention to any other casino scene.

you know them . koreans are good at making films and if your a fan of gambling movies you are sure going to love what they prepare for but i dont think that the trick that they apply on the movie can also be used on real life but that story can be fictious only . for james bond movies , im only familiar with one movie of him about gambling and that was casino royale . the movie was popular that other gamblers on this forum recognize it until now  . i also played a good james bond game on the ninetendo 64 , it was golden eye but not a fan of this movie

Well I have never watched James Bond movies but I have watched many gambling related movies. One of my favorite is a Bollywood (Indian) movie named as "Luck". It's a great movie depicting power of luck and not only gives one a thrill but also motivates the audience to actually believe on "fate". I would love to watch the movies you have shared

Yes, I am really amazed how good Koreans create their plots and twists when they are making movies. I like searching for different movies from different countris aside from Hollywood. I remember one time I had a James Bond movie marathon since my father is a big fan, it's a movie worth watching esepcially that scene where Bond almost died because of poisoning when he was in a poker table.

I watched Jame Bonds movies before and never take any attention to the casino scenes because I'm still young back then. Maybe if we watch it right now, gambling scenes will be something different because we know what they are doing. Im a fan of every James Bond movies but since action movies mostly have either gambling or hotel scene there's no need for me to remember each But the most recent and always comes to my mind is the recent because the title stands for the Casino House literally . and that is Casino Royale.

and about Movies that has casino best scene are mostly chinese movies and the Ocean Series ,i just forget what part from Ocean sequels ,the famous is Ocean 11.

I have only watched casino royale so I can't really compare it to the other James bond movies gambling scene but I have to say that the gambling scene in casino royale is pretty amazing.

I highly suggest Uncut gems I was sceptical about this movie since adam Sandler was starring but damn I was blown away after watching it.

The first 4 are old movies, I did not watch it, I was only able to watch the movie dated 2006 which is the Casino Royal, it was a good movie actually.

As someone who doesn't watch that many movies, James Bond movies (specifically Golden Eye and Casino Royale) are one of the ones that I've always loved and enjoyed no matter what. It's one of those movies that I've actually watched from the minuscule amount of movies I watched, and I've never really regretted it. I might watch the others when I have some free time since most movies I've ever watched are recommendations, never really actively looked for them. On that note, I liked Casino Royale over Golden Eye though.

Only Casino Royal will be his latest movie in regards to gambling, the rest have been made a very long time ago making young people never see it.
Yeah, I was to say that I didn't even see those movies because what I mostly see are his action movies. It could be interesting, maybe? We know that new technologies changing a lot and since this movie is old, will I think that it is more different from how it pictured out before.

If you have watched this gambling related movies, I think that you also should watch God of Gamblers film series, it is a Hongkong based production, also Chow Yun Fat is a good actor so you will enjoy this movies.

Probably the best gambling casino I have seen, it's a three-part movie made in the '90s, the movie is full of deception and there's a lot of twist to the movie, in one of the movies Chow Yun Fat got amnesia but his gambling skills is always there and he was exploited by those who adopt him, I encourage all those who are into casinos to watch this movie, it's action-packed movie.

I watch a lot of movies and TV shows, and even though I'm not a fan of Bond, I watched Casino Royale. As for interesting gambling movies, two come to my mind. The first one is Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels which is not only a funny movie, but also one that shows the dangers of playing in physical casinos with dangerous people (has they played online in a provably fair casino, a lot could be avoided  ), and that one should not borrow money to gamble. Then there's a good movie that is centered around gambling, and it's Molly's Game. It shows various situations (like how a person might lose a poker game because of failing to understand the strategy/flaws of another person) which are related to poker, and I think it's both informative and entertaining.

My favourite casino scene is definitely playing poker in Casino Royal. Daniel Craig is an awesome bond actor. It's such a shame that the latest film wasn't released this year. Can't wait to finally see it.

I watched all of classic James Bond movies when Sean Connery passed away. R.I.P.

It seems the world was in a better and healthier place when these movies were made. They have a good energy, authenticity and cleverness to them.

My favorite gambling scene was Goldfinger. The scene where the villain has a woman with binoculars reading his opponent's cards for a hustle. That was much more clever and original a scene than most of what I see in films today.

2nd favorite gambling scene: On Her Majesty's Secret Service. James Bond covers a woman's gambling debts. She has sex with him as repayment(?). She returns the money he loaned her. Then later James Bond returns the money her father pays him to marry her. There's a cool symmetry to it.

Casino Royale is going to be the only movies watched by most on that list because we can consider only it as a modern-day movie all others are mid and late 19th century movies. Well, there are a lot of gambling-related movies out there apart from the James bond collection the one I loved the most is from the Hangover which is actually a comedy genre movie that has gambling part in it when the gang reaches vegas.

I’d heard a good reviews about Dr No but I still didn’t watch it since its an old movie and I can’t find any site to watch it. Well, there is movie I liked the most that was all about Gambling. If I remember it correctly, --the title of the movie was a CASINO.
It was about a professional casino player that has been hired by the oligarch to run theirs. The guy has a lot of ways to win at the casino and he knows all the tricks and hacks about the game. That’s why the Oligarchies decided to hire him as the CEO so he can trace each and every hacker within their establishment. Then later, his reign went down when he met the love of his life who betrayed her and he then turned to a banker after all the things happened. James Bond movies were infact good yet it wasn't really about gambling nor highlights important sides of gambling, its plot revolves on pure action. Hence, why not try watching The Gambler^[1]? Far from the action genre, The Gambler depicts gambling addiction, which is preferable for newbies to watch, as a warning on what would lead you when you would be addicted to gambling. (I'm still fan of Casino Royale tho, Daniel Craig remains the best James Bond actor)

Well I think the film can do whatever you want because it is a setting made to make the audience interested because actually when you want to try something the same as what Daniel Craig did it seems impossible.

Yes, obviously everything is just a setting to attract the audience and all that is played is a role and a story that is not necessarily in him, including Daniel Craig.
and the film that I really like in the Casino Royale story where James Bond is sent to the French casino Royale-les-Eaux and his mission is to bankrupt a ruthless Russian agent who has given bad luck to many people at the gambling table.

It also caters the skills of Hongkong cinema of the '90s, it is also a comedy so you can be sure that the actions are not monotone because you will be laughing at some scenes. Chow Yun Fat is some of the greatest Hongkong actors in my opinion, together with Martial Arts Movies and Comedy Films from Hongkong which is much better than any Hollywood movie to be honest.

I haven't watched any the five movies that was mentioned but I did look up each scene after reading the blog and it was a treat to watch them all. The scene that I enjoyed the most was probably the backgammon one seeing the guards get mad in the end of their session was very relatable. Thanks for sharing these gambling scenes, after all those clips I feel like watching the entire thing since I rarely watch gambling movies.

Basically, at the end you will be sanction as a cheater that's-all. Most of these movies are my favorite, these actors always have one trick for the game to win opponents, which sometime the tricks aren't real type and won't be acceptable in a real world. The only thing am pleasurable at when i watch these movies is their expressions when they win or loss and the fight eruption between the groups involved in the gamble.

Am I the only one here who is not familiar with that scene ? The latest James Bond, Daniel Craig, lacks charisma in my opinion. That's why I wasn't able to finish any 007 film which is he is the protagonist. Don't get me wrong, the action and story is good especially since it was modern but d*amn Pierce Brosnan is still the best.

Anyway, I visit Youtube because I'm curious what kind of gambling scene is it and I find it thrilling in fairness. Bond's Straight Flush was insane, $100M+ in a glimpse ez!

Aside from James Bond movies, I have also seen this mentioned Korean movie. It is really enticing to watch these films especially if you are really into gambling. It would make you hopeful and dream of achieving what they did in the movie but in the end, it is not what is in the reality. Still, they are also lessons that can be gained from watching such movies.

My favorite scene is from Casino royale when every gambler at the poker table goes all in and the pot came up to $115 million and at the end, each player has pairs that have winning capabilities, Ofcourse Mr. Bond is the winner having a straight flush. Aside from James Bond movies, I have also seen this mentioned Korean movie. It is really enticing to watch these films especially if you are really into gambling. It would make you hopeful and dream of achieving what they did in the movie but in the end, it is not what is in the reality. Still, they are also lessons that can be gained from watching such movies.

Indeed, the film showed a good story and moral to the people who've been fan of gambling particular with casino games. Any movies can be useful whether it's James Bond associated with western culture or asian culture that constitutes to korean films. Most of these gambling movies correlates with several situations, which really been happening in the reality of our lives. My favorite scene is from Casino royale when every gambler at the poker table goes all in and the pot came up to $115 million and at the end, each player has pairs that have winning capabilities, Ofcourse Mr. Bond is the winner having a straight flush. I'm also a fan of casino royal remember watching it with friends and we also do betting on what the outcome or result in the movie can be. After Casino Royal is Hangover episodes that are in Las Vegas scenes amazes me, their techniques as well the storyline is interesting to watch with. Hi Karl, I'm also a James Bond movie fan. I've watched all the James Bond films, there are indeed several gambling scenes.
But because I belong to the millennial generation, of course the most memorable is Casino Royale (2006), played by Daniel Craig.
In the film there is a Texas Hold'em game scene, from the title it is synonymous with gambling. So Casino Royale is the best
James Bond film with the best gambling scenes in my opinion. Then another film related to gambling that I recommend is 21 (2008),
which tells about the MIT Blackjack Team which is based on a true story.

I've watched all of the James Bond movies when I was a kid, in a VCD player. I was still not aware of gambling that time so all I notice back then was all of his cool moves, cool cars, and how privilege he is. But now that I'm an adult, I've just rewatch some if it and yes, gambling scene in that movie is pretty amazing but there's still a lot of movies that surpass it. There was a chinese movie that I've watched which is a dice game gambling and the protagonist has the power to move things so he always win in DICE.

I am not a big fan of James Bond but I saw few of his movies but I didn't see any scene that are gambling related. The top 5 has been deployed already so I can see that James Bond has made a lot of scenes that is gambling related.

But movies are quite very different to real life in terms of gambling especially in terms of high stakes like in the Diamonds movies where James plays a high stakes gambling and challenge the dealer by raising $10k, though there are very few who plays a high stakes gambling but I can say that the percentage of them is very less like less than 10% out of 100% as most of the gambler are hoping to win and they will not take the high risk if they don't have a good chances of winning.

I like watching movies as well. I've watched this good movie, however this is a Korean movie, titled "Tazza: The Hidden Card". I find the scenes thrilling and how players have their own tricks when playing cards. Yes, I am really amazed how good Koreans create their plots and twists when they are making movies. I like searching for different movies from different countris aside from Hollywood. I remember one time I had a James Bond movie marathon since my father is a big fan, it's a movie worth watching esepcially that scene where Bond almost died because of poisoning when he was in a poker table.

Aside from different movies from different countries, other genre such as anime also has good gambling movies. I watched this anime titled " Kakegurui" which is about an elite school where gambling and slavery is legal. Students are evaluated in their school depending on their gambling skills.

I have not yet seen any movie that conveys the essence of the game with the all that goes with playing live for a big prize or the simple subtlety of a single play that marks you for life when you put a large amount of money at risk.

But whatever the essence of "loading" the whole plot of a movie related to the world of gambling and in particular with the "big game" in movies and scenes, in the case poker the only movie that reaches a point very close to telling us a story related to the world of gambling in a near reality is Rounder, something very fictitious and too armed in some scenes, but in the whole (film) and not in a particular scene they manage to capture the attention in the plot.

Now in scenes without discussion that those of James Bond are a classic for most but very elementary and quite predictable, the one I remember is Casino Royale (2006) quite well worked and it is seen that they were professionally advised with real players to create that tense environment and those situations that surround a high stakes poker table.

With names scenes out of that James Bond list, I only have a recent one that I saw and one of those that you can safely invite your partner or wife to see because it is a classic Hollywood romantic melodrama that only has one scene or peak moment in which you can subtly start  understand the drama of losing everything in a situation where you say "I can't lose".

Straight flush to J for Nicolas Cage and on the other hand the winning hand straight flush to Q, those who play poker will understand the situation and those who will not criticize it.

Yeah, James bond isn't made for gambling purposes, gambling was inserted in the film because they're adults or common for some mafia. There are plenty of gambling films that exist right now and very worthy to watch like California split.

Hi, Karl I really like articles related to the James Bond gambling scenes. So I wanted to watch the James Bond movie titles mentioned
in the article again. Especially the film Casino Royale (2006) is very mind blowing, the James Bond character played by Daniel Craig is
very different and looks more human. As a fan of the James Bond film, I am really looking forward to No Time To Die, whose release
schedule is postponed to April 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

James Bond movies introduced the most advanced technology to this world I mean people because from that movie alone a lot of people find such kind of technology is available in the world. And some technologies created just for the purpose of that movie to bring that action more exciting. But its is action-based movies so we can't expect much for gambling-related person there but its good movies to entertain people of all ages.

Is this true? can't find those advanced techs right now in james bond movies, it seems that the prod are just futuristic and made those without any idea if it'll exist in the future.

Nope i don't think that Technologies are just for the Movie ,instead those are created for the Future inventions ,They Gave People idea on how this can work and just added knowledge it will become reality .
and people does because we have those features now.

Apart from just the fight, the whole action sequence in this movie has a separate fan base, maybe we can find movies with the same kind of action thrilling experience in 21st century but James Bond movies gave the same in 1950's itself so it became like a brand name.

Despite being a Gen Z myself, I came to love James Bond films when my grandfather pulled out his tapes and showed it to us. I even remembered how my jaw dropped on how cool his Walter PTK was. Now back to the topic. Casino Royale would definitely take the cake, the actor's natural zazz and manliness (forgot who he was, I was literally 10 when I saw this film) overflowed to the scene's atmosphere, and it's the one I remembered even up to this day, further solidifying the fact that this was remarkable.

Watched a lot of movies during the lockdown period though.

Most of the time when I don't have anything to do is I'm watching different movies neglect what is the genre but I saw some of the scene given on the thread by OP which is giving me a throwback right now, well im not old just watching this movie because of the family who is a fan of James Bond and actions movies. Most commonly with this same scenes are the protagonist will come into a gambling casino just to spy/observer/play and after a few games they will be suspected by the CCTV of the casino because they continuingly winning and the chasing/action starts now.

Not that addicted to it. It's just part of the entertainment why these films have been made and they chose the story line to be in the gambling scene.
No need to be much depth into the issue of addiction and films that are just bringing some real-life issues and lessons that we can learn from the portrayal that they're showing through these masterpieces of movies/series.

I am not an avid fan of james bond movies but i have watched the movies of james bond and one of it was the Casino Royale and yes the top feauture of this movie was gambling and action. But i just didn't appreciate that time what gambling is, i think i have watched it in the time where i didn't appreciate the gambling too. Though i did enjoy watching it and its amazing how James Bond finished the Casino game in favour of him.

I like watching movies as well. I've watched this good movie, however this is a Korean movie, titled "Tazza: The Hidden Card". I find the scenes thrilling and how players have their own tricks when playing cards. I like watching movies about professional gambling, where I can see different tricks and might be some tips I cna use qhen I gamble.

you know them . koreans are good at making films and if your a fan of gambling movies you are sure going to love what they prepare for but i dont think that the trick that they apply on the movie can also be used on real life but that story can be fictious only . for james bond movies , im only familiar with one movie of him about gambling and that was casino royale . the movie was popular that other gamblers on this forum recognize it until now  . i also played a good james bond game on the ninetendo 64 , it was golden eye but not a fan of this movie

Yes, I am really amazed how good Koreans create their plots and twists when they are making movies. I like searching for different movies from different countris aside from Hollywood. I remember one time I had a James Bond movie marathon since my father is a big fan, it's a movie worth watching esepcially that scene where Bond almost died because of poisoning when he was in a poker table.

That is what happens when you actually care about the story instead of just showing a bunch of flashy special effects like Hollywood does these days, which is a shame because they had good story tellers back in the day, and while I understand they are an industry and they need to make money it seems they have left the business of telling an interesting story and they only care about flashiness, which is why I think Hollywood will have a very hard time recovering from the effects of the pandemic.

Me neither. I mean many of those poker scenes are fun to watch, but everyone who plays poker knows how far are they from reality.

~ the only movie that reaches a point very close to telling us a story related to the world of gambling in a near reality is Rounder, something very fictitious and too armed in some scenes, but in the whole (film) and not in a particular scene they manage to capture the attention in the plot.

Rounders is a great movie but its all about cards as I remember, very well done of course its the one to watch for a more accurate portrayal.  The scenes in James Bond have to get straight to the point and obviously its purely for show like anything else in the entire movie, Mr Bond gets the perfect play right at that moment or it'd be a very long movie if realistic.   Theres going to be a few more decent movies to watch if we include casino games generally.

I watched it yesterday, and indeed the whole movie revolves around poker, and the main idea, imo, is that you will go nowhere with cheating. Instead of learning how to cheat, you can learn how to play watching the games of the top poker players, just like the protagonist watching 1988 World Series of Poker Main Event on video tapes(something that is much easier to do now using YouTube).

No matter what happen. James Bond films are the lowest film that has no influence about the gamblers. It was really made purely for action so I doubt it has to do with your camera and others. There are plenty of james bond film that has much more influence.

Agree. I love James Bond movies and the casino scenes are very exciting. Whether or not they influence us to become a player is a dilemma. In my opinion, when we visit land-based Casinos it influences us in such a way that we want to return if we share it especially with friends.
