How much btc do you need to secure your future?

I think the value of bitcoin is much more important than its quantity here.
One who now has 1 btc has a much higher value (and more money) than one who had 1000 bitcoins at the beginning of bitcoin development.
That’s why my long-term goal is determined by the amount of money in fiat money and not the amount of bitcoin.
Currently, this long-term goal is at the level of 10 btc, but as the price of bitcoin rises, the desired level of bitcoin will slowly decrease.

I’m not greedy at all. Think the amount of three BTC will cover all my desires. One BTC I will exchange on cash and will use that money for my everyday needs, second BTC I will use for trades, and the third one I will hodl forever. So yes, the amount of three BTC is ideal for me.

3 bitcoin is not enough to last a lifetime, this is all just hypothetical question about the amount and given the current prices of bitcoin, I don't think that 3 bitcoin will be enough for an insured retirement because along the way in your life, there will be emergencies that you might not expect to happen. For me, I would say that the adequate amount of bitcoin to secure a future for me and possibly a family along the way would be around a thousand because this way, any unexpected things are definitely going to be taken care of, even though they hadn't happened yet.

You're right it actually depends on someone's location.
For us, living in a 3rd world country where $1 is considered approximately as 50 times value of our local currency, I can say at least 7 btc for me is enough. Or I guess, that is more than enough because we still don't know what price BTC would have few years from now. And I can somehow create lot of passive incomes having that BTC with me leaving me a secure life in the future. Ain't gonna depend on savings to secure my future, I am much more willing to invest and risk on much more things that would create passive income to financially secure myself.

Before I think having one bitcoin is enough because imagine having the price of the bitcoin equivalent to how many dollars because previously when the price of the bitcoin comes into 10k USD and I just have 0.001 its overprice to me but right now the price of the bitcoin comes again into 50k USD it's a very big difference right now. For me, 5-10 bitcoin is enough but getting this kind of large amount takes a lot of time, hold and different psychological experience because of the trends. Sooner or later we might experience around 60k USD again and before the alt season makes another pump, hoping that this might happen.

With Bitcoin's current growth in value, I think owning just 1 Bitcoin is enough for the future.
We could have more Bitcoin if we make a lot of money right now or not.
I think that the material demand for humans is limitless, so no matter how many Bitcoins we have, we still have to use it appropriately.

I would say about 5-10 BTC should be enough. More the merrier of course.

If we reach the price point of $1 million that many have been predicting, this should leave you with $5-$10 million, which is enough to retire anywhere in the US.

Of course, you could also move somewhere with lower cost of living and make do with a fraction of that.

Obviously this depends on where you are located.  Such as if you live in an expensive place in the US or Canada, then its a lot more than in other countries.  Also if you are young, middle age or older.



I always felt the number had to been minimum 10 if you asked me this years ago.  But now with news articles and videos saying btc true value is somewhere in the 300-400k range... well that 10 btc number certainly is a bit high.  I guess the number probably is minimum 5?  Then again you hear old videos where people say... just make sure you have just 1 bitcoin...as that is enough.  Thus if it goes to 1 million dollars... well that is a lot of money.  Even after taxes, that is a lot.   But when people say its half a million or a million, well then that number could drop to say 2 or even 3.



And i see many people on this forum talk about not having 1 btc and its their goal to get 1 btc.  Obviously back then, it was much easier with the low prices.  But now... anyone who wants 1 btc need to spend 25k... thats a ton of money for most people and most people don't even have that in their savings.  But for someone who is from the West... thus in the US or Canada... what number would you say that should be?  Of course it could be in a wealthy country in say Asia, Europe or Australia.  But you get my point.  I got to assume if you talking about 10 years down the road or more... it has to be minimum 5?  Or minimum 10?  Or is 10 a bit too high?

More than 10 bitcoin is already a big amount of money here in the Philippines, 10 bitcoin would be 24,549,998 million pesos. and it would be a big amount of money and probably would be more than enough to secure your future in the Philippines if you are not going to spend too much on luxurious things or something that is too expensive.

I mean you could easily just buy a 24million pesos house in the Philippines or you could just buy a probably 3million pesos house or something, but around 10 bitcoin is still great you could easily start businesses or invest again to gain much of a profit in the future.

So I think around 50 bitcoin would be the best bitcoin your gonna need to secure your future and at the same time live a luxurious life. Inflation is just like burning your money it just happened so fast.

I also want to dream and fantasize like all of you but hopefully it will come true, we don't know what will happen to the price of bitcoin in the future.
every year the progress of the country will develop and all the prices will definitely continue to increase throughout the year so if I have 5 BTC it looks like it is enough for my lifetime expenses and but I will not depend on my living needs using bitcoin, Maybe half of it will be used for business capital or business for daily necessities and the rest I save.
because I believe the price of bitcoin will continue to rise and that is enough for the rest of my life.

Looking the current value of btc, I will need just 20 btc with me to live a happy and secure life forever. However, it is now a dream for me to achieve that much btc during my whole life unless btc dumps back to $3000 and gives me a chance to buy at least 2 or 3 coins by managing $10k anyhow.

I dont know how to talk about secury future and btc. No one knows btc price next month. How i could think about next 10 years? Maybe 1 btc will be enough for me to never work again. Maybe 1 btc will be not enough for cheap plane ticket. No one really knows, sorry

Probably 1-bitcoin should be very much enough for me becasue that will definitely place me into the class of the millionaires which is the best anyone can ask for. Although, there are countries that this 1-bitcoin can't secure their future but for the third-world with this gesture we will be fine with the future. It depends very much on what sort of future you are looking for and where you want to live. I Reckon a few bitcoin is enough for most people. Third-world country bitcoin users could even go far with just 1 bitcoin perhaps even less. I mean what do you want? Do you want to eat like a king every day and have a fast car and a large house? Or are you ok with things being somewhere in the middle? Additionally, some people don't particularly want to be rich and accept where they are. This is true since many people are given opportunities to earn more profits yet they pass them up.

All of us will come to the point that we have to sell for personal use. Maybe for our personal needs or things that we may find to buy and need in our daily lives or just for the luxury and wants.

I think it's natural because your intention will be used partly to make trades which also require large fees, but there are indeed other alternatives that can also be done besides trading in crypto, of course. because there are many ways but it depends on our abilities too.

5 btc at the present value equals to 248,300$ which is quite a big amount for many people and as the bitcoin prices increases over the years, i think only 1 bitcoin will be enough to live a luxurious life. It really depends upon the price of the bitcoin at that particular time and also in which part of the world you are living.

we cannot equate the existing value of money with what might be experienced from each individual, indeed the value of 5 BTC that you say is very large, but we do not know whether for him the value is appropriate to be used for further work that he wants. do, after all the needs of people are certainly very different and we can not equate with our situation.

for me, with a life situation like now which is already difficult, the value of money is not like a big value anymore because the needs are also increasing and expensive. sometimes i have to find a loan so that what we do can work.
