Nice move! Because I noticed that for the past airdrops, the price went up just before the snapshot, and goes down once it is over. So with the use of random generator to select the last 2 snapshots, no one has a clue when you will get the snapshot. And they don't have time to buy or sell their coins, which will leave those holders just to keep holding on these time periods and for those who want to get the airdrop, they will buy and keep their coins within this timeframe. However, after this period, we may expect a downward movement again. Is the team thinking of other ways how to prevent such scenario?

that's what I'm afraid of. when the snapshot is complete then the PHR market can quickly collapse. that's because the GFN ecosystem is also built on what has been created by PHR.
I hope the GFN and PHR teams can also come up with a way to make their market stronger. $1 is the main price PHR should achieve.

There will be 6 Snapshots taken of Phore Blockchain balances. These Snapshots will be taken at different times.

that means there will be a GFN token distribution scheme gradually and not directly as a whole. because I'm sure not all of the PHR holders also hold their assets long enough until all snapshots are completed. maybe someone joins 2-5 snapshots only. especially seeing the price of PHR which continues to fall.

everyone can participate in the testing process, I think it is logical to think that the people who participated in the first snapshoots will have something to test...
but I suggest you join the community and ask them this question.

I just joined the group but I don't see any enthusiastic discussion about the GFN BSC trial. but this is indeed the beginning, everyone can follow it.
when will all this really be ready? I think everything must be in the planning roadmap for each test and development of the platform until it is ready to be launched to the market.

Once it is fully launched and open, it should try to introduce many new users to the coin as possible. I think Graphene can start hiring community or bounty manager to do the marketing, roll out a bounty campaign or social media.

Michael Trisko, the CEO talked about Graphene in the Phore Telegram:

The initial total supply of Graphene will be based on the airdrop redemptions. That would be up to about 10x the average supply of Phore at the time of the snapshots, minus the excluded addresses (e.g., exchanges that are no longer functioning or not supporting the airdrop for users). It would also be lessened by anything that is not redeemed--I have no way to predict the percentage or timing of redemptions, but I would certainly expect it to be less than 100%. The same 'leakage' may be a factor lessening the total supply when we convert the GFN tokens on BSC back to native GFN coins after the Graphene mainnet goes live.

As far as the emissions schedule for staking/validator rewards, it has not been finalized, and I think will be influenced to some extent by the market dynamics of the GFN token on BSC. The intent has always been to have a low emissions schedule for Graphene. The algorithm is also not a fixed daily pool as it is with Phore--it uses a square root function that increases the total emissions as more validators join the network, on a curve that decreases as more validators join, and decreases more as the number of validators increases. It would approach a maximum based on that, so there would be a logical sort of cap where more validators would not meaningfully increase the emissions.

The design goal would be to keep the emissions low, and yet high enough to make running validators worthwhile--enough to cover hosting costs and have enough ROI on top of that to incentivize people to run validators.
We expect the hosting resources needed to run a validator to be much lower than what a Phore masternode requires--where you might run 1 Phore masternode on a $5/month Vultr VPS, you might be able to run 100 Graphene validators on the same VPS, so the hosting cost per validator if that were the case would be as low as 5 cents per month if you ran 100.

So if we conservatively said the average cost might be somewhere in the range of. 25 cents to a dollar per month, to allow for people who run less validators to still be profitable, we'd want the rewards to be more than that plus let's say a 3-5% annual ROI.

But the actual supply increases would depend on how many validators were running. At a certain minimal level of validators needed to run the network, let's say the total rewards per year was 0.5% of the supply (1 million GFN on a 200 million hypothetical total supply). If the number of validators doubled, it would now have a total rewards per year of somewhat less than 1% of supply, let's say 0.95%. If it doubled again, it would be less than double that, let's say 1.8%. And so on, until it approached the part of the curve where the additional rewards approach zero, so more validators would just mostly divide the rewards among more validators rather than adding more rewards.


So at the beginning with not as many validators, each new validator would not really be competing as much with other validators for the rewards, moreso they would be increasing the total rewards. When we have a much higher number of validators, it would be more like each new validator would be competing for that maximum pool of rewards. This provides a natural incentive for the network to maintain enough validators, and a natural disincentive to keep adding validators infinitely. It also means that there would be more of a supply increase as the network is more active, and less supply increase when the network is less active.
There also may be some reduction in supply happening from slashings, which are a form of "punishing" validators that misbehave on the network, either by not providing the services they agreed to provide over a period of time, or by breaking some of the rules around how they are supposed to perform those services. Hopefully we won't see a lot of slashing, but to the extent it occurs, it would remove some of the staking collateral by burning the funds. If a validator lost half of its collateral through slashings it would be removed from the network.


I don't know if I have clarified things or confused people further, let me know if that explanation makes sense. The bottom line is that we would want to cap the supply increase to a relatively low percentage of the supply, maybe somewhere in the 2-5% range per year, which would keep decreasing percentage-wise as the total supply increases.
